Terrific Mediterranean/Persian food in a comfortable atmosphere. Service was friendly, helpful with explaining the unknowns, and prompt. We sat outside, the location is closer to the lake, so dress appropriately for the weather. Inside is clean, a bit dated, but who cares as long as the food and service are great. Wow, what a gem! We were visiting relatives near here and had taken the train in from Chicago. We were looking for a good place to eat and we love Mediterranean food, so we decided to give this restaurant a try. Again, wow! For our 1st post-pandemic date-night dinner, we decided to try Phoenicia and loved it. For our 2nd, we came back - because the food is memorably fantastic! The kabobs are amazing, especially the kafta (the lamb and chicken versions also great). Last night I tried the hummus with shawarma, and it was a revelation.
