“Food was great, the outdoor seating was my favorite, with the carpets outside and the decor. It felt like I was sitting in my grandmas garden. Lots of great food and drink options.”
“Had dinner at Ordo and really enjoyed it! The service was outstanding. Ellie our server was great! The food was really tasty. Next time I return I’ll try the fish. Overall an enjoyable evening. A must try. ”
“Love this place. We are new to the neighborhood and tried lots of sushi places around. This is the place for us. Reasonable prices and great quality food.”
“Haven't had Denny's in about 10yrs+ and gosh, has the menu expanded. Was around the area and popped in as there were no other breakfast diners open at 6AM. Pictured here is their Multi-Grain Grand Slam - my choice: eggs overeasy, pork sausage and bacon, which comes with crispy and delicious hashbrowns, and the pancakes were excellent in flavor and texture.”
“Ordered thin crust pizza and it was great. It's nice to have this location and pizza place back. Ask that we all get the word out this is open as it is really good Give it a try!”
“These scones are AMAZING! He had bagels one day, and it was quite the treat. My grandfather has been a regular customer for years, and can confirm the quality is consistent and customer care is superb. Many people think of scones as dry, but these are wonderfully moist! My suggestions would be the apple cinnamon or strawberry scones for a first time try.Dietary restrictions: They had options for vegan and gluten free sensitivities. Not all options are gluten free, but are clearly labeled as such.”
“Food was delish, felt super rushed by our waitress who kept constantly appearing to take our order while the ladies hadn’t reviewed menu or were trying to catch up. I did enjoy a cocktail at the bar solo and had a nice chat with the young bartender. Overall a little noisy. But good experience overall.”
“This was the first time here and definitely will not be the last, starting off, our server was the best (Monica) she was attentive and was there each time we needed something, she was very personable and an assett to the restaurant. Next... the food (fairly priced)EVERYTHING was fresh, hot and DEELISH, and we were celebrating 2 birthdays, which each person got a birthday card signed by the staff, it was a nice touchI definitley recommend this place.”
“HP institution. Norton's is a great little bar. A bit pricey for the end product, but they have decent bar food and better-than-bar food, along with a nice selection of beverages. A small variety of taps, though what they do have are fine choices. Good service. Gets a little loud sometimes, but it's a bar. Whaddaya gonna do?”
“Service, ambiance, atmosphere and wine is what you will find at this location. There are some foo foo small bite foods available as well but I did not get into those upon my initial visit. This is a lovely fairly recent addition to Highland Park and one that I recommend you explore. If the name sounds familiar, it should. There are two other locations you may very well be familiar with, one on Waukegan road in Wheeling, and the other in Roselle. I would recommend starting with a flight to get a better feel for the range of wines they offer. There are your expected staples, along with some more aperitif sweeter options. Some of my faves this visit were the Tempranillo 2019,Sauvignon blanc, and the Syrah. The sweets were honestly too sweet for this kid. There is a wine club that you can join and I recommend that you do, we did! If you are looking for a third place to catch up with friends or family, the HP location will definitely lend itself well. Also take advantage of Wine Down Wednesdays for additional deals as well. If you happen to be visiting The Lot for an event, caddy corner across the street, this venue is literally steps away, be sure to stop in and say hello. If needed, the parking across from the venue allows three hours free.”
“Great brews and great food!Stopped here after the botanical gardens. It is like a 6 minute drive from the gardens. And worth the trip for sure. The birria and mardi ramens were fantastic! Fried ramen was great too! Can't wait to go back!”
“I really wanted to love-love this place. Cool art deco meets art nouveau atmosphere. Smilish novelties for sale. Good enough chai and menu offerings. But man, a simple “hi” attitude and a some background music would go a long way in this joint. After all, today is the greatest…. (P.S. awesome Chop Suey sign!!)”
“Delicious breakfast and lunch options . Also gluten and dairy free options . Best avocado toast, tuna salad and the cookies and other desserts are are so delicious !”
“Went to Walker Bros for breakfast with the family after a long time and it's still so good. The HP location is my favorite to go to. The staff is friendly, the wait is always reasonable, and the food is always great. For a party of 3 they sat us within 5 minutes and they even gave my son some crayons and a maze to color on. For food we split a few things. The Blueberry pancakes were so fluffy and delicious, I recommend to throw a bit of their blueberry compote on there as well. The spicy has browns with habanero cheese and pico de gallo is one of my favorite things to get here and it's always so flavorful and does a good job balancing out the sweetness of pancakes. We also had sausage links and bacon. Both were really good. The links are solid, but their bacon is my favorite, it's the right thickness and perfect blend of meaty and crispy. We also had some of their fresh squeezed OJ which is a must every time.”
“Service was excellent and I had the ribs and orange shrimp appetizer for dinner. Food came out quickly and was hot. Highly recommend but make reservations as it gets busy.”
