“Such a spectacular space! I am the client concierge for a financial group & we held a cocktail party for some of our clients in the Soto Room private bar last night. Our staff & guests loved the experience! I heard many good things about the smoked Old Fashioned & was very impressed with the serving vessel. So cool! The pizza was also delicious. New Haven style pizza might just be my new favorite! We can’t say enough good things about the space & talent behind the bar. Mike was wonderful to work with, very kind, quick & considerate in his approach. I look forward to our next visit!“
“My boyfriend and I were coming home from Florida and we were so hungry! My boyfriend pulled into Bucky's, you can't miss it, there is a huge sign! The gas station is huge, it reminds me of a Walmart! There are more than enough gas pumps. There are delis, clothing and much more! You will not be disappointed!“

“Stopped here on the way home and it was very good. I would recommend it to anyone who is passing through. We went on a Friday evening around 5:30cpm and it wasn't very busy. The food took a little longer to come out but overall I would recommend it.“

“Once you have had a slice at SLYCE, all other pizzas seem not good enough. Highly recommend adding the sausage, Caribbean chili, roasted garlic, chili oil (if you can handle some spice) as toppings if you are going for a custom pizza!Would recommend eating at the restaurants vs take out for the ambience and while the crust is warm.“

“Fantastic, old school spot for a fabulous meal. I've been going here since I was a kid and nothing has changed. They have a warm and comfy dining room on one side with tables and big deep booths, and on the other side is a lively 360° oval bar with booths and tables around the perimeter, great bartenders, and you can get full meal service at the bar with a full place setting. Prices are reasonable, the food is all good / consistent, they make a wonderful hamburger on dark rye, ribs are amazing, and it's kid friendly!“

“This Dominos is seriously just always on point. The crust of my pizza is actually seasoned, it’s actually cooked, the wings and tots are always crispy….and they never take very long. Place is literally never a mess when I go in, I always see someone working or cleaning or on an order.“

“I absolutely loved visiting! Pizza was amazing and the hospitality was unmatched! We tried slices of so many different varieties and couldn’t decide on our favorite! The salad and asparagus were so refreshing and brought the perfect balance to our meal. I can’t wait to come back!! If you are anywhere near Evanston you need to stop by, and if not you need to add this to your travel list!“

“We came by to Moe's after hearing about an advertisement for a special brunch event, and we were floored by the wonderful people running this place! They were very friendly and inviting, and held a simple but classic brunch with mimosas and the atmosphere was kind and caring! We haven't been to it in the evening as a bar, but this brunch special is something they'd like to run monthly and we'll worth it!“

“Came in again to try out their pizza special. I got the 2 slices and a drink last time, and it was too much for me. Just got a slice of sausage, and my usual soda can. Place is usually nice and clean. Everyone is friendly and acknowledges you when you walk in. It was cooked nicely and great crust. It wasn't too hard or soft, but just the right amount of crunch. The best part is that it's not really greasy like others. Big plus in my book. I definitely would come back if I'm in the area. Perks of working out in the field and trying new places.“

“These guys nailed the Indian-fusion food! Simple but excellent adaptations of classic favourites from Indian, Korean, American, Mexican, Italian cuisines (and then some!)We tried the vada pav (Indian burger with stuffed fried potato patty, spices etc) tacos samosa and chicken tikka were both delicious! Momos (potstickers), thin crust pizza, and samosa chaat (smashed samosas with chickpeas, chutneys, onions etc)Pleasantly surprised every dish done just perfectly with its own twist on the original. And lovely presentation. They have an ice cream station (not to be missed!)The place is casual, perky and fun… Absolutely try this place out.“

“The best thin crust option in the area (Lou's is still my favorite deep dish). They do not skimp on toppings at all like every other competitor around here, which is why I recommend you order your pizza well done (option is in drop-down menu during ordering process. Enjoy!“

“interesting pub that has all the normal pub fare - but also some unusual stuff like saganaki, buffalo chicken pizza, and southwest fish tacos. Service was great for me and my friend. Can sit at the bar or at high-top tables. They even have salads and burgers that are much better than usual.“

“I can't understand the negative reviews. I brought my three girls here for lunch and we had an amazing lunch! We last dined here about a year ago. The service was incredibly fast, the fried calamari was delicious, and the pizza was amazing. My picky eater asked for four more meatballs after devouring the first three that came on her spaghetti. I decided to try the soup/sandwich combo. It was so difficult to choose a sandwich because they ALL sounded amazing. I was very pleased with the Italian sandwich with the asparagus soup. I wish I would have brought a quart of the soup home for my husband to enjoy. The ingredients are fresh and everything tastes wonderful. I am already looking forward to our next visit!!“

“We picked up our first pizza from Pizza Pavia tonight. The phone staff was friendly and efficient. We arrived early and had a beer at the bar. We only hope that they put in draft beers soon rather than only bottled beers. It looked like they had a nice selection of wine and seltzers too. The bar staff was friendly and helpful. We took our pizza home and ate it. It was absolutely delicious! It reminded us of little Italian in Buffalo Grove that closed years ago. Thin and crispy with just the right amount of sauce and cheese. We will definitely order from Pizza Pavia again and again.“

“Excellent pizza! The sauce is not sweet but savory with proper seasoning. Their thin crust is so good that if I move away, I would drive hours to come back regularly. The service is friendly and helpful, and they even store my order info, so I can call up and order "the usual". Thank you for your excellence Pizza Italia!“

“I love Pequod's so when I heard we had a place on the North Shore that was similar I was definitely intrigued. But also definitely skeptical. It's a small joint with zero atmosphere so it didn't look promising. But man oh man, the crust does not lie. Another reviewer called out the sausage and I have to agree. That might have been the best sausage deep dish that I've ever had. I almost wish my stomach were bigger so that I could have had a third slice. I can't wait for summer so I can truly enjoy a pizza on the sidewalk, something you could never do at Pequod's.“

“Chiefs will always retain a place in my heart because they bucked the trend during the whole covid debacle. While I'm not really a sports bar aficionado, if that's your thing, then I think this is the place to be.Bar food is better than average, and service is outstanding.I did dock Chiefs one-star on food because they dropped two healthy items that I really liked from the menu - baked cod and kale salad. You can't go wrong with a burger here, and the flatbreads are really good. But I'm not a fan of their pizza, which to my taste has too much cheese and two little flavor. Nevertheless, pizza seems to be a common order amongst the regulars, so I might be in the minority with this view.“

“We are very particular about our pizzas and Northshore Pizza was exceptional! We ordered the stuffed pizza and wouldn't change a thing. -The crust is flavorful with a slightly crisp bottom ....perfect platform for the generous amount of cheese on top. The tangy sauce is delicious and brings the pizza to life. Even the customer service is great! These guys know what there doing! Definitely our new go-to.“

“We used Grateful Bites to cater my mother's 70th birthday party this past weekend and it was unbelievable! Matt and his staff anticipated our every need and made the party an absolute success. They brought the mobile wood fired pizza oven and passed bacon wrapped dates/caprese skewers for apps and then served salmon, sausage and rapini pasta, and arugula salad for plated dinner. The guests all raved about the food! Margarita was the service lead and Dennis manned the open bar. All the staff was fantastic but these two specifically really made everything feel easy and took care of the guests until the bitter end.Cannot recommend Grateful Bites enough for their catering services!“

“It's been a while since we've been here. Where have all the large pizza's gone?Is it just me or have they shrunk too?Granted we ordered all thin crusts (the pan style takes a bit longer) Our three kids get antsy waiting lol2 large (3 toppings), 1 medium (one topping), 1 personal size specialty (to go)1 lemonade, 1 rootbeer, 1 milk, everyone else water. Bill was $100. Every crumb of pizza was devoured, nothing to take home except the personal pizza to go.Parking: Smallish parking lot considering the size of the restaurantKid-friendliness: It's a wide open two level restaurant. “Love the cosiness of the place and seem to have lots of return customers. It has a big selection of different combination of pasta and pizza, essentially any pasta can be made with any sauce. The portion was very generous. I tried the ceasar salad and it was good. The dressing is more garlicky than other places, but still good. The pasta was spinach pappardelle bolognese made with ground turkey. I also had side of sautéed spinach and meat ball.“

“It's a small restaurant with big food! You will want to go early because they don't reservations. Wine list could use an update. They were out of a particular Italian red wine on the list, and the white wines need an overhaul. Otherwise, everything was excellent.“

“I love the Pizzalad so much! I picked one up tonight to enjoy with my sister and we ate the entire 14 inch because it was sooo good. We got the ranch on the side which I prefer because it feels even more healthier this way. Thank you for this unique alternative approach to pizza!“

“Really tasty. Got a pan crust sausage, onion and giardiniera. Cooked to perfection. Wife kept stealing my crust because it was so good (she got the chopped salad. It was huge and delicious). We came in with a bunch of rowdy 10yr old boys after a soccer game and pretty much took the place over. They were very patient and accommodating. The kids really enjoyed their thin crust cheese, too! We will definitely be back.“

“I was looking for an inexpensive lunch special close to my work and Pizanoz came up. Though I'm not a big fan of the spelling of "Pizanoz", I read the reviews and did the research to give it a try. There was a picture in the Yelp listing from over 4 years ago (2019?) stating that a slice of deep dish meat lovers pizza was $4. I thought it was highly unlikely that the prices would be the same, post-pandemic, but to my surprise, they were pretty close! Pizza by the slice is now (03/12/24) $4 deep dish sausage or pepperoni, $4.75 for deep dish meat lovers. What a deal! I got the sausage and with a drink, the total was $5.09 after tax! While I don't know the cost of the thin crust slices, they're surely under $4 and worth a try. Regarding the deep dish or pan style pizza itself, I loved it. The crust was soft and doughy and seasoned lightly. There was a nice layer of thick cheese and the sausage was packed with fennel and was a great with the tangy tomato sauce. I was full after eating 3/4 of the slice. The cashier was patient with me as I weighed the options and was happy to answer my questions on the price and options. There's no dining here, so as far as ambiance, I would say that it feels quaint and personable here, like you're stepping into a family business that has been around for a long time. I'll be back for sure, and after one more positive food experience, I'd be ready to upgrade the rating to 5 stars.“

“Really can’t think of anything that was missing from our visit to Neapolita! Came here for a quick bite before catching the train and sat at the bar for a glass of wine, the burrata, and a bowl of the kale and bean zuppe. It was outrageous how simple and delicious those things were, so I ended up ordering a pizza to go! The pizza had to be reheated but it was still amazing. I’d love to go back. Thanks for such quality service and food!“

“I really liked this place! I work in the area and have been trying for roughly a year to find a nice spot for a burger and a beer. I came here before a basketball game last week and while I am shocked I have never been here before, it won't be my last time. This place is a little bit on the smaller side, but I sat at the bar. It looks like it gets busy often so the servers were kind of running around alot. However, when they did speak to me, they were excellent. I went with their Central Street Melt (their version of a Patty Melt) and that was EXACTLY what I had a taste for! Everything was very good including the fries. They also ran a pretty nice Happy Hour which worked well for my situation. Really the only "downside" was that it looks like they can get overwhelmed quickly as I mentioned that the service was a smidgen slow. Still, that shouldn't keep anybody from coming to this place. If you are looking for an upscale sports bar that is OPEN FOR LUNCH, look no further than Bluestone. I tend to have lunch meetings with vendors. Evanston has been lacking on some hip lunch spots so this is going on the list (sans beer of course!)“

“My wife and I have been dining at this local favorite Italian spot for years, and its claim to fame may be its consistency. The menu is not large (which can be a good feature), and the dishes are freshly made and flavorful. Tonight we enjoyed Fettuccine Oliverii (with chicken and broccoli) and Penne Puttanesca. Our server and bus person were both attentive and well trained (they have worked there for years and it shows in a positive way).I wish my penne dish had actual anchovies in it, as the menu described it, but the capers and black olives added a good flavor. As usual on a Friday night, the small dining room (16 tables) was busy and the ambient sound was loud but not unpleasant. This place is a good local standby, and its kitchen consistently prepares and delivers quality Italian fare.“

“It was my first time coming to this place because my friend recommended it and we all went. I thought it was a fancy sit down restaurant but it’s a nice fast food joint. It’s like a subway so you could built your own pizza. It was very delicious and the lemonade is one of the best I’ve had. I totally recommend checking it out. It’s very affordable around $15 for a some big personal pizza. I give it 10 out of 10 for one of the best pizzas I’ve ever had.“

“Found this Lou Malnati's in the area and wanted to do a pickup order because no trip to the Windy City is complete without some deep dish. I used the website to order ahead and there were 2 options: sooner or later. Very easy to navigate the website and you pay ahead to place the order. My sis and I got the cheese deep dish for 2 which was the best portion, with tax only paid like $17! We didn't add any extra toppings so it roughly took only 30 mins. Quick checkout and the place was hopping! The pizza itself was a dream - loved every bite and well baked.“

“Visiting the Bahai Temple nearby, JPs was an easy walk and well worth the stroll. Immaculate and charming inside, with large rectangular checkered covered tables and benches perfect for family or casual reunions. The menu catered to a range of tastes, and designer Pizza selections were extensive. We ordered spinach salad with beets and walnuts, and the North Beach pizza. We watched our gluten free pizza dough being rolled through kitchen doorway. The cheeses were unique and exquisite. Easily the best GF pizza I've tasted. But there's more. Dishes were delivered to our table with personal care, and coffee arrived in a full pot - a dark roast freshly hand filtered. This cafe is full of surprises and a momentary journey to a vacation setting. Please add JPs to your secret get away list.“
