“It's fast food but it's awesome. They've got a large menu and the food is always excellent. The service is fast. They usually bring the food you ordered to your table. The employees are kind. I highly recommend this place to anybody that is in the area and wants to get a quick inexpensive bite to eat.“

“We order from here alot for our office. Today I called at 10:45am and placed a big order with alot of I don't want this, want extra that. Mario was awesome and read it back perfectly. We picked it up, and the bags had exactly what was in them per order. They have never done this before but it sure helps to not take someone else's sandwich or have to open the foil and dig through someone else's order. Mario went above and beyond.. our food was right and everything was perfect down to the extra pickles. I called to let them know and Mario remembered me and was happy to hear the praise and thanks but I also wanted to post this publicly. You won't be sorry ordering from here!!! Oh and one person in the office raves about the ranch and would drink it if she could.. it's very good!!!“

“Only reason I don’t give it a 5 is because there has been a couple times where my order was supposed to be ready for take out and I had to wait 20 minutes for it. I come during my lunch hour so that’s a good half hour waisted because of the delay and then I just have 30 mins or less to shove the food basically. The workers seemed to be working pretty fast so I think it may be a short staffed issue.“

“Sunday morning midday, I thought that there would be a wait for a table, but they were able to put us at a table by the kitchen/bathrooms. I've dined at Egg Harbors throughout the years and the menu seems pretty consistent although they did have a lot of new coffee drinks. My Bacado (bacon-avocado) omelette was fine, with a generous portion of avocados. This came with an English muffin and diced potatoes. My companion ordered the avocado toast and they said their over medium eggs were cold. Otherwise a fine breakfast. Our server made sure our drinks were filled and even offered to provide Togo containers for them. Easy to pay with QR code on receipt.“

“I just moved to the area and was looking for a great Gyro. Wow, did I find exactly what I was looking for. Spiro's is authentic, delicious and the owners and staff have tremendous pride in the food they make for their customers. I was set on an Gyro but the owner made me a sample of the Bomber to give me a taste of what I will order on my next visit - the bread was soft, gravy delicious and the beef thinly sliced with tons of flavor. If you are looking for a delicious sandwich or fries, Spiro's is a great spot.“

“There were some great updates to the atmosphere with this new owner. We have not been here since 2019 when it was Tasty Spin. The owner was SUPER friendly and the place was very clean with some nice updates to the space. We had the gyro combo and it was outstanding! I will always stop here when I am in town.“

“They give you nice fat chunks of gyro meat here, it's excellent. My wife and I had a Chicago dog, pizza puff, bomber special, onion rings, Oreo shake. Everything was very good and the prices were fine. Bomber Special and Pizza Puff were my faves. Great dive vibes; it's a tiny 8-stool bar with a little TV in the corner. Playing tennis when I went (hell yeah)The gyro meat was chunky and had a good bite, and with BBQ sauce on the bomber special it was insane. The onion rings are breaded and I personally prefer battered, but the breading was even and fried well, and the inside was all beautiful stringy onions. Pizza puff was fantastic, great cheese and sauce ratio and really satisfying bites all the way through.Chicago dog was good, they use a poppyseed bun (I'm sick of going to spots with regular buns, this is a real dog) except I think the sports peppers were a little heavy. Tomatoes were a little light, but I prefer that. Oreo shake was excellent, it was creamy and a little icey in a good wayThe guy was really nice too. He was great at interacting with the customers that were interested and laying off the ones just trying to enjoy their food. 10/10 spot“

“Late Sunday night can't believe they were open, didn't want to cook. Glad to be helped out by Rachel at the speaker and the window. I have managed retails and restaurant locations for over 16 years and an employee like Rachel is special. Very kind, bright and welcoming and witty banter to make my visit stand out. “I've driven past this place so many times and I finally decided to try it out. Only carry-out and delivery right now with the pandemic. I ordered 2 Big Island Classic burgers, 1 smokehouse burger, and another basic burger with one small cheese fry. It took 25-30min for preparation. This seems to be a 2 man operation (dad and maybe his daughter) and it was at prime lunchtime. I didn't realize the description online said the island and smokehouse burgers were on french bread so that was a surprise but not bad. Personally, we weren't the biggest fans of how the burgers were cooked, charred and well-done, but the toppings were great and my sister said the ketchup to mayo ratio on hers was perfect! The cheddar fries are Merkt's cheddar which I now know isn't my favorite but for those that like Merkt's, there is lots of it and covers all the fries. Thanks for lunch, Little Island :-)“

“I do like Culver’s fish sandwich. My sister went to pick up 3 sandwiches for my dad, myself and my sister. When she got home I put my hand in the bag to get sandwich out and felt something warm and in just a wrapper was my fish without a bun. I felt like I was in a horror movie about to unwrap a warm heart or something. Who was the dipshit that did that? My sister always ask for a hamburger bun because I do not like the thick bun the fish comes with. To all workers at Culver’s please pay attention when an order is placed.“

“I've never been to a Culver's in spite of living near one in a few states. The burgers put me in the mind of a smash burger I've had somewhere else. Good but not the best when I think of a great beef burger. My preference is one from Longhorn or Burgerhaus.“

“Run over to this little spot on Bank Lane, a side street in the center of town, for a perfectly presented Chicago Style hot dog. Delicious! The seeded bun, the soft boiled dog, impeccably chosen toppings-- superb! I really loved the water canister-- a simply beautiful "thing" that delighted me! I saw a Not-So-Sloppy Joe coming out and I'm coming back for that! It's a friendly clean place. The owner said they've been around since 1963! Coming from a town in Ohio that has a famous place called The Hot Dog Shop, well, I'm not easy to please in this department-- but today I got WOWED! I'll be back for the homemade soups (the mom makes these I'm told) and today it is Wedding Soup and Tomato Soup. Lots of others good choices on the menu.“

Kind of a cool old place that's been around since 1969. Boy did I take my time getting here. The restaurant is really dated & has a ton of old photos of different sports figures of by gone era (kind of like me lol ). It was kind of cool to finally stop in and share in the moment. I ordered a hot dog but not just any hot dog a Vienna Beef dog w/everything except relish. You can't go wron w/a Vienna Beef hot dog in my eyes. “I never do reviews of places but had to get online immediately after I had the food from Hangry Joe’s. I tried their hot dry rub tenders and waffle fries. I’m usually a saucy kind of guy but I had their hot dry rub and was hooked. The rub is phenomenal if you like your tenders spicy and the waffle fries were nice and crispy. Definitely check this place out if you haven’t. 10/10 food!“

“One of the best places in the area to get a healthy bite to eat! I've seen managers at nearby stores take their employees to eat here as well, instead of staying at their own establishment! It may be that when I'm driving by its too early, and that's why they seem dead. After walking in and confirming that they were open and ready for business, I was thrown back to see how spacious, clean, and very nice the inside of the restaurant looked. I order chicken tenders, Italian beef, and curly fries. I was shocked to see the size of these chicken tenders. I asked for the beef to be hot and dipped. They provided me with the hot peppers and 2 containers with the juice to dip my beef in. WOW!!!!!!! I LOVED IT. It just sad that I live so far south. So I may just move to Northbrook just to be close to this spot. Very friend, great food, and decent prices.“

“It was my first time coming to this place because my friend recommended it and we all went. I thought it was a fancy sit down restaurant but it’s a nice fast food joint. It’s like a subway so you could built your own pizza. It was very delicious and the lemonade is one of the best I’ve had. I totally recommend checking it out. It’s very affordable around $15 for a some big personal pizza. I give it 10 out of 10 for one of the best pizzas I’ve ever had.“

I can only imagine this place gets swarmed during lunch hours in the middle of the work week with contractors, car dealership employees and oodles of takeout orders.With a competitor such as Portillo's which is extremely popular in the city and suburbs which I've had my fair share of, I'd rather eat here. Not aware of any Portillo's location at least not in Lake County that serves gyros or fresh cut fries.That's something that the owner(s) of Max's can be proud of and I'm always happy to support local. Take a really good look at the photos that I’ve posted. you see that end of that hotdog you see how it’s twisted you see how it overhangs the bun well those are all great signs. Have a wonderful delicious hotdog. Also, I would like to point out the toppings sauerkraut ,sport peppers. These are the two things that we really should have on every single Chicago style hotdog and the only ketchup you see insight is on them fries and let me say ,them fries were crispy delicious warm in the center just the way you expected crinkle cut fries to be. they have mastered the art of the Chicago style hotdog and the crinkle cut fry.Parking: It’s certain times of a day it might be a little difficult to get a prime spot so you might have to walk about 25 to 50 feet to the door but man is that walk worth it and you’re gonna need it once you leave because the food is so damn good!Wheelchair accessibility: All the tables are wheelchair height and all the chairs can be moved to accommodate anyone in a wheelchair“

The employees recognized me greeted me made sure I got everything that I needed and with a smile on their faces. I ordered very quickly. “Nostalges Dairy Queen is walk-in service only. Few idealic parking spaces in the back and two in front no area is to sit around except on the guardrail. Totally what I remember growing up. Service is what you expect it's crowded everyone everybody wants ice cream a hot day, they're doing the best they can. Great flavor of ice cream and special treats. Dairy Queens are independently run, each place can charge their own prices. So you will find other Dairy Queens with other prices, FYI.“
