“I spent 3 nights here. The hotel is really nice in my opinion. First night was a Friday night. Ordered some alcoholic drinks that were really good. The Thai calamari & Louie burger and fries. Food was great, bartenders that night were really great. Second night. Different crew and the restaurant was pretty packed believe the Milwaukee brewers were playing the cubs to wrap up the series. So yea that was the atmosphere of that night vs Friday night super lowkey fast service. Obviously it was harder to get served that night. I got burnt tenders and the wrong food . So I had to return it immediately. Which was already after waiting an extensive time to even get water to our table. So yea took away from the experience overall. Each visit spent over 100$. Oh and I got that chocolate cake dessert, it was nasty. They had breakfast. Breakfast was good . However, we were told that breakfast came with the room. Every morning we went down for it. The morning of our departure we were met at our table (after we already began eating) how we were going to pay for the food. Nobody discussed / disclosed that you had to have a voucher or pay at the desk. We were told at check in it was covered. Obviously had to escalate it . Still felt like an explanation was not clear. I pretty much answered it myself. So the communication of the staff to customer could definitely use some work. Overall stay was good . Hotel was nice and clean. Only took pics of the good looking food from Friday night & the breakfast.”

“I made my first visit to Prime Sushi & Ramen today. It won't be my last. I ordered negihama maki (yellowtail roll) and salmon roll for pickup. My order was ready on time, the portions of fish were high quality and generous, and they got my special request (no wasabi) right. I haven't had the dine-in experience yet, but they occupy the former Amore Mio space, which is lovely. I'm delighted to have another fine restaurant in that space, and I look forward to becoming a regular!”

“Decided to have dinner here a few nights ago and was very pleased with our decision. For appetizers we had edamame and takoyaki. Mains, I had spicy beef ramen with a big beef rib in it, my husband had beef curry rice, my daughter had pork katsu rice, and her fiance spicy chicken ramen. Everything was delicious. You can have the spice level adjusted to your preference, I ordered Mild and one of us ordered Fire (spiciest, using habanero peppers). Free refills on sodas. Service was fast and our server was very friendly and accommodating. Plenty of parking out front. Definitely recommend it. We would come back here again. 👍”

“Came here with a few friends and family to play darts. It was 930 pm and we were told we were being too loud- literally cheering that my mom got a bullseye. Because it was apparently their dinner hour… one table was eating. The bartender started swearing at us and the other was so concerned we cheered yet let a dad pay her off to allow a teenager in days ago. Handed us the bill and then called the cops on us. Mind you the cops laughed hearing how they were. Would not recommend a thing. Terrible atmosphere and incompetent rude staff.”

“Dinner | $20–30 Service is very poor here, especially after they hired a new chef who uses garbage ingredients and does not even use the ingredients that is listed on the food description. We ordered the basil Thai rice with chicken after having a good experience the first time with nice large pieces of white meat chicken. Well sadly the second time instead of using chicken, they put a bunch of mushrooms and there are not supposed to be any mushrooms in there and there was not any chicken. So I called and I spoke with Annie, who was supposed to be the manager. She said that I would have my next mail free. So I called today and ordered basil fried rice with chicken. Instead of getting basil fried rice with chicken I got a small container of brown rice plain and then a container of something that looks like ground beef with a few basil, leafs and onion. It was the most disgusting thing I’ve ever had and it was absolutely not basil fried rice. It looked like they ground up chicken organs, and it tasted even worse. I would avoid this place at all cost because clearly they don’t care about quality and service any longer and when they make a big mistake, they double down and make the mistake again and they don’t really care to make things right.”

As far as the service went the lady with the cane, even though it look like she was struggling she served us all and always asked us if we wanted a drink or some snacks or anything. “Umart Foods & Bake Shop is a solid choice for homestyle Filipino food in Hoffman Estates. We ordered bopis, papaitan, beef kaldereta, lechon kawali, and pork and chicken BBQ; all of which were delicious and perfectly cooked. The only dish that fell a little short was the pancit bihon, which could have used more meat and vegetables, though the flavor was still good.

For dessert, the maja blanca was just okay, it could have been richer and more flavorful. On the other hand, the breads and snacks were excellent. The uraro cookies were legit and delicious, the ube piaya was so good I wished I had bought more, and the pandesal was soft, fluffy, and fresh.

Service was mostly pleasant, the man who checked us out and the older lady who took our orders were both nice and friendly. The woman cashier, however, came across as more businesslike and not as warm.

Overall, this was a 4-star experience ⭐⭐⭐⭐. The food and baked goods were authentic and delicious, with just a few areas that could be improved.”
