“Those of you who read my reviews know that I am allergic to milk. Why, you might ask, is he reviewing a Dairy Queen?The answer is, I went in for a slush drink, simply fruit juice (lots of sugar) and ice. What I found was they have dairy free and gluten free options.There aren't a lot, but they have some, what I call, "fake ice cream" bars in the freezer case. I had something similar to a Klondike Bar - fake ice cream dipped in dark chocolate on a stick. You know what? I was good. We live about two miles from here and, when I'm at the plaza, I'll stop in again.In the Northwest Suburbs, we need more dairy-free, gluten-free options. A few have sprung up over the years, but this one is very easy to get to.“
