“I love this place! The chicken Marsala is incredible! We also had eggplant roll acting as an appetizer, linguine with clams, gnocchi and manicotti! All great and we all have dinner for tomorrow! Service is great and always like talking to the owner, who makes you feel like you are his personal guests! Only suggestion for improvement is to assign the waitstaff to one area! This happened last time too. The servers are running all over! Be a little kinder to them. They work so hard!“
“I have lived away from the Chicago area for 26 years. So whenever I am back I must indulge in a great Italian beef sandwich. I was staying near Midway so I decided to give Tony's a try. They did not disappoint. I phone ordered the "big beef" with hot peppers and provolone medium wet to go. They told me about ten minutes. I got there about 30 minutes later expecting to quickly pay pickup and be on my way but had to wait about 5 minutes or so. But I realized this was a good thing as they meticulously assembled the order with the peppers and oil in a separate container which otherwise would have made the sandwich a soggy mess by the time I got back to the hotel. The beef was perfectly moist and seasoned and the sandwich was huge. I only planned to eat one half but could not stop. The staff was super friendly. It is pretty much a take out spot with a small counter eat in area and a small off the street parking area in the back. I highly recommend Tony's for any connoisseurs of the Chicago style Italian beef sandwich.“
“We came here from Naperville since we had business nearby. Had to park three blocks away on an early Friday evening. Overall it was a great experience but somewhat expensive with 3 drinks. It got pretty noisy when full. Sharply decorated and very good food and menu selection. Waitress attentive but busy. I would go back especially for a special occasion.Nice portions on starter , entrees and dessert. Marco's is a nice independent upscale restaurant in the Western Suburbs. They obviously did their homework on this operation.“
“My husband and I came here for lunch and enjoyed the excellent service and food. The focaccia bread and olive oil with garlic and hummus was to die for and we were getting full before our meal came. We ordered mussels, salad, pasta and seafood risotto. Of course we had to take half of entrees home since we enjoyed the focaccia bread! I have been here before with my friends and ate outside on a Monday night over the summer and also had an excellent meal. We will definitely come back.“
“A friend told me about this neighborhood gem. I'm blown away by the friendly atmosphere and staff. If you're looking for something special and authentic this is the place to visit. Everything made in-house and freshly prepared with care and love“
“I loved the food, the server was excellent, the drink was small but the NOISE LEVEL was too loud. I dont think my husband and I will be back. We even went at 5:30 pm thinking it would not be as crowded but it still just roared by the time we left.“
“Pizza was good, but it isn’t my preferred style. Toppings were all excellent, but I would personally like more sauce. I called for pick up and it was ready in about 20 minutes. I got one pepperoni, one sausage, and one Italian beef with mild giardinera.“
“EXCELLENT DATE NIGHT SPOT!Stopped one night after a Blackhawks game. I was worried we were completely underdressed, It was obvious that it is a small neighborhood restaurant when the waitress asked if we'd ever been and said she didn't recognize us. The menu was amazing! The authentic Italian cuisine is very flavorful and the portions are perfect. We will definitely be back!“
“Went in for dinner with my daughters, and the ambiance was so friendly, being greeted when walking in. We did not have to wait long for a table for 5, we had the cod dinner, pizza, chicken tenders, and cheeseburger. The girls and I loved it. Can't believe we moved to Midlothian over a year ago and we just tried this place!! We sure have been missing out.“
“I catered from Frankie Deli’s this past weekend for my brother’s birthday. I had my entire family raving about how delicious everything was. I ordered the lasanga, chicken parm and lemon chicken. There was no food leftover. Highly recommend!!“
“Celebrated my bday on Monday . Food was delicious as always , waitress was pleasant and very attentive. The only reason I am giving 4 stars it’s because the hostess was very rude and ignorant. If you having a bad day maybe next time take a day off . No one wants to see your attitude.“
“Wow...the shrimp appetizer is pretty awesome! Completely blown away by the Ravioli w/ spinach and mushrooms!!! Both are dynamite...highly recommend them! Our server was the best too! She recommended the shrimp...very grateful for that recommendation! We'll definitely be back soon!!!“
“True Italian cooking in a bar like setting, has a private side room away from the bar and outdoor seating weather permitting. Long time established bar that has been remodeled to make it more family friendly.Parking: Newly asphalt parking lot that can get full, but street parking is close by.Wheelchair accessibility: Handicap spots right by entrance and no stairs inside.“
“Can’t lie it was funny how my order came about but the sweetest delivery lady was in my building and the smell alone was tantalizing. I asked where is that from?!! And next think you know we were eating ROSATI’S for dinner. Me and my wife loved it. And we appreciate how they got it to us and took the order even though they closed at 10. It was fresh and piping hot. Without all the expensive cost of Uber eats. Crust could’ve been a little crispier but I understand it was time to shut the ovens down!! Amazing service too“
“Our server, Tacho, is the best! He will give you a five star restaurant experience in the south suburbs of Chicago! And… our busser, Juan, is the hardest worker and kindest person! We love our experience everytime we come in. This is a family staple for us and our extended family.Kid-friendliness: This is our kids favorite restaurant! Believe it or not, restaurants CAN mess up “buttered noodles”….but not here! They nail it everytime and they always accommodate our request for crumbled sausage on top!“
“We enjoyed the appetizers , drinks dessert and service . Jodie our server was amazing and very attentive. All the recommendations made by her, we loved. Thank you Jodie .We ordered bruschetta , calamari, chopped salad, minestrone soup, peace bianco alla spinaci, pollo positano. Their martinis are amazing and so were their desserts- Affogato, tirmaisu and apple crostata. A big shout out to the owner Billy for going above and beyond and handling a delicate situation. I know I will be back for some yummy italian food .“
“Discovered this gem last night. Wonderful Italian restaurant in a residential area not too far from Midway Airport. Great food, great service, great atmosphere. We parked in the lot and were seated right away. Wait staff were friendly and accommodating with good recommendations. I would love to go back.“
“My family has been coming to Francesca’s on 95th for years for gatherings and special occasions. All of the food is delicious; I particularly enjoy the vodka pasta with sausage (the paccheri alla vodka e salsiccia). They also have awesome appetizers and a variety of drink options. The atmosphere is great, and it works well for lunches or dinners.“
“Rustico's new space on Oak Park Ave. (in the old Oak Park Brewery) is incredible in terms of its aesthetics. Very open, high, exposed bow-tie roof trusses, reclaimed wood plank ceiling, a really cool floor (tinted concrete?), and exposed brick walls. Totally cool vibe indeed. Myself, my wife, and two 21 year old kids dined there 1.5 weeks ago and it was awesome. Upon arriving, we were seated immediately. All of the staff that helped us were great: fun, personable, and attentive. We ordered the seafood Paella, Carbonara, Fruitti Di Mare, and Braised Short Ribs. All seafood in the Paella and Fruitti Di Mare was cooked to perfection-nothing was the least bit rubbery and everything was quite savory. The Carbonara was so tasty and incredibly decadent (which, when ordering Carbonara, you almost expect!). The Braised short ribs that my son ordered were so good (based on his review), but unfortunately, decorum prohibits printing the words he used to describe his love of the dish herein. When the bill arrived, there was absolutely no sticker shock and in fact, my wife and I felt that the entrees were very reasonably priced (especially given their generous portions). I don't think that many diners leave this place hungry. Personally, I love Rustico as the food is awesome but the restaurant is anything but pretentious. We will most def be back soon! Jimmah!“
“Tried this spot out and it was really good! Staff was friendly and welcoming. Inside was clean and neat, and TV was running with a sports channel on. The menu has a lot of good Halal pizza options with various sizings. Tired the taco and bbq chicken pizza and was really tasty from here. Check them out!“
“enjoyed a wonderful dinner last night, started off with the mezza platter which i highly recommend followed by the most tender octopus ive ever had then thoroughly enjoyed the scallops which were exquisite and also ordered the chicken thighs with a unique taste of its own; i was visiting from out of town but its worth the drive and i highly recommend a visit“
“Truly cannot say enough great things about Lucca & their staff. We love popping in for dinner, so much so, we chose to host my sister’s wedding shower here last weekend. From the initial planning with Sonia to the day of, we were blown away by the food, service and care we received. There is very little needed in terms of decoration [the space is beautiful as-is] and Sonia and her team did a wonderful job keeping everything running smoothly and on time. We even ended up needing to push our first course back by at least 15 minutes and they still didn’t skip a beat. Nothing felt rushed, behind schedule or off beat in any way. The entire staff was very gracious & accommodating.Did I mention the food? Everyone is still talking about it!10/10 recommend for any event. Quality, care, professionalism and service all remain top notch!Kid-friendliness: We had children at our event who enjoyed everything just as much as we did.“
“5 stars for HECTOR in Western Springs!!!Hands down this was the absolute best dining experience I’ve ever had! While the food was delicious and the overall ambiance and decor of the restaurant was cozy, it was our server that made this dining experience over the top, great! HECTOR, you are a gem, a diamond! You have an absolutely charming personality and made my mother in law’s birthday dinner an experience to remember! From your spot on suggestions, to your lovely rendition of “Happy Birthday”, to the funny banter, our whole family left talking about how wonderful you were! We will be back and we will be sure to come when you are serving! Thank you Hector!!!“
“Love coming here. Great owner, great employees. Always friendly and helpful. Amazing deli too got great products at a good price. I get a sub here almost every week now and have never been disappointed! Try the meatballs they are fantastic!“
“Aldolpho was our server and he did a great job. He was pleasant and accommodating. We had the chicken sausage and hot peppers pan pizza it was good. The BBQ wings were cooked to perfection. The staff sang happy birthday ? and was extremely enthusiastic. We had really good timeKid-friendliness: Extremely kid friendly take the whole family and enjoy some quality pizza and above average cocktails“
“This was my first visit to Victory and definitely not my last! Food and cocktails were delicious and our server, Orlando, was the NICEST person! Thanks to the manager who took care of me and my bestie. Wonderful ambiance and friendly staff!“
“Went in on 3/17/24, had an overall great experience. Was in and out in around 25-30 mins, even with them being super packed. There was no wait. Our waiter was very nice and the food was amazing. I myself got a ham/cheese club that comes with fries. 100% recommended. Portion is incredible. Pricing is very fair. For two people we paid about $45 (including tip) 5/5.Vegetarian options: They have a good veggie omelette“
“Traveling to Chicago and searched for a highly rated sandwich shop to try. This place did not disappoint. Easily one of the best sandwiches I have ever had. The staff were very welcoming and friendly. Will definitely come back when I’m back in town.“
“I just got off the phone with Migele from the Evergreen Park store and had some issues with my order. I'm severely handicapped and asked for curbside pickup, and also a change to the order. Migele was very accommodating and did a great professional job. And my sister said that the pizza was very good. Thanks again Miguel ?“
“Capri Express Lemont is not just for take out; don’t be fooled by name; it’s the most atmospheric quaint little Italian restaurant west of Sicily. NOTE : don’t be fooled by the phony knock-off Capri Restaurant in Lemont across from the Jewel. This is the real Capri family owned and operated by Andrea Vitello Riviello the youngest son of the infamous family of Capri restaurants located throughout the south side of Chicago. This man used to bus tables at the original Capri in Berwyn back in the 1990’s. A true restauranteur. Over the last 40 years I’ve been frequenting the Riviello restaurants in Berwyn, Burr Ridge, Palos, Willow Springs, and Plainfield and I can tell you that Andrea is the best (il tutti buono). Don’t miss out for a truly intimate traditional Italian experience.“
“One of my favorite restaurants in the South Suburbs for excellent Italian food. Always consistent and delicious with plenty of choices for everyone on the menu. The specials always peak my interest and Toni, my favorite server describes them perfectly! Her description of the wines always has me trying out something perfect for my meal. I had read a previous bad review due to a television with Fox news on the TV! I do not go there for the television and LOVE the atmosphere, EXCELLENT food and great service! Love this place and I will keep going back..“
“An excellent restaurant for comfy Italian food (with some neighborhood fares, such as burgers and sliders). Menu is stacked mostly with approachable and familiar items, and service is friendly and attentive. It is not cheap, but appropriate for the quality of food and service.“
“JOSE was our Waiter last night his service was impeccable! Smiles, jokes, makes you laugh, he waited on our party of 8 for 2 Birthdays, my Son and Mom, our party had various meals and everyone enjoyed! Jose always came back asking if we needed anything else, always made sure we had enough refills on drinks and making sure food was great. The restaurant is beautiful. Jose mentioned a dessert that crossed my curiosity. It was a Basil Blueberry Cheesecake. Now you would think spicy, not at all, it was delicious when you incorporate that savory and sweet flavors it was truly amazing! When I forgot the cakes, Jose had a plan B and made the Birthdays just as special. Thank you for making our 1st a Great Time! Will Definitely be coming back! The only thing that was a little difficult was finding a place to park, but other than that we asked after getting in and they do have a garage you can get your ticket stamped. Call ahead for parking.Hoping in the future that your restaurant might consider Valet Parking.“
“A classic date night spot. Great drinks but even better food. The gnocci is phenomenal and always outstanding pizza options. The upstairs area is beautiful as well! Love it in the summer because they open the windows up and get to enjoy the outside.“
“J.L. was an absolute pleasure, very attentive and accommodating, and made everything right. She is literally one of the best servers I've ever had. I ordered chicken with my meal and didn't get it and the chef personally brought me an entire new meal even after saying that wasn't necessary. Great experience, wonderful service, very tasty food as always!“
“Not only is their pizza delicious and on point but it is the best pizza in Clearing that actually cares about the neighborhood! I will always support them. You don’t find genuine owners that give back to their neighborhood! They just showed me an act of kindness that will forever keep my loyalty to them. Happy 4 years!!!“
“I enjoyed Vicolo Trattoria, the service was good, the ambiance was your basic Italian restaurant. They have a bar seating area and more tables in the back. They also have a large patio for seating outside in the summer that I can't wait to come back for. The food was great overall: we had the grilled calamari to start. It was just okay for me - I have had more flavorful grilled calamari before, but others may think the grilled calamari is great so it's really just personally preference. Entree: we had the lobster ravioli which was really tasty served in red sauce. Also tried the wrapped beef that my husband really liked. He asked for medium but it was probably prepared medium well - there wasn't much pink in it. Drinks: I am a margarita fan - tried the spicy pineapple margarita and it did not disappoint. It didn't taste too sweet and had the right amount of spice. Also tried the Mandarin dreamsicle - on the sweeter side and filling.“
“I love this place! They do happy hour on Fridays from 3-7 and drinks are half off. The atmosphere and music is great and there's no drama, all adults. The star of the show is the pizza though, omg it's so good.Parking: On Fridays the parking will be very difficult after 4 due to happy hour“
“Stumbled onto this place on accident before tonight's Hinsdale C football game. Atmosphere was great. Pasta dishes were outstanding. Finally, for a downtown Hinsdale restaurant, the prices were really reasonable. Would drive from Naperville again for this dining experience.“
“Great experience. Try to get in another place down the street and it was packed and didn’t take reservations. Decided to call and the manager answered and was able to accommodate five of us in front of a TV at a table to watch March madness . I’m not sure if it was recently renovated, but it was very clean and well kept. The food is wonderful. We had some deep dish and some thin crust. It was so authentic & so delicious!“
“LoveLove love it!Whole family enjoy it.Grandma like it! OkSo.We love the original taste!I fully recommend this place.Service is great! The food came out just in time for all to enjoy.Dietary restrictions: Ask the Chef.Kid-friendliness: Got chair's.“
“All I had was a panzerotti with pepperoni. The crust is very good and not baked too crunchy like others I've had. The sauce was good, not bland but not spicy and just a small touch of sweetness. I ordered it for takeout and cost about $13.My only gripe is I wish there was more sauce and cheese though. There's 30 min parking in front; not sure about the back. I'll definitely be back.“
“I'm going 4.5 but rounding up.The young lady who took care of us was very friendly; in fact, every staff member we spoke to was great and attentive. We were sat immediately and our food and drinks were brought out quickly.A few of my fellow NY transplants on here have said that this isn't NY pizza apart from the size of the slice, and they're right to an extent. No, this is not the kind of pizza you're going to get at an old family run Brooklyn pizzeria. I ordered the cheese pie and there seemed to be another type of cheese blended in with the mozzarella (perhaps for more flavor?), and the sauce tasted closer to a vodka style sauce than a rich tomato sauce. This is something you'd likely find in the now trendy Williamsburg or Dumbo area of Brooklyn. The kind of places that do a more gourmet style. Now, is that a bad thing? No, not really. I didn't dislike it, but it didn't really remind me of the slice I get back home, which was what I was expecting.I'd come back here, but I'd likely try one of their other specialty pizzas rather than the cheese pie. Those seem to be their more strong points.“
“Food was hot and delicious and arrived on time. Order was correct. Delivery driver followed instructions.Vegetarian options: You can get pizza with or without vegetable toppings, fries, fried zucchini, garlic bread, salad, mozzarella sticks, spaghetti“
“Really good, cheap. Burgers used to be really good. Last couple of times I ordered the double burger the meat was really dry. I’m not sure what’s going on with that but the Italian beef and the fries are really good for a great price. ?“
“What A Hidden JEM In Hinsdale, The Pies are utterly DEEELICOUS.. The service is amazing as well, and the owner Carmela is so sweet .. please support them with their authentic pizza's.. the cool thing about this place is you can take and bake these pizza's at home. they are fresh and so much better than any of these grocery store junk piesVegetarian options: they have vegan and gluten free options“
“I've worked at this gem of a restaurant several times in the past promoting Grey Goose but this was my first time dining here. Nicholas our server was excellent. He was attentive, knowledgeable, friendly and on point! I ordered the Abruzzese based on his recommendation and it was phenomenal. The atmosphere is warm and inviting as well as the ambience. Hana the bartender was amazing! I would definitely recommend Roberto's and will definitely be dining here again.“
“One of us had an outstanding Manhattan and the other prosecco to start. Always enjoy the warm crusty bread that's a prelude. We split a Seafood Linguini which was excellent . Since it was Oak Park Restaurant Week we got a free dessert. We had warm apple tart with vanilla gelato which was also very fine.“
“Ordered the pasta special on Monday night, mostaccoli with meatballs - what a delight! Soda, salad and bread included - Good portions, Great value. Liz served us and was a delight! Wonderful start to the new week - can't wait to come back!“
“The pizza is and has always been pretty good. The prices have gotten a bit out of control. 2 pizzas, 1 order of garlic bread, and some onion rings and one other side, cost $68 bucks.Skip the garlic bread. It was lackluster with very little butter with almost no garlic taste cold, and the bread was tough. This is not really a good comparison because the pizzas are totally different from each other, but you get basically the same meal at Domino's for about 20 bucks. The pizza at Fasanos is better in my opinion but, not almost $50 better“
