“I went to this place Henry Tacos and the lady apparently the owner of the place always has a long face, the boy who serves is more or less friendly but the one who is super friendly is the girl who has hair like a chinito, she brought me the food to the table with a smile and told me bon appetit and made me feel at home just because of her I would return to the place to eat“
“The best birria I have ever eaten in my entire life. I've just been there for the first time and it's simply incredible. From the first place, I was involved in something difficult to explain, so many years passing and never having given them a chance or knowing the goodness of their food.“
“Lucidos has THE BEST Al pastor in the entire city of Chicago . I've been to a few dozen taco places in Chicago and this is the best of the best Al pastor. On el trompo is a good sign that they'll be delicious. On top of the spit it a whole pineapple which tastes so much better a little bit charred and not too sweet - unlike using canned pineapples as some restaurants do. The service is very friendly and it's a casual ambiance. I will absolutely be back. Love this place.“
“I am an avid eater!!, yes and I have been comparing this place and it’s simply great. The place is clean, food is very good and authentic and most of the family works. Only concern is that the place is small and it gets crowded on weekends.“
“This place is fantastic for dining out! I highly recommend it. I recently took my family here, and the food was absolutely amazing! The staff were incredibly welcoming, and the environment was top-notch. The restaurant's interior was beautifully decorated—it felt like I was transported to Mexico! There are two locations in Chicago, so be sure to visit the one on 55th street if you want to dine in; the 18th street location is for takeout only. This was my first visit, and I'm already looking forward to returning! Just a heads up, both locations offer street parking, so plan accordingly, especially on weekends.“
“Nice little neighborhood place. The hours are odd so you have to check if they are open. I think they close mon-wed. I found this place looking for queso birria tacos. For $15 you get 4 decent sized tacos with the consommé. Great meaty tacos, I'm a big guy and I usually could knock out 8-10 tacos. I could only eat 6 here. The guacamole was big enough for me and my buddy. They have a juice bar inside and we ordered off of the server's recommendation. She recommended a pineapple drink and it was solid. We ended up getting a second order of drinks for the road. They don't have parking but you should be able to find something across the street. Place is clean and the cook wore gloves. I appreciate when a place is clean and people are wearing gloves. The waitress/server was very helpful and had great recommendations. She was easy to talk to since I don't speak Spanish. There was a bunch of online orders and takeout which in my opinion is good. That means there's no old food, they sell it all and buy fresh. Bathrooms were clean. I noticed the table next to me ordered a latte and seen they had an espresso machine. I haven't tried the coffee so I can't talk about the quality. Just that they have an espresso machine. I like this place a lot. Very friendly staff, great food and great amount of food for the price. Looking forward to my next visit. Thank you.“
“Casual atmosphere in remodeled dining room gives eat-in or take-out options. Specialty cocktails, large television screens and appetizer selection are a nice touch for sports viewing. The servers are friendly and food comes out quickly. Menu includes a variety of popular Mexican foodKid-friendliness: Very family friendly with selections for all ages“
“Tried their food at a fest last summer and loved it, so I wanted to make a visit here. The food didn't disappoint. Loved the tacos and ramen con birria (Levanton). I appreciated that you can wait comfortably in your car and they call you when your order is ready.“
“New location and best tacos.. service is great, the waitress comes often to check on you. The carne asada has great flavor. Try the place you will not be disappointed. Every chance I am in the south side I will be going to this place.. My sister also orders the Alpastor and loves them.“
“Rossy and her team are absolutely amazing! My husband and I knew we wanted to do great and delicious mexican food for our wedding and we were struggling to find someone who could do that in a large venue setting, and was willing to travel to Janesville, Wisconsin. I found Rossy through tons of research online and so happy I did! She is so incredibly kind and we enjoyed taking the drive to Chicago where she cooked right in front of us a variety of options to try for our wedding.I know that my husband and I probably over communicated often in the 9 months leading up to the wedding with tons of questions and making sure all would go right. She was so patient and kind, communicated with us as we needed, and made sure we were confident with the day of.The day of was amazing! The set up of the food was great for a buffet for 220 people! It was delicious and was a HUGE talk even after the wedding from family and friends. She had plenty of food that people were able to go up for seconds if they wanted to! :)Her team was so friendly and fast. We are so thankful for her and her team to make the trip out to Janesville and for all her support. We recommend her 10 out of 10! Thank you!“
“On November 17, 2023 I stopped at this Mexican restaurant and gave them a try with little to know chance right before my hair appointment and when I tell you one of the best Mexican restaurants I’ve been to in a very long time the food was freshly prepared the restaurant was clean and the customer service was A1 any time I’m in Chicago on the southwest side this would be a restaurant I would have to go to so for anyone reading this go here“
“Really good, cheap. Burgers used to be really good. Last couple of times I ordered the double burger the meat was really dry. I’m not sure what’s going on with that but the Italian beef and the fries are really good for a great price. ?“
“When I first moved out here from the city, I was so sad that I couldn’t find good Lengua tacos and finally we got some good lengua tacos out here!!My husband is very picky with his asada and he devoured his burrito. The texture presentation, not messy or sloppy just a perfect well cooked burrito. Tacos El Diablo is our new taco spot for sure!“
“Hidden gem! Tacos are full of incidents and full of flavor. Al pastor are side by side with the Al pastor from atotonilco. Asada tacos are delicious as well. Only thing I wish they would do is not chop up the asada into so small pieces. Other than that, visit this place and enjoy the great tacos! I wish I could give half stars because it definitely deserves 4 1/2 stars out of 5!“
“We went tonight for dinner and were shocked! As regular customers we were surprised by the UNDER NEW MANAGEMENT sign. We were also told NO ALCOHOL.Jose you and your family will be missed. We are saddened that we were unable to say ..you will be missed and your in our thoughts and prayers. We hope to see you again soon!Mike & Louise , your friends at the bar!“
“I was a bit skeptical at the beginning as I got there in the middle of the afternoon. Once the tacos came and I took a bite I was hooked.Yes the tacos are $5 but they are LOADED. I had the chicken Al Pastor and the steak. Both insanely good. The staff is nice and the vibe is chill. If you are in Oak Park and have a taco craving head there. You won’t be disappointed.“
“This is a Chicago style restaurant. You go in you order at the counter and then wait for your number to be called to pick up your food. They have a very large menu with a little something for everyone. The prices are fair and the food is tasty. They offer bottled beers as well as some Mexican drinks. There is usually some sort of sport game playing on the large TV. They also have a separate gambling room. I have been here numerous times and try something different to eat each time. Overall, it's a nice place to stop and grab a quick bite to eat. The atmosphere is just a place to eat with customers ranging from people of all backgrounds. If you are in the area and need a quick bite this is a good place to go eat.“
“I really enjoyed the tacos from here, they were $4 ea - if you want the lunch special with rice and beans it's $15 for that and 3 tacos. Both the carne asada and the al pastor were super flavorful - I think I preferred the Al pastor slightly. The green salsa had a kick to it and was great on the tacos.@main_guy_eats“
“The carne asada burrito satisfied that craving I had. I usually get the tacos but I might be sold on the burrito. I liked the filling and it had excellent flavor.Everyone was friendly and able to joke around while being professional and accommodating. The service was top notch during the busy dinner rush. This is probably my favorite place in the area to grab a quick taco or burrito.“
“The service was very fast. We orders out this Tuesday. The food came out really quickly and everything was hot when we arrived home. We had birria ramen, steak tacos, fries, and tamales. The tamales were fresh and good. Nice amount of filling in the inside. Barely got any pictures because I ate very quickly ?.“
“Good quality pub fare. Warm and family friendly with a nice bar. Service can be a little rough, but it's friendly and they've trying. Great rooftop when the weather's nice.Kid-friendliness: Always plenty of families with children“
“i have not yet made it into the city to try the restaurant but i am blessed to visit their food truck when it comes to the milk pail- el gran paseo on rt 25 in elgin on the weekends. the birria is amazingly flavorful and moist and the pulque is soooooo delicious too!!! could not recommend them more highly! so so so grateful they bring their delectable treats out to the suburbs!!!! thank you los mixiotes!“
“These guys are the best, got me addicted. They're humble, and consistent. A great selection of fillings. Be sure to keep count of what you got, they're not trying to get one over you. An honest spot, with the best habanero salsa I've ever had. Tripa dorada, and their campechano de suadero y chorizo are my absolute faves. Eat at/in your car, not over the condiments.Parking: The lot they stay is where you eat and parkWheelchair accessibility: There's no restroom as this is a taco truck. They're friendly enough. Bear in mind, it's a taco truck.“
“Ino's is amazing! They offer a wide varity of Mexican food and everything I have tried is delicious. Having a dedicated Gluten Free facility is also wonderful for someone with Celiac disease. We have also ordered catering from Ino's and they we delightful to work with and provided very generous portions.“
“We ordered a taco bar for 5 de Mayo this year and it was amazing. Scottie handled everything for us and made the delivery easy. Our entire office was impressed and have already requested it for our next party. I highly recommend their catering services.“
“They said that they don't put cheese or sour cream or anything like that on the tacos. I normally make those things mandatory on mine. But the flavor on the skirt steak made it to where I didn't NEED anything else. Would definitely come back if I lived in the area.“
“This is another stand of El Becerrito (I see another reviewed on Yelp in Uptown). I think I've noticed them driving by before, but more recently this past Friday after the bitter cold two days, I was reminded that I should make a stop. I think the stand is here primarily Mon-Fri and they start in the mornings I believe, early enough for breakfast. Street was clear enough this morning that even if you were driving, it should be easy enough to park and pickup. Tacos are $2.50 each and come with onions and cilantro if you choose, and your choice of red or green salsa. A lime is thrown in on the side and you could eat there fresh or get it to go. They put it on a styrofoam plate for me to go with foil - next time I'll just have them foil it. Great option for a quick pickup on a street full of tacos (you can get cabeza at some of the other local taquerias).“
“I ordered the j*** rice with salmon and j*** chicken tacos. My salmon had 2 bones in it. 1 of which I swallowed and had to gag myself to bring it back up. I haven’t eaten my j*** chicken tacos but my bf had regular chicken tacos and he enjoyed.“
“I came to town from Arkansas to visit family, it is Cinco de Mayo so you must have tacos! My brother recommended this location. The food was awesome, the service was fabulous, the staff were friendly. Give it a try, you won't be disappointed.“
“Nice hidden spot with plenty of lighting and comfortable seating. The service was friendly and attentive. You can sit down and they'll bring a menu and food to your table. I had the gringa birria that was really tasty. Lots of flavor even without the included broth which is delicious. Overall a definite place to check out.“
“Food is amazing nice and fresh, staff is even more amazing!!! Food isn’t super expensive. They have tables to eat, gaming. I will be coming here more often.Parking: Lots of room.Kid-friendliness: Kids have a variety of food to choose from“
