“Our first time here, it was last minute and we chose it based on a picture someone posted of a soup. We were pleasantly surprised to come in on a Sunday afternoon and we were provided with a table in one of their private rooms. We chose several options and when we tasted the soup, it was soo delicious. Everything was great. Can't wait to go back. We even got additional stuff to go.Kid-friendliness: The kids were offered a kiddie cocktail and they got a kick out of it.“

“The food here is simply amazing from start to finish in each bite you taste the authentic way. The portions are reasonably great. The atmosphere is even better. The service is Top-tier The picture below is a takeout order with a combination of chicken, fried rice, sweet-and-sour chicken, Mongolian beef and of course, an eggroll. This is a family owned business located right in the heart of Elmwood Park on North Avenue if you have not tried them for or carry out or delivery what are you waiting for because you’re missing out hibachi, which is located in their back dining area separate they offer Specialty drinks to your Vikings this is one of my favorite“

“Amazing food. I eat here whenever I'm in the western suburbs. The soup dumplings are very good and highly recommended. I also recommend the stir fried pancakes which aren't really pancakes at all but a type of noodle. They do taste somewhat like pancakes though.Vegetarian options: There are several vegetarian options including pan fried noodles with veggies and vegetable side dishes.Parking: There is plenty of parking“

“Good food. I usually hit sushi spots, ALL YOU CAN EAT SUSHI. I was kind of iffy about trying a new spot for almost 30, but for the new experience I had to try. Sushi was fresh and delicious. Plenty of flavor. Crab Rangoon is good. Might actually be a new spot for me.“

“If you read any of the reviews for Al's Drive In online, people have a ton of nostalgia for this place. I find nostalgia for a restaurant can play a negative role for those who don't have the association, but that wasn't the case for me who only ate here for the first time today. The Chicago dog and super taco were solid but the combination fried rice was the hero for me. Never thought l'd find this kind of wok hei flavor from a Chicago Red Hots institution in Maywood, IL that would remind me so much of the fried rice I grew up with at my Chinese immigrant family's restaurant in Arizona. Honestly just throw in some bean sprouts and you'd have a 1:1 copy. I may not have the same nostalgia that a lot of the usuals have with Al's, but that familiar taste of home is so present in every bite of this fried rice. I'm immediately transported to teenage me devouring a large combination fried rice at my own family's restaurant after working a full day's 12hr shift in the summer and immediately passing out in my bed when I got home. I wish I had started coming here sooner.“

“Probably the best Chow Fun I’ve had a in a long time. I had some last week and today I had to get some more. So good. Paired this with a mango smoothie. The Chow Fun I requested to be extra spicy with shrimp. Don’t miss this place. The fried rice is amazing as well. It’s as if they grill the rice or something. There’s a little char on it at times that makes it so addictive and delicious. Beware, one visit will not be enough. So darn good.“

“Came for the rave reviews about their dim sum and they didn't disappoint. Food was hot, fresh, tasty, good portions and staff was very attentive. Really have to hand it to the chefs. Although decor is nice, they really should've spent more time or money in hiring quality painters and that includes the restrooms. It would make the place so much nicer for a place that is touting to be a high end cuisine. Been told it's been open for about 4-5 months and will definitely be back for lunch or dinner.“

“Forbidden noodles' primarily culinary focus is Japanese Ramen and stir fry selections. The curry is good and tastes very much like the mild golden ramen brand Japanese curry that I make at home occasionally. The chicken and broccoli added to the standard rice and carrot/potato curry mixture were of good quality. The Tonkotsu had very good pork, and surprisingly, it included broccoli as well. The more common ramen garnishes of onions, baby bock choy, egg, naruto (fish cake), and seaweed were also in this bowl and tasted good. They have a cheese, steak, and jalapeño egg roll that was amazing, and yes, you should try one. Forbidden Noodles is a great addition to downtown La Grange and for this area, this is a good choice for ramen in the area. If you are searching for your favorite bowl of ramen anywhere around chicagoland, feel free to check my reviews of alternate ramen restaurant options.“

I haven't found a Chinese returante in chicago that meets or exceeds my taste buds as they do. 8 years and two issues that were easily corrected after informing them. “one of my favorite pan-asian spots in chicago! the food is always so delicious and fresh, i've gotten it delivered, picked it up, and sat in and every time it's fire. it seems to be family owned, as sometimes there are kids/teens taking my order or serving me, which I love supporting! very attentive and quick to bring the food. if you come, don't miss out on the smoothies. my girlfriend and I will sometimes even come just for the smoothies. they are made with fresh fruit that you see them blend and make right in front of of you. they are so good! “We buy crispy smelt to go here and those are the best! So cruspy even the nect day. Second time we dined in last night. All the food we ordered are authentic chinese and so delicious. We ordered hongkong steak, kung pao chicken- perfectly cooked and the sauce and spiciness is not overpowering.; yeong chow fried rice is yummy too, salt and pepper chicken is not what we expected. We were expecting a chicken but this is chicken strips covered in batter but it turned out really good too. Service is fast and tge owner is akways nice. The place is a typical chinese restaurant with round rables and booth. They just need to remove the table where they put the bakery products, it's just in the way when you walk to the tables.“

“This started as trying to find a back-up for Chinatown. WOW! This place is amazing... we call it "5 Minute" because that is what the lady first told me on the phone, and she wasn't kidding... for lunch, that is. Their Lunch Combos come with an egg roll, a bottle of water, a huge serving of shrimp fried rice, and your large order. I LOVE their Shrimp Kow, it is so flavorful, I'm sure anything China House makes is wonderful. Oh, best yet, you get all this for under $12. This is actually 3 meals for me, so I know you construction guys will have enough to eat here for lunch. Enjoy!“
“Food was great. Ate on location with colleagues first. Pass the taste test. Talked to Yan. She was very friendly and helpful with my catering questions. Ordered catering for 80 people. Delivery was on time. Food received great review. It was more than enough to feed 80. Will cater again in the future.“
“Authentic and really wide range menu items, including tofu jelly/pudding, fresy soy milk, and fried dough. Family business with the family working during the weekend. There are 4 restaurants at the International Mall food court (next to Park to Shop asian grocery store) and this place is by far the busiest. Great value and great food.“

“I'm completely addicted to this place. So far it's been the best Chinese food I've had since moving to Chicago. The sweet and sour chicken is wonderful. Most of the time the chicken balls are nice and crispy. The lo mein is also quite good. My favorite is their general tsos. It's just the right amount of sweet and spicy. The only negative is that they aren't open on Mondays.“
“Large parking lot that is usually empty or plenty of spaces. It’s next door to Park to Shop. There are technically 4 restaurants, you may see 5 but 2 of them are connected. The Serbian restaurant is almost always dead, not a lot of customers. It’s a shame because Serbian food is pretty tasty. On the weekends, they have Taiwanese breakfast at Chinese Cafe. Usually a long line. Good mix of Chinese and Taiwanese food. I would like to see them add more of the popular Taiwanese dishes. Prices are usually cheap to moderate. Good size portions.“

“New favorite Restaurant ?I delivered for Uber when I came across this gem. Staff super sweet, very busy at check out side - I love that for them. The air smells soooo good. I decided to grab my mom and we sat down an hour later. The food didn’t take too long to come out. When we seen the portions, we were shocked. Every single thing we ordered was delicious. Staff gave us extra small plates so Mom and I traded a little of our meats just yummmyyy. Went to the restroom very pretty, updated and clean. They played music videos definitely a vibe. Different kinds of seating in the dinning area. We sat at a booth. We grabbed to go plates, I for sure ate the rest for lunch the next day and will be going again pretty soon.Order:Fried Rice Plate with Green Pepper Steak comes with an egg roll.Side of Crab Rangoon w/sauceFried Rice Plate with Orange Chicken also comes with an egg roll.“

“Overall I give it a 4 but I'm giving the food a 3. I’ve been here five or six other times, but this time was not the best experience. I had basil fried rice with shrimp. The shrimp were delicious, but the rice wasn’t fried at least not to my liking and I could barely taste the basil. As a matter fact, it didn’t even taste like Thai food. My husband had the shrimp Kung Po. Again, I think the rice was a miss. No flavor, no taste the authentic Thai flavors were not there.“

“Back to Chicago after years, discovered this amazing place today! I have been transitioning/moving and had to eat out a lot lately. I don't often write reviews but this is truly the best meal I've had this year. I asked what's good, they said General Tso's chicken. Hands down the best variation of the dish I've ever had. the fried rice was delicious and the portions were enormous, I can put away some food and this delicious freshly made crispy yummyness was probably enough for 2 may be even 3 portions/meals. Oh I also had the best crab Rangoon ever, way too much food but I hadn't eaten all day. Needless to say at $12.96 for all that, I will be trying everything on the menu and probably write another review.Vegetarian options: I requested a vegetarian eggroll which they made fresh for me.“
