“WOW! The main meals at this Mexican restaurant were out of this world good! We stopped by this location on Sunday during Black Friday weekend on our way back home. Even though the location is small and the salsa for the chips had very little flavor.....the service and main meal we ordered were some of the best tasting Mexican dishes we have ever had!”

“This café is very well decorated with the tin theme throughout. It’s cozy and adorable.The barista taking our order was friendly. The one making our drinks seemed put out by us asking for extra espresso shots.We both ordered Horchata lattes with extra espresso shots. The strength of the coffee was good, but the lattes were way too sweet for us. I’m not dinging them for this, as some people may like it that sweet, but we ended up pitching them and hitting a coffee stand down the road.The flavor of both the chocolate chunk and apple cinnamon scones were great, but the texture was more like a soft cookie or a muffin than the crumbly scones we’re used to.”

“The best caldo de Pollo. Burritos were tasty. We didn't realize they came with cheese on top. It was too rich. Steak taco, the meat was seasoned well. However, the meat was rather dry. The tamale was delicious. We will be back, I would say it is worth trying other foods.”

“The restaurant's name is El Navegante now and been there a few times since the new owners took over. Never been disappointed by the food or their service! Honestly, Aurora was serving the last time I went in for some steak fajitas, which were delicious and seasoned perfectly, and she did a really good job making sure I was taken care of!”

“This little shop is a jewel. If you don't look carefully, you would miss it. If you're looking for mazing Mexican baked goods this is the place for you. Not as many groceries or other supplies, but it's advertised as a bakery and it doesn't disappoint!”

“My husband and I drive over from Galesburg(15-20 mins) for the best Mexican you can get. We love this place. Aurora and family always stop to say hi and have a chat with us. The queso I thunk is house made and AMAZING. Tried places in Galesburg and they just don't compete. If you want Mexican, come here. I always get the supremo fajita nachos that come with steak, chicken, and shrimp and almost always need 2 boxes to bring my food home.”

“Nondescript building. Looks more like a dive bar, but it's really more of a barbecue restaurant. I was very surprised about how fabulous the food was! I ordered a smoked Turkey sandwich, and it came with thick, hot slices of freshly smoked Turkey. I tossed the sandwich bread out, and slathered some of the bbq sauce that was on the table on it. Soooo good! (The bbq sauce is sweet and sour, vinegar based, and was fabulous.) The service was quick and the server friendly. We made a pit stop here just off the highway to stop for lunch on a long road trip. Totally worth the detour!”

“Wheeler’s is a great small town cafe. Simple, hardy food with a family atmosphere. Great burgers. Open for breakfast and lunch every day but Sunday. Wednesday is “taco night “ and it’s open until 8. Taco salads are large but you can get a small. Yummy burgers.”

“Located in a historic building that has been recently remodeled. They left all the cool things. Old Tin ceilings with painted borders. Very old back bar... really looks cool. The owner has a tradition of owning successful bars, he learned the business from his Mother Tootie, hence the hame DTL Tooties. The DTL comes from a historic bar in Galesburg. With honoring the past and newly remodel, it's an excellent place to stop by and meet some of the local folks and have a beer or two. I highly recommend it!!”

“We held a celebration of life party here for my cousin. They were great. They had table cloths and a place for drinks. They even put his name and a message on the Marquee. It was very reasonably priced and a very large space. We easily had a 100 people there and it didn't seem crowded. I would definitely go here for another event.”

“We’ve been twice and have had great experiences both times. Classic take-out comfort food. All the regular standards of American Chinese fare, really freshly prepared. Maybe the only place in town to do really yummy things with tofu. Crab Rangoon and vegetable spring rolls are great. Portion sizes are very large. Minimal seating inside, but super clean, polished and organized. Staff are friendly, professional, and helpful. Definitely will be regulars if they maintain their current quality and level of service.Vegetarian options: One of the few places that offers vegetarian protein (tofu) in addition to many vegetable entrees. They seem to be able to accommodate many of their sauce options with their crispy tofu (general tso, sesame, Mongolian are all good).Kid-friendliness: Chicken teriyaki on a stick is a kid pleaser and staples like sweet and sour chicken are accessible for picky eaters.”

“Today while I was through, I think there was a misunderstanding between me and the person working the drive. She told me my total and I handed her cash, while I was waiting for my change I had my hand out the window and I was moving my fingers because I’m always fidgeting and can’t sit still; I think she may have thought I was rushing her because she paused and gave me a weird look before handing me my change. Then someone else handed me my items; I just want her to know I was in no way rushing her and am sorry if it came off that way. Her service was great and I’m sorry if I offended her!”

Plenty of history, plenty of atmosphere and bottom line one of the best authentic pizza around!Deb took my order and made sure she took down the details, and made my visit extra personal! She chatted with my 12yr old and even explained the games they have at the restaurant.The 2 pizza's we ordered were equally tasty! We ordered a pepperoni and a combination pizza, both were loaded with plenty of ingredients! The combination had a layer of sausage that added that extra flavor that Italian Village pizza is known for!Overall- fantastic”

“This is the best McDonald's I have ever been too and I'm not from the area. The service was friendly and fast. The food, though, is what makes this McDonald's special. EVERYTHING came out fresh and delicious! The burgers were juicy and the fries were crispy perfection. The McChicken was the best McChicken I have ever had in my life. Whether you are traveling like we were or if you are from the area I'd recommend driving to this McDonald's! I know where I'm stopping for lunch every time I pass through this area. And it's THIS McDonald's!”
