“Stopped in to try their espresso in a latte and I was very pleased. They have excellent espresso, the atmosphere was very calming and quiet. With the simplistic decor and spacious interior I felt very comfortable, it was not busy being a Sunday morning but with the open area I wouldn’t feel crowded on a busy day.”

“Stopped here for lunch headed through the area and enjoyed a crispy Chicken Sandwich with everything on it and a single knuckle cheeseburger with everything. Both were great, especially high kudos for the breaded chicken. It was very tender and tasty. One of the best breadings we've ever had. It was a bit odd only 2 of us and we put our names on our order sheets and when we turn them in the server had to ask which of us got the burger. I guess I would have thought she would Have known from the sheets with our names on them or remembered since she took the order for the 2 of us. There's a game room and it's very well decorated to theme inside the restaurant. We would definitely eat here again next time through the area.”

“I just love this place, Everything is so flavorful and not greasy. People usually think of this kind of food as being a more heavy feeling after eating but they do it without that. I have been tired of fast food but realized too late tonight that I forgot to get the rest of what I needed to make dinner so this was the perfect solution and it was just as good and fresh feeling as the first time we ordered from here. Once you try them, nothing else comes close in comparison. The staff here is really friendly and genuine as well!”

“Excellent dishes! We had crab rangoon and the eggrolls to start. I had the sweet green curry with chicken as my main. My better half had their tofu. Both loaded with super fresh ingredients, incredible levels of flavor, both dishes served piping hot! Quick delivery of our meals, great service, and menu options. Cannot wait to return! “I am honestly one of “those people” who had to google how to make a google review just so I could give a “5 Star” review to this quaint restaurant in Sycamore, IL. We stayed at the Best Western and first chose the restaurant, out of convenience, because it is right next door. Then when we opened the door, to Maria’s, it was no longer about convenience! From the music of Zachary to the welcome of our server Nicole, we were confident that the food would be amazing…and it was! It’s a simple menu that offers Italian deliciousness beyond simplicity! The favorite so far is the Fettuccine Alfredo with Shrimp. We are now planning a second dinner, to sample the rest of the menu, that will include dessert!”

“We tried Lothsons last night for the first time on a neighbors recommendation and theyve ruined any other chicken places for us! lol We learned you call in right between 4-5pm with your order, (I walked in about 6:45pm last night because I didnt know how it worked - sorry Janet!) and this lady cooks everything fresh to order so it takes approximately 45 minutes for the freshest juciest homecooked fried chicken you've ever put in your mouth! My husband normally will not eat cole slaw - he devoured and loved hers! Old fashioned hand cut fries & the honey butter she provides with her pull apart biscuits is the final perfect touch. And affordable - so affordable, but please tip her because she deserves every.penny. for her labor and service. We sincerely hope she stays around for awhile and realizes her hard work is so appreciated. We have lived in the area 9 years and feel an injustice to have never known or tried this treasure before now. The experience is like going to a family fry and having generations of an old family recipe provided to you - something you cannot find much anywhere anymore. We wont go anywhere else and we look forward to trying her perch next. She is only open 4-7:30 which is a slight injustice BUT also not - because this ensures the taste - oil is the freshest oil and you can taste it which makes ALL the difference compared to others where it can taste burnt or 10+ hours old. Well done Lothsons - someone told me best friend chicken in the county - NO ITS THE BEST FRIED CHICKEN IN IL.”

“Great pizza and very unique I must admit but overpriced let alone for Dekalb. Two veggie toppings X-large and $40 is pretty pricey especially for not being in a major city. It's good though just need to be a bit more practical pricing wise. But as owner replied life is expensive so support local they are worth it! Ambience is warm and cozy too and very family friendly.”

“This place was amazing! I wasn't expecting much, but I was definitely pleasantly surprised. The fries were great, and the fried potato salad was actually insane. I'm not big on potato salad, but this is certainly an exception. The burger was also amazing. Filled me up halfway through but I still managed to finish the whole thing because it was so good ? The whole atmosphere of the place was really great too. Felt very cozy and classy. I'm definitely going to have to come to this place more in the future.”

“Love the ice cream and variety of flavors. Especially the more exotic like Sour Sop and Ube! The mango is also TOP NOTCH. Sometimes service can be a bit slow, especially for paying while holding your ice cream. No frills decor and the tables inside are not very comfortable or conducive for a group. I appreciate the outdoor seating. Could even use more of that. Plenty of parking!”
