“We typically visit the Mokena or Frankfort locations, and this one was rather consistent in terms of service and product quality. Two of the outdoor tables are covered with the plastic domes at this time, and you can reserve them for your group on their website. The charge is around $100 and includes either a sundae or hot cocoa bar with all the fixings plus cookies. I didn’t notice St. Patrick’s Day because they wereoccupied, but I’m sure it would make for a fun family or friend afternoon.“
“I tried this place for the first time yesterday. I feel like I made a mistake by not going earlier, because I think some of the better flavors probably sell out quicker. The girl working the counter was super friendly, and made great suggestions. My favorite donut that I tried was probably the cherry flavored one. The last time I had something similar was from Thornton's gas station and I really liked it. I was happy to find it again. The caramel apple was also delicious, it reminded me of an apple pie filing inside. It was not overly sweet either. The honey dip was pretty good. It's very similar to a plain, old-fashioned, just slightly different. I have not tried the sprinkled one yet, but I'm sure it's also good. The donut shop is nice, I believe they are open 24 hours and they are very reasonable. Four donuts only cost me $6.15. Great prices!!“
“I am from out of town and thought I would stop in for lunch. Honestly I have to say the Korean short ribs were the best that I have ever had. “Mom of the Year here because my 10-year-old said he had the best birthday ever here. I called for info, the response was prompt and helpful. I wasn't sure how many bays to reserve and how much food to order for 25 boys but Kathy and Dominic were very helpful and didn't try to oversell. The host and bar staff were amazing. Sodas were refilled promptly and pizzas, nugs and fries came out on time and hot. The staff was beyond gracious. We are coming back over break so we can play and eat some more and will definitely keep in mind for future parties!“
“Merichka's is one of those places locals have a special place in their heart for; they grew up with it and love it. The atmosphere is 50's kitch. There are several dining rooms and a circa 1940s bar. Other patrons heard we were new to the restaurant and told us we had to get the Poorboy "...it's what Merichka's is known for." It turns out their Poorboy Steak is ground beef plank (a long rectangular patty) on garlic bread served with pickles and lettuce for $14. We also got their Icelandic Cod sandwich (we chose baked over fried) for $15. We also had the Combo Appetizer- onion ring and fried mushrooms for $13. Both sandwiches are available on a plate (choice of potato or steamed vegetables and a salad) for $23 and $26, respectively. That is $10 for a vegetable and salad, if found that high. Dinners are also available for an additional $4 to the plate price (dinners add a relish tray). I decided to get the sandwich a la carte, so maybe it's a lot of food. The Icelandic Cod was prepared perfectly. Fish can be rubbery if overcooked, but this was tender and delicate. I was disappointed the bun was straight out of the bag, not toasted or grilled. The Poorboy was an unseasoned ground beef on garlic bread; it is definitely a skip for me next time. Their menu is extensive with chicken sandwiches, hamburgers, ribeye steak sandwich, and pork chop sandwich. Full meals include lobster, salmon, and steaks.Parking: There has to be over 75 parking spaces on the adjacent and neighboring lots.Kid-friendliness: There is a kids menu with grilled cheese, chicken tenders, cheese burger, etc... it includes french fries and a beverage.Wheelchair accessibility: There are lots of stairs as soon as you walk in and stairs between rooms. I saw a ramp on the other end of the restaurant. You would go through the bar to get to a hostess stand (there are literally 3) and then be limited to the green room. There are stairs to the red rooms, and the bar only has high barstool tables.“
“My wife and I visited Pepper Mill on February 1, 2024. Tye restaurant was clean and taken care of. We were immediately acknowledged after entering and seated within a couple minutes. I ordered the Turkey dinner which was recommended by friends. A couple and salad accompanied the meal and it was on special that evening. The soup I selected was cream of chicken rice. Tye flavor was good but I felt it needed to be thinned out. Salad was fresh and enjoyable. The Turkey dinner was thinly sliced from fresh Turkey breast. The meat was tasty and not dry. It was layered over stuffing that was lightly seasoned. I chose mashed potato's and steamed broccoli. The potatoes tasted like they were either from a box or a mix of boxed and fresh. The broccoli was fresh and cooked nice. The Turkey gravy was layered over the potato's and the Turkey. It was flavorful and seasoned nicely. My wife chose the Meatloaf and said it was good also. We both felt the price was reasonable and we would return. Our server was excellent and added to the experience.“

However, it's lacking a real ambiance for dinner service. Even just adding some window treatments or candles would add a lot of this space. Would I go here again? In a heart beat. Fiancée and I had a Crown/Coke & an Amaretto Stone Sour that were beautifully made by Crystal. “I have been a customer for 6 years now. We came here when it was originally White Street Cafe. The food has been consistently delicious. The younger kids that bring out your food are always kind and attentive. After multiple visits though, I have to be frank that the women taking orders isn’t the most friendly or welcoming. Her attitude gives off the impression that you’re bothering her when placing your order. We will continue to come here because of the food.“
“My first time here. Food was 10/10 perfect. Cooked just right, very fresh and tasty. The environment and atmosphere were superb, hospitality, warm, and welcoming. The fish tank was well maintained and I enjoyed watching all the fish swim around. The portions were huge and everything was very high quality, especially the toast I noticed. I will certainly be back again as rhetorical lunch and dinner menu (also breakfast) are vast. The pricing is higher, but it’s well worth it and fine since the overall experience is what I’ve delved for. Wish I did receive more salsa for my skillet though. So happy I came here!! “Three of us went Saturday 2/17/2024 at 5pm and was seated immediately with no wait. When we left there at 6pm looked to be a full waiting area as well as a few outside so I'm glad we arrived when we did. This was our first time here as I had a taste for a lobster roll and after looking in a 20 mile radius this was the place I chose and it was a great sandwich full of flavor and the little cup of melted butter to dip it in was the first for me and I'm glad I tried it because it gave it that wow factor. Bloody Mary was good also and most of all the service was top notch from our soft spoken waitress with glasses and blue pony tail that made sure our drinks stayed full as well as food was as expected and hand down to the kitchen staff that got the food on the plate with good presentation bursting with flavor. Definitely will be going back again soon. If your looking for a lobster roll with lots to it I would definitely try this place.“
