Food is good. The restaurant isn’t very clean. Christmas decorations are up all year round. The seats are all torn and look terrible.

My order was a take-out. It was very timely prepared. The pizza was terrific! It's always a favorite.

Not sure how they even stay in business, hours change by the day. I can't believe a pizza place would close at 7:00 pm on a Friday night, or even at 8:00. By the time most people get home from work and decide what they want to do on a Friday night it is almost 7:00. Don't expect to eat here. We love the pizza and salads when we can get in before they close. Might as well just go ahead and close permanently.

We live 200 miles north of Mackie's and have eaten there every time we're in the area. Last time was 2 years ago. We talked with the owner, who took our order, and had a beer while waiting for our to go pizza. It was EXCELLENT!! Stopped there a week ago expecting the same. Had to wait to even be acknowledged. Ordered 14" sausage, mushroom xtra cheese. Almost 19 bucks. No beer available while waiting. Took our pizza back to motel room. Should have checked it out first. NO mushrooms, No xtra cheese. So much grease on top we literally poured it off onto paper towels. Under cooked and no crispness to the crust. Will never go back. Very disappointing as we know they had a wonderful product.

The cheesesticks were good and our server was pleasant. That's the positive, everything else was pretty bad. We took our granddaughter there as a special treat to have pizza and play games, but, only two games in the game room worked, the others were lit up as though they worked but they just took my money instead. No signs saying out of order, nothing. So that was a big disappointment to her. The hostess was so disinterested that she probably would have been better off just taking a nap than "working". I observed her leading a couple to a table, well actually just walking in front of them and then tossing the menus on the table as she walked by without a word to them. When I went to pay, she was perched on the desk, eating, and seemed annoyed that I interrupted her. The only other person I saw that was halfway working was an older guy that wandered around wiping off tables. Our server was pleasant, but slow, which wasn't totally his fault because he was the only one actually working. The cheesesticks were pretty good, but the pizza was greasy and cracker thin without much meat on it. There was also a handwritten sign as you come in stating that they will close at 6 and they are out of spaghetti and Italian beef today. This used to be a great place to bring the kids and the food and service was always so much better. There used to be enough working games to keep the kids busy until the pizza came, but, not anymore. This was probably our last visit unless they change hands. Seriously, if you don't care enough to put in the effort, why bother staying open? Oh, and yes, as others have mentioned, Styrofoam plates and plastic forks ?‍♀️

This place used to be a great place to come for dinner, but over the past year or so, it's become a shadow of its former self.We went on a Saturday night and we're greeted at the door by a sign stating they were closing at 7pm - no explanation, just that. The large seating area was almost empty when we arrives at 6pm - there was only one other group there, and two small groups that came after us.Our salads came with plastic-ware utensils instead of metal, the plates were Styrofoam picnic items, and they were not serving any alcoholic beverages at all. There appeared to be only one wait-person for the whole dining area, which, given the lack of seated customers, wasn't a problem.I was seated under a speaker playing country music with the volume set to WHERE'S MY HEARING AID, so I had problems hearing anyone at the other end of the table. Luckily, there was a TV with closed captioning on I could read across the dining room. Too bad it was tuned to .That said, the food was excellent as always - the pizza was fresh and hot, and the house salad dressing was good as well. Too bad it was too painful to sit and enjoy it in-house.

Do yourself a favor and try someplace else. We have been twice. About a year between experiences. Roughly the same experience each time. It took around 5-10 mins for anyone to acknowledge we were there. The person seating us seemed put out that we had the audacity to be at the restaurant. After sitting another 10 mins without being waited on we left. Also, everyone was using plastic forks and styrofoam plates. Again, we went last year and had a similar experience. We got pizza on the square and it was the best.

I ordered to go. The older man on the phone was short and rushing me with my order, which I knew what i wanted was being couteous letting him enter it by pausing. When I arrived walked to the counter younger guy blonde hair looked at me and ignored me carried on a conversation with someone walking in behind me catching up with personal stuff. Another young dark haired guy waited on me very sweet. I wouldn't of tipped but he was sweet so I did. I won't be back figure out how to pay this new minimum wage on your own!

Excellent pizza, great overall setup of the restaurant. Not what you would expect of a typical Italian Restaurant and definitely much more than what you would expect from a pizza place. The interior looks like a higher end restaurant. I will definitely come back when we are in the area.

Paper plates and plastic forks. This is the first hint at the quality of pizza being served here. Horrible! The crust is thinner than paper. The boneless chicken wings are just chicken nuggets. This place needs to close.

Mackies has always been one of my favorites. I lived in Harrisburg and it was always a wait because of how amazing it is. We moved to West Frankfort and started going to the one in Marion. The owner isn’t the nicest person. But the other staff is very nice. I am giving it four stars because of them closing at 7pm. Seems a little early to close.

This has always been my families go to place for family gatherings. I called today and was told they were booked. Apparently they close at 6:30 because the owner is trying to sell the place, and they no longer take reservations. I'm am truly disappointed because we have had so many good times there. I could understand closing at 8:00 pm but 6:30 is entirely too early. Most people don't even get off work until 5 pm. What a sure way to kill a business by closing during your busiest time. Sorry to say my family will miss having our get togethers there and you probably missed at least a $ 250 tab not to mention the future business we would have brought to your restaurant. 5 stars for everything but the early closure makes it impossible to eat there in the evening so I have to give this place 1 star overall.

Called in an order. They said it would be 30 minutes. Gave.them 45 minutes and got there just to wait another 30 minutes. It was just 1 pizza and 2 salads. I dont think they even had made my pizza befor i got there. Then the manager said "i dont know what happened. We were real busy. " Very poor service. The food was good but not that good.
