Great little bar next to the motel we stayed at. We were in town for the eclipse and this was our go to in evenings. Food was great, drinks were strong and family owned bar and they were great. Highly recommend eating and drinking here if in town!

After a long day of traveling we stopped at Super City Bar & Grill in Metropolis, Illinois for dinner. Great service, Pizza was thin crust and I rated it 5 stars, the burger was fresh, hand pattied with cheese served with crisp french fries. The service was friendly. Stop in you won't be disappointed.

Bare bones interior, lots of TVs, a few pool tables. Steel chairs are not very comfortable. Food is ok. Good service when we were there.

Found this place while looking for a place to watch the early football games and have a few beers. It's situated out of town near the interstate hotels. Clean and well maintained. Surprising number of families with children, but it was Sunday noon, so maybe that's a common place for locals to eat on weekends. Beer was cold, prices were fair. Really good thin crust pizza; the best that I've had in this area. They have a good menu selection, but it is a bar and grill, not The Cheesecake Factory. Small area with gambling machines separated from the bar and dining area. It was my first time there, and the bartender (Packy?) was friendly and attentive, but not pushy. The other customers were friendly. Not an early morning breakfast bar, it opened at 11am on the day I visited.

Lots of events happening so restaurant was pretty dead on a Saturday night. I ordered appetizers and all were good. Our server was very friendly and attentive!

If you've been driving all day and staying at the Quality Inn Metropolis and need some quick food before bed this place is within walking distance of the hotel. It's basically a sports bar type atmosphere, pretty dark and uninspiring decor, but the wait staff are personable and friendly, and the food is plain and simple and inexpensive.
