“Manager/Head Chef Stacy did an awesome job preparing the food. Very appealing and the Fillet Mignon was very tasty and extremely tender. Hard to beat the grilled chicken, absolutely delicious and tender.

“I don't live in the area, and most of the Long John Silvers that I have went to the past few years have been nothing less than disgusting. Today I went to the MtVernon store and totally amazed. The girl that waited on me was so nice,and very helpful. And the store was so clean...It was awesome. I will definitely be back again when I am down that way. “If you want some real good Mexican food this is the one. Has a real authentic feel as soon as you walk in. Staff are friendly and the food is always great. Some of the other places might have a nicer setting and curb appeal but that's about it. Your going to get authentically good food, might not be authentically Mexican but it's authentically good and a highly recommended local spot. The street corn is phenomenal”

Parking: It is in a small mall type area. Large parking lot but if you have a bigger vehicle it's best to park out farther and walk. Other drivers are terrible at hogging up spaces.”

“Went here for a date night, and didn't take too long to get seated. The soda was really good and perfectly carbonated.
We had fried pickles with sauce, and they were both really good. They also bring out really good, soft and very delicious rolls, with very tasty cinnamon butter... I ended up eating 3 rolls, so I ended up taking home half my food.
He ordered steak with a loaded baked potato and steak fries, and he liked what he got, but he also let me try his steak. I don't really order steak because I can't always chew on it well enough... but his steak was tender and the bite I had was both tasty and tender enough for me to eat.
I got pulled pork and steak fries with cheese. The pork was tender and tasty...even the steak fries had good flavor. I would have preferred cheese sauce, but overall, we had a good experience and our food was delicious! Would come here again!”

“Second time my wife and I have been there the last two weeks. The place is spotless. Both times we were there workers were cleaning when we arrived. The second no customers are there the staff is cleaning thuroughly. The food was really good as well. Having 30 years in the food industry, I can really appreciate how the restaurant is maintained. Unfortunately, you don't see that much anymore.”

I wish that this subway was back in Terre Haute Indiana where I’m from but the subway here in Mount Vernon, Illinois the staff there are the friendliest most courteous Staff I’ve ever met and they always make my sandwiches just right thank you for providing such great members that work there”
