“Our wedding cake turned out absolutely STUNNING and delicious. We received so many compliments on our cake because it was so good. It was definitely the best cake I've ever had. It was so fresh and turned out absolutely beautiful. They made the experience of designing our cake so easy and I trusted them throughout the whole process. “Dalton's makes some of the best gluten free desserts I've ever had. I ask for their lemon bars for every birthday! They are so accommodating to all allergies and intolerances as well. I've tried a lot of their pastries and there hasn't been one I don't love. I got my first real paczki in 14 years there and it was amazing!! “Very good Italian restaurant. The highlight for me was the prices which are extremely reasonable for a higher and Italian place. The atmosphere is real nice. The service was attentive and no complaints. I had the lasagna and chicken, Parmesan, combo plate, and our group of four ordered drinks, appetizers, meals, and dessert. Tiramisu was excellent. Meatballs for appetizer were great as well. I would highly recommend this place. The prices are probably only slightly higher than Olive Garden but this is for sure. A much better place.“

“Our son, Parker has worked at Nekter for almost a year now. He actually loves working there, and that’s all you can ask from your 18-year-old son. Loren and Brandon, the owners, really care about these kids and the same with the quality of food they make fresh every day. Having a son who works at Nekter has also afforded us the opportunity to try virtually everything on the menu. Yes, we are real customers but mostly we just love healthy food that tastes really good. If you’ve ever had a smoothie from a chain place, you’ll instantly know the difference. Our favorite things are their Chia pudding w pumpkin and a Popeyes Açaí are ridiculous. That depends on the night and the server's.“

The weather was nice enough to sit on their patio - just a few sprinkles, but we had an umbrella over the table. Beautiful view of the golf course. Our server (Ally) was excellent and the food was delicious. My husband had the "porterhouse" pork chop - huge and perfectly cooked! I had one of the best petite filets I've had in a long time - so tender and flavorful. They gave us a free dessert for our anniversary - amazing limoncello shortbread cake with blueberry chambord sauce. Wow!“

But I was astonished at the excellent food quality, the delightful presentation and the superior service. I ordered a lunch special, a 7" wild mushroom pizza and a salad. When the salad arrived, my jaw dropped. It was a heaping bowl of salad, with the lettuce nicely chopped up and lots of stuff added in, absolutely scrumptious. It was anything but a 'side' salad. I sampled by wife's tomato soup and found it delightful, just the right amount of spice. and now I'll have trouble in the future trying to decide between the salad or the soup. The mushroom pizza was great ! And the server, Christopher, refilled my coffee cup 3 times before I declined a fourth. I can't remember the last time any server anywhere, kept my coffee cup filled. Deer Park is a drive and now I wish there was a CPK in Crystal Lake because I'd be a regular. 10 star review from me. A Great Value.“

“Being gluten free and dairy free has made life challenging, but not since finding Holcomb Hollow! I've been a loyal customer since finding them at Green Joe's in Schaumburg. I'v also bought them at Pure Juice Cafe in Arlington Heights. With my wacky commute, I've also been able to find them at Brewpoint Coffee in Elmhurst as well as Conscious Cup in Palatine. We love their muffins, cookies, and donuts so so much. They are tasty and never give us a problem with our special dietary restrictions. They also are at the Mundelein Farmer's Market and offer seasonal special sales from their wholesale baking location in Mundelein. I follow them on Instagram where they advertise their latest products or new flavors. I also keep tabs on which businesses stock them on their IG page because it feels like the list keeps growing! IG is where they announce their random seasonal specials too. Devoted fan right here!“
