Really good, classic Korean food with large portions and reasonable prices, located in the northern suburbs of Chicago. Hwang Dae Gham is located in a non-descript strip mall with some closed store fronts, so plenty of parking. My daughter and I were in town and needed to visit in the Northern suburbs, so afterwards decided to have lunch at a place that had meaning for us. Wanted to show my brother what Korean BBQ was all about, but didn't want to make the 45m drive to the place we knew. So I decided to give this place a try! When we walking in, we were immediately greeted with warm smiles and the comforting scent of delicious food. I tried this restaurant because the other Korean restaurant on the same road has gone downhill quality wise. I have been going since. Their price is just $1 or $2 higher than the other one but the food is much better quality and larger portion. You can tell they are very proud of their food. They make their own kimchi. They check on you frequently to make sure you are happy with the food. Highly recommend this restaurant!
