“We have to travel no less than 800 miles get here but this place has a special section of our hearts.My wife's brother worked this location for many years prior to his passing.Whenever we visit Chicago, we make sure to have a meal here to honor him.The service is always fantastic.The food... oh dear God, the food... from the Chicago dog to the Italian beef, everything is worth it.The cake shake is dangerous to your waistline but so good.This was our last trip to the area for a while and it literally hurt a little to leave.Highly recommend to anyone who has never experienced this place.“
“This was our second visit here in less than a few months. It is a gem for downtown Joliet. I would love to see more fine diners like this in the Joliet area. Our waitress was so attentive and nice. I love the music which is just at the right level where you can have a conversation without screaming. “When we came it was a bit busy. Once it slowed down a person who appeared to be the manager came to each empty table with a package of disinfectant wipes and cleaned each empty table and chairs. Even if they looked clean he wiped them anyway.“
“We have dined at this establishment since the change in ownership and all we can say is WOW. We have visited on the weekends and for Taco Tuesday for delicious food. The portions of food and cocktails are generous. However, we enjoy the wonderful service the most! Even when the place is busy, employees greet you with a smile and accommodate you as quickly as possible.“

“I have been to Magpies 2 times and both good. On 1st visit I had the Rueben and chicken soup. Recommend both. The corned beef piled high on toasted marble rye. Delicious. “This is a hidden gym in Romeoville. Great place to have a family night. The pizza is fresh and the flavors are robust! We had a large sausage and pepperoni and a large sausage with lots of vegetables. Everything was amazing on the pizzas and the crust was crispy and flaky. What was surprising is not only do they know how to make pizza but their chicken wings, spaghetti, and Italian beef were also delicious. We were a party of 12 and our server was extremely attentive and took care of our every needs! Great food and we didn't have to break the bank to enjoy a feast for a party of 12. We will be back.“
“Been there a dozen times. They're pretty good with everything but I just had a dispute with one of the meals. The general manager handled the complaint with complete professionalism. Super happy that there's not only a Noodles & company in Lockport, but they also know how to treat a customer with respect when two parties don't see eye to eye on something. (Long story short I believed the chicken to be undercooked, she told me no it's fine but will replace it.)“
“Was there on half price pizza Wednesday night...didn't know it was half price night so I was pleasantly surprised by the price of the pizza...I'll have to check back on a regular night to find out if a bowl of soup($6.99) and a side salad($7.99) are as expensive as they are on half price night. Gf's soup was good. Salad was good but pretty plain...2 cherry tomatoes, little bit of cucumber, spoon full of diced onion(you can keep these things), and 90% ice berg and sprinkle of croutons. Could you use a little creativity.That being said...the pizza was very good! The waitress was great. Little loud on karaoke night...“
“Three of us went Saturday 2/17/2024 at 5pm and was seated immediately with no wait. When we left there at 6pm looked to be a full waiting area as well as a few outside so I'm glad we arrived when we did. This was our first time here as I had a taste for a lobster roll and after looking in a 20 mile radius this was the place I chose and it was a great sandwich full of flavor and the little cup of melted butter to dip it in was the first for me and I'm glad I tried it because it gave it that wow factor. Bloody Mary was good also and most of all the service was top notch from our soft spoken waitress with glasses and blue pony tail that made sure our drinks stayed full as well as food was as expected and hand down to the kitchen staff that got the food on the plate with good presentation bursting with flavor. Definitely will be going back again soon. If your looking for a lobster roll with lots to it I would definitely try this place.“
