Amicis used to be so good years ago. We visited for a birthday celebration and the service was just fine but the taste and quality of food was not. My shrimp was tiny and overcooked with my Alfredo. Our soup came out at room temperature. The servers did bring out hot soup when we let them know.

The food is decent. It may not be the best, but the atmosphere and service were top-class.

The chef needs to learn how to make Chicken Piccata. First of all you don’t serve the whole breast in one piece it should be sliced and flattened. It should also have lemon in it with the capers, no spinach, and it should not be served with mostaccioli the juice that it was In tasted like they poured a whole container of salt in it couldn’t even eat it had to dump it down the drain. And for the price it was awful. Get yourself a new recipe. And how about some butter for the bread?

I was at a memorial party in a separate room. There were 4 long tables, but even with so many people, there was plenty of great food and great service. Servers were so pleasant and efficient.

I'm sad to report that this is a restaurant that has given up. And it's a shame. The ambiance is old school romantic. It's cozy and dark and even has a glowing fireplace. But even the romantic vibe can't make up for the sub par food. It seems they are taking drastic steps to cut corners, and so they are offering up quantity over quality. While my pasta dish was overflowing, it was not good. I have never experienced watery pesto. There should not be water in pesto, and mine seemed like a full glass of water had been poured into my dish. My partner's cream sauce was also so watery it was splashing off his plate. I really wanted to write a good review, but it's clear that the staff here is tired of trying. Maybe Chef Ramsey could come and give them a jump start!

The restaurant was good and crowded. We went there on a Saturday night, which was to be expected that they would be packed. Our waitress was fantastic. I didn't get her name she was great. Even though the place was so busy, she came by us often to make sure we were doing good! I got the spaghetti and meatballs, and my mother-in-law got the eggplant parmesan. All was delicious. We also got dessert tiramisu and cannoli, YUM.Vegetarian options: Eggplant parmesan was very good.

Drove past a million times and always curious. Dined with 11 friends on a weeknight. Restaurant not crowded. As we were waiting for the last few members of our party, service was terrible. The waitress didn't come by to ask for our drink order until everyone was there. Pretty weird. We all ordered dinners and yet no bread baskets until we began eating.Right before we ordered, another waitress was brought and they each took one table side, i.e. only 4-5 people. The red- headed waitress was only slightly better than the young lady with dark hair and Eastern European accent. I had to seek her out for refills. We HAD TO ASK for grated cheese at an Italian restaurant.I ordered the "homemade" gnocchi. I substituted tomato cream sauce for vodka sauce because never in my entire Italian life have I ever had Vodka sauce with onions. Very weird.Minestrone soup so-so. The potato gnocchi were kinda heavy- the antithesis of good gnocchis. AND they were chewy, meaning they were undercooked. Tomato- cream sauce runny.Neither waitress checked on us during meal. Again, had to seek them out for more drinks, etc.The atmosphere was probably once very nice. The strings of warm, white lights were homey along with the fireplace. But other than that, place looked shabby and dusty.A plate of pasta was $20. It included soup or salad.I. Will never, ever return. Too many other restaurants that have way better service and much better food.
