“Quick story, my fiance and I started coming here for dates 7-8 years ago. It's her favorite lasagna ever and she grew up in a traditional Italian family. The quality here is impeccable. We moved a few years ago and we're in town today. We luckily made it in 15 min before they closed and it is just as good at any point of the day. The best and there's no competition.“
“Kendall greeted me at th3 door to acknowledge I came in. I told her I wanted a bone in ham. What were my options. 8 pounds was I interested in? I said maybe seven or eight pounds. She went into the refrigerator more than once to show me the size of the ham and the Turkey breast and I appreciate that. I like to see the shape to see how small or big it is, so I can see if it would feed my family. I appreciate all the hard work. I was amazed on how much knowledge she had of the honey baked ham store, plus how much temperature to put in the oven, and how to serve it. I was like wow, and she gave me a piece of paper. That also has information on how to cook and serve ham and turkey. I also noticed that she was always smiling. She really loves her job, She was friendly and polite. I appreciate all that That definitely would encourage me to come back. This was my first time ever coming and she made it very pleasant. Thank you soon much.“
“While the service behind the counter was not overly chatty, I decided to give it a try. I had a hunger for pierogi's and the new place down the street was closed for the holiday. I ordered 4 pierogis, which only ones available was potato and cheese. Saute-ing was part of the cooking process, which made them oh so much better. I also had a cabbage roll, meat and rice, which was a little bland. I prefer a sharper sauerkraut taste and a little more flavor in the meat. I bought a random bottle of Polish soda, the flavor was sorta like bubble gum. Nice homemade lunch, all for $7.70 and sat in one of the four chairs. It was a fun change from the norm.“
“A busy boutique of imported delicacies and solid pastas. A fantastic meat counter with ready to heat entrees in addition to pastrami, andouille sausage, and prime rib. Diverse beverage section stocked with European beers and wines. Lavish assortment of cheeses and chocolate. Just like a trip to Europe only cheaper.“
“Love this deli so much I happily drive from Oak Lawn to get there. The Primo panini is my favorite but they are all top tier. Their canoli are quite possibly the best I have ever had. I buy two of their easter pies every year and my family goes nuts for them. If you haven't stopped in you are missing out big time. The staff is very friendly and warm like being around family.Parking: Free parking up and down the block both sides of the street“
“A wonderful Italian style deli. Deli contains authentic Italian meats. Prepared foods are Wonderful and staff is willing to accommodate to special requests. Hands down one of the most authentic grocery’s in the area, right down to the fresh hand made cannoli! Enjoy.“
“Hard to find place. Visible from the side road. Deli inside office bldg. Parking either in back( bit of a walk) or in west side lot. ( bit of a walk) Theres a small parking area out front of bldg, maybe 5 cars , not much. This is not the Deli's fault. Place can get crowded. Food and service are Tops! They have daily & weekly specials, which aren't always on the menu. I had the Hot pastrami sub. Which was excellent, nice and warm, accompaniments inside the sandwich were fresh, especially the bread. My dining companion had the Falafel sandwich which she throughly enjoyed. Place is kept clean. Decent amt of tables as well. They have a glass garage type door which was closed since its November even though it was almost 60 degrees. I bet its nice out there on their patio in the spring and summer. Great views, looks relaxing. Owner was very pleasant, I mentioned the bread, which was Turano baking co. He said hes old friends with them. I have a relative working for them. Owner was a nice guy. Bathrooms are down the way in part of the office bldg. The experience was nice. Prices are very reasonable considering the quality of food you're getting.Ill be back. Worth the trouble of stopping at.“
“Traveling to Chicago and searched for a highly rated sandwich shop to try. This place did not disappoint. Easily one of the best sandwiches I have ever had. The staff were very welcoming and friendly. Will definitely come back when I’m back in town.“

“Looking for a quality meal in a mall food court is challenging. Halsted Street Deli had friendly service. We sampled the chicken noodle soup and found it tasty but not overly salty. It tasted like they made it there not from a can. The panninis were satisfying. We ate it in the food court and they were crunchy, not sure if they would stay that way.“
