“First time there. Came in with a party of 6. The restaurant was very busy. But our server Crystal was outstanding!!!!!! Very personable, knowledgeable, and all recommendations were spot on. Appetizers, meals and desserts were amazing. The runners, bus help also 5 stars. As we were leaving the owner actually made it a point to ask us how everything was. We will definitely be back. Very impressed.“

“We stopped into this little place one Saturday afternoon on a whim while walking downtown Geneva. Such a cute place! We did a wine tasting. The woman who did our tasting was an owner, and you could tell how passionate she was about the Michigan and the wines. She was very knowledgable and the wine was wonderful! I got a cheese spread to take home. It's sun dired tomato falvored and I love it! Will definitely be back!“

“The drinks here are amazing! I had the "Logans Run" It reminds me of a spicy margarita. I also tried the "Phill Collins" which was also really good! When you order bar nuts, they come with a take-home Lewis ashtray! Love the atmosphere! The bartenders are really friendly! I will definitely be back! Thanks Lewis!“

“This place is amazing! It was my first time going to a bar in Geneva, and I was not disappointed. The interior is absolutely gorgeous. It’s classy but feels contemporary and inviting. The staff are super welcoming. They’ll answer any questions you have, and are great to have a chat with. And last but certainly not least, the cocktails there are amazing. They’re all so tasty and unique, I loved getting to try them out. Would go there again in a heartbeat.“

“Came here with friends. Ambiance was really lovely and warm set in a gorgeous old building. Good selection of drinks, service was professional and pleasant. The food was on the better side of average. Perhaps i ordered poorly. My Arctic Char was overcooked. Spatzle was drowning in sauce. My husbands slow-cooked ribs were good, the fennel in the lamb was slightly overpowering. The octopus starter was slightly overcooked. The shrimp bao was a winner. Desserts were delicious. The plating for everything was attractive. Would I return? Unlikely, given that we travelled for this.“

“Locally owned coffee/wine shop with on point food and seating inside or out. Solid spot to study, hangout with a group, or meet up for a date. Location is great, able to park in the town garage, grab a coffee, then go for a walk along the river.“

“We had such a fantastic night here as a family of 8 people and were taken incredible care of by Gino, our server. The staff was kind, engaging, and friendly and all worked hard to support each other considering how busy it was! The food was to die for, and Gino went as far as to get us an extra take-home container of a dressing we absolutely loved, because he was that great to us! My ONLY complaint would be the need for another bathroom or two, but when Gino saw me waiting, he escorted me to a back bathroom so that I didn’t arrive back at our table after our food was already served! The drinks were wonderful and the dessert was great! We WILL be back, and can’t wait to tell our friends and family how much we recommend The James. And to Gino- thank you for your great service, our family could not have been happier!Vegetarian options: Dishes are labeled clearly & salads all have the option to add proteins if desired.Dietary restrictions: Gluten free options & plenty of options for meatless meals.“
“I just had my baby shower at The Wine Exchange and I had to stop by to say a huge thank you to Bob and the team! The day was perfect, the food was absolutely amazing (I will forever dream of the french toast casserole) and a seemless process from start to finish. My husband and I will definitely stop by in the summer to enjoy the patio and the extensive selection of wines.“

“This is a really cool area in downtown St. Charles. Great place for wine tastings and the best exotic cheese selection around. Cheese with espresso, cheese with water buffalo milk. Really wild. Good selection of wines too. 50% shop, 50% 100% fun.“

“Good food and good service. I had the Barnhouse burger - which is a 1/3 lb burger patty topped with pulled pork and a cheese curd patty on a brioche bun. The pretzel bites and beer cheese were also great! Definitely feels like a slice of Wisconsin in downtown St. Charles.“

“Nestled in the heart of Geneva, Illinois, Reservations Restaurant offers a delightful culinary experience that pleasantly surprised me during my recent visit. After indulging in a relaxing massage nearby, I stumbled upon this gem, intrigued by its popularity and stellar online reputation. Stepping inside, I was immediately captivated by the cool, open-air concept and the soulful tunes of a talented live singer, setting the stage for an unforgettable evening. The menu, boasting an array of small plates, promised a culinary adventure, and it certainly delivered. We kicked off our meal with the lamb skewers and the intriguing combination of Asparagus and Lemon Whipped Ricotta on Apple Slices. While the latter bordered on dessert-like, its presentation was impeccable. The lamb skewers, however, stole the spotlight with their robust flavors and succulent texture, leaving us craving for more.Eager to explore further, we dove into additional appetizers, opting for the Spanish Garlic Shrimp and the beef skewers. Although the beef skewers were slightly overshadowed by the potent mustard, they still offered a burst of flavor that tantalized the taste buds. However, it was the Spanish Garlic Shrimp that emerged as the undisputed star of the show, perfectly marrying garlic-infused goodness with tender shrimp, creating a symphony of flavors that lingered long after the last bite.Overall, Reservations Restaurant proved to be a delightful culinary haven, blending inventive small plates with a vibrant ambiance and top-notch live entertainment. While there were minor hiccups along the way, the overall experience left a lasting impression, making it a destination worth revisiting. Whether you're seeking a casual night out or a special occasion celebration, Reservations Restaurant promises to satisfy your cravings and ignite your senses.“

“I had the ginger salmon, which had a good flavor but was seriously over cooked and quite dry. Flatbread appetizer was very good.Parking: Adjacent to a nearly abandoned indoor mall, and this is on the edge of that parking lot, so there's unlimited parking.Wheelchair accessibility: Easy access and all on one level.“

“This is my favorite place to visit for celebrations. In fact, I dine here on my birthday every year. The food is always delicious, and the servers are friendly and attentive. The turf room can be a bit pricey, but it is well worth the money. Try the ribeye!“
