“Nice local spot with affordable prices ! Small cozy place . So best to get there a little early so you don’t have to wait for a seat . My service was fast and attentive. All the workers are really friendly . I got the Greek French Toast with whip cream . I recommend the Hash Browns . The other dish I shared was the Hobo Skillet . I really enjoyed the cut up potato’s in the dish . Going to come back for lunch next time to try the Sloppy Joe’s . This is a cash only place and they only stay open till 2pm .“

“De Mar's in Blue Island, IL is a must-visit for anyone in the mood for classic American diner fare. The restaurant has a cozy, old-school feel that instantly transports you to a simpler time. Every time I sit down in a booth it makes me feel like i can talk about nothing, (a Seinfeld reference). The menu is full of classic diner dishes, from hearty breakfast options to juicy burgers and sandwiches to homemade soups and salads. I particularly enjoyed the Tuna melt, which was perfectly put together with just the right amount of cheese and tune on white bread. The French toast was also excellent, with a soft and fluffy texture that melted in my mouth. But if you want the traditional, just order the all American breakfast, 2 sunny side up eggs with hash browns and two slices of bread, along with a cup of coffee. Everything is delicious. The staff at De Mar's are friendly and attentive, making the dining experience even more enjoyable. They were quick to offer suggestions on what to order and were always on hand to refill drinks or answer any questions. The restaurant itself is clean and well-maintained, with a warm and inviting atmosphere that makes you want to stay for hours. There is plenty of seating, so you won't have to wait long to be seated, and the prices are reasonable for the quality of the food and service. Overall, I highly recommend De Mar's to anyone looking for a traditional American diner experience. So if you are in the area of Blue Island this restaurant It's a gem, that I plan on returning to in the future.“

That's how good they were. Even the chef came out to see how everything was. I rated four out of five stars absolutely going back.“
“Great coffee. Friendly waitress who checked on us often and gave us our own pot of coffee. The restaurant and the bathrooms were clean. We were there about 1a, and I felt safe. Not too crowded. The parking lot is well lit. This location is just off of I-294.“

“Today my mama and I came to this location for the first time. From the moment we walked in we felt so welcomed. Brittany welcomed us instantly and had menus at her hands. She walked us to our table and came back to us shortly to take our order. She was extremely kind, funny, and had a great smile the whole time. She was sure to not only cater to our table graciously, she also took the time to be sure her other tables were taken care of. She was extremely fast-paced and always made sure we had our drinks filled. She is what you call a dream server. She checked up with us in good timing and even complimented us. Brittany you’re honestly great ☺️ On top of that, this has to be the cleanest location we have ever been to and that’s something many appreciate.
