“I loved my experience at Dear Margaret! This was my second time here and I thought it couldn’t be better than the first time (which was outstanding) and it exceeded expectations! The wait staff is so kind and takes time to explain the menu and wine selections. The meal was coursed perfectly. We loved the duck confit, pork schnitzel, and the pommes frites. Thank you Dear Margaret for a great evening!“
“As a perfectionist who doesn’t believe in anything being perfect, I found it hard to give any critiques to our Bistro Campagne experience. Our server, Alexander, did not miss a beat. Every bite of food was exquisite. We enjoyed the escargot and mussels as an app. Then we split the steak frites and salmon entrees. Incredible. I also highly recommend the Spanish Harlem cocktail. We will be back again.“
“The food was great. The service was fine nothing outstanding but food was great. It's slightly larger than a bedroom so prepare in advance and book a reservation or prepare to wait. I sat at the bar and got bumped by the waitstaff the entire time but I happily ignored it because the food was so good. Again it's not a place for a large party but you'll be delighted you went!“
“Awesome vegetarian options at a French restaurant—feels super rare! Went for happy hour + dinner as a birthday surprise for my boyfriend (who’s newly vegetarian). Every dish was tasty and felt original. My favorite was the mushroom “escargot” (much more memorable than regular escargot) and my partner’s favorite was the carrot tartare. The chamomile bourbon soda was also tasty—their happy hour specials were a great value. Already wanna plan my next visit to try more!!“
“We’ve been to Marco’s a few times and have enjoyed our experiences. There is always a wide variety of thoughtfully prepared options to choose from in all categories, land and sea appetizers, entrees, several salads and desserts. Last night we had the bacon wrapped scallops appetizer which was delicious, the mahi mahi and shrimp with a delicious coconut based sauce. The strip steak was cooked perfectly and came with some lovely crisp veggies; unfortunately the steak was tough and almost stringy. The server asked if there was anything else I’d like which felt like the right thing to do. The servers are efficient but generally not warm and fuzzy. And the environment is very loud. Anyone with hearing issues wouldn’t be able to hear anyone else at their table without that person raising their voice considerably.“
“Went as a group of 3 on a Friday evening for a girlfriend's birthday and this restaurant far exceeded our expectations. Each dish was better than the one before. We had the baked brie, the poulet farci ( stuffed chicken), the bouillabaisse Marseillaise (assorted seafood), Filet Mignon de Bœuf Grillé au Jus de Cuisson, the apple tart, the almond cake, and the profiterole. I would highly recommend this bistro for a date night, birthday, or a 'just because' dinner. The staff was also very friendly and helpful with making selections. Thanks for a wonderful experience.“
“Group of 4 for dinner, fabulous experience starting with Jeanette who got us seated and set up with menu and drinks. Very attentive service by the whole team. Great menu selection, well prepared and presented. Looking forward to our next visit! Thanks for reading.“
“Celebrated a birthday here! The group was welcomed with a glass of champagne. The room has a pink Parisian vibe, very beautifully done. It happened to be happy hour as well, which goes to 7 pm. We tried the burger and it was good but a bit too salty for the four of us. Wouldn't order again but we had other dishes including the gnocchi and that was divine! Would like to return for the beef Wellington. After our meal we were invited behind the bar for a tasting of a speciality liquor. It was fun ending to the night and felt very personable. Great for celebrating, especially a girls night! Ps. Check out the bathroom, adorable!“
“Unfortunately, BCC closed just before Valentine's Day and so far, no news on where the key team members have moved on to. And no news on what may replace on this site, this is truly the tragic loss of a restaurant that was destined for great things.“
“This is one of the best experiences I could ever recommend. It was magical from start to finish. 8 of us went - spanning 3 generations. It was a night to remember for all. Chef Benoit was a master host, instructor, chef and all around great man to be around. RaeAnn was super accommodating and responsive. Made reservations and planning a breeze.“
“Absolutely wonderful experience in every way. The place is charming & cozy and feels like a slice of France in Chicago. The server was just lovely- attentive & friendly and super helpful.Everything from the Savory crepes to the French Onion soup to the Sweet crepes was heavenly! We will definitely visit again and recommend every one run, not walk to this somewhat hidden gem!“
“I deliberately went out to Westmont because I do frequent the on for what is me the south side of Chicago. They did not disappoint. The food was on point. The drinks were on point, and so was our server excellent. My family and I went on a late Sunday evening it was not crowded.“
“Such a cute place and beautiful summer patio!Loved the goat cheese and peaches salad. The garlic butter that came with the steak and frites was heavenly and the pork chop was so tender juicy. The server was nice. One of my favorite restaurants in Chicago!“
“Since coming back from Paris, I just wanted to re-experience an amazing French breakfast and pastry. And this place never disappoints! I brought my mom here and knowing she has high expectations, I was nervous. But after her first bite, I knew that she loved it! Everyone is always very nice and the atmosphere is just so cozy and very French. The croissants are to die for!“

“THE BEST, best authentic French food in Logan Square. Paloma the manager and the whole team are incredible. I brought about 30 hungry high schoolers here for lunch after our field trip to the Art Institute and we had a wonderful time. The sandwiches on baguettes are delicious and fresh, and the desserts are handmade with care. My kids kept coming back for seconds and thirds and then for to-go orders to take back home. All the employees were so accommodating and made our trip special. Mille mercis ?“
“I love this place. I've had one of the BEST sandwiches and pastries here. The downside is that sometimes they forget the order. The other day, I ordered two almond croissants and two sandwiches. I picked up the order and went home (I live 20 min away from this place), only to realize that they had forgotten my almond croissants. I called and asked for a refund as I live too far away to go back to pick them up. They said they would, but they have yet to refund me. Another time, they forgot to give me the salad I ordered instead of the chips. Again, I was already home, so I called again to notify and ask for a refund, but the same thing happened. I wish they paid more attention and gave me the complete order! Or a refund when they make a mistake.“
