“Alfano's has been a favorite restaurant in our family for a long time. We've never had a bad meal. We have friends from Monroe (WI) who drive past several Italian restaurants to eat at Alfano's. It's their favorite, too. I took away a star for the atmosphere because of the gambling area. It is private and quiet, but it takes up some of the previously available dining area.“
“We have been here several times. Sometimes it's busier than others, which can get loud for having conversations, but that's pretty normal & "healthy" business... we have had 4-5 in our group & been able to keep conversations going well despite the noise.Service has always been friendly & fast. Drinks & food have always been good. They are happy to accommodate any needs. Will keep coming back!“
“We stopped in for Tenderloin Tuesday after hearing about this place in one of the pork tenderloin groups. I have to say it was delicious! I got a half sandwich, while the men with me got the full. It was crispy, crunchy and extremely flavorful. I like mine with lettuce and mayo, which they happily made that way. It was empty when we got there at 11:15 but by noon, the whole place was packed. Would definitely recommend stopping in if you're ever in the area!“
“Food is far above expectation for Ogle Co. Dining . Service is fabulous. Downfall is that we have never eaten here and not had super wasted obnoxious beer drinking idiots playing pool. Seems like a bad business plan to drive away people spending lots of money on food for a bunch of people that drive customers away. The pool table is inconveniently placed by the front door so you have to walk awkwardly around a crowd of inebriated fools to get to your table. Every time we have come here people just get up and leave due to the rowdy folks blocking the front door and the access to the gaming machines. That being said. The food and the service (truly a rare find in these parts) outweigh the cons for our family.Kid-friendliness: I would not recommend bringing small children here. At all. My kids are big boys and not sheltered. Normal children would not fare well in this environment.“
“Yet again, Ciminos was the best pizza place known to mankind. Word of advice: get the extra sauce. Their sauce is the best pizza sauce I have ever eaten. Beer nuggets were also excellent, would recommend. You can get a large pizza with an appetizer and drinks for 2 for 25 dollars, and you'll have to save half the pizza. “The owner went out of his way to make us feel welcome tonight, and the waitress was attentive. We got beer nuggets and a thin crust half cheese, half mushroom pizza. Both were delicious! The sauce was really good and the crust was nice and crispy. The beer nuggets were a pleasant surprise and we’re happy to find a place closer than DeKalb to get them. We will definitely be back!“

They have a full bar that you can wait for your pizza. This is where all the locals go. So you know it's good food.“
