“Tried this place for the first time today because I didn’t wanna go all the way to the city to the original Home of the Hoagy and wait forever & stop at an atm to get cash? I googled “Hoagies near me” and Fitches was the first to pop up! They’re definitely my new favorite! The hoagies were so fresh and delicious and the sweet steak was good and tender. “I drive all the way from Darien to get there sandwich. Started going there 45 years ago and then I moved and came back and the original location was closed and I thought that was it. About 5 years ago while on Facebook I saw and add for Peppo’s. I was thrilled to know that they simply moved. Best sub sandwich you will find. I love subs and no one beats peppos“

“While not my usual selection, I ordered the Italian beef dry with juice on the side. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the sandwich and the generous amount of beef packed into it. The side of juice was fine for someone like me who doesn't was a soaked beef. With the side of fries and drink it is a sandwich meal that satisfies. The employees are courteous and efficient.“

“This is a great dining and go restaurant. There are so many different selections for pretty much anyone. They had gyros and sub sandwiches hamburgers and hotdogs, chicken and salad. Lots to choose from. There is seating inside and plenty of parking easy to get in and off of the restaurant from route 45.“

“I didn’t think I’d like my order, but I took a leap of faith anyway. The Phillywich Super 14” was my order and it was absolutely delicious. The garlic sauce truly topped it off for me! The steak and mushrooms were grilled to perfection! The bread was excellent. I ordered the sandwich with caramelized onions,green peppers and pepper jack cheese to boot. I will surely order from them again. If you like Philly cheese steak sandwiches, you won’t be disappointed. The sandwich was good and hot upon delivery. I’m going to treat myself to another lunch from them real soon.“

“Ordered catering from Darla’s this weekend for my college graduation party. Went in a few weeks prior to try the sandwiches since I had never had them before and the staff was super nice, even gave me free samples of their salads to try along with my sandwich orders. Since the sandwiches were so good, we decided to go with them for our party. Our order was on time and exactly as we’d asked. They also provided us with mustard and mayo packets and “The Goods” on the side in convenient serving packages. The pricing is also extremely competitive. They are much cheaper than popular chain sandwich places’ catering options which shocked me since it is a small local business. “We need a good sandwich & soup place that doesn't cost a fortune and this is it. Had the California Club very good, very fresh. My daughter had tuna one of the best tuna salads around. Soup was good, fries were crispy, and the lemon cake was awesome. Will definitely go back and try even more things, and the sandwiches are plenty big! “I've ordered several times online, but Saturday, December 23, 2023 was my first physical visit. It was definitely worth the half- hour drive. Staff greeted everyone with a smile, was courteous and professional, and explained the ordering process with patience. The food (as always) was fresh and order was correct. Will visit this location again. There used to be one closer to me in Schererville, IN but it closed. Hoping another location will open in Northwest Indiana again soon!“

“Very good. Was a couple ahead of me getting serviced and another worker quickly waited on me. I had two 6inches. One veggie and one steak. Was very nice of them to ask if I wanted their gloves changed out before preparing the veggie after making the steak (keep from cross contamination). Everything tasted fresh and they was nice. My fav subway in the area out of 3 possible locations. It also helps that they stay open a little longer then the others.“
