“I've had two parties of 50 - 100 people fuelled by Taco Melly. The tacos and empanadas were all delicious, warm, and individually wrapped so it was all very covid compliant. The vegetarian portabella mushroom tacos rocked my world. Everyone was so impressed! So I was so sad to see that this place is closed due to staff shortages. It's such a loss to the community and I hope you reopen soon!“

Perfect.The staff is so incredibly friendly, the environment is super cool and great photo spot, and there is amazing graffiti artwork on the side of the building that also makes a great picture opportunity. “Omg this was so so good. We got the Al pastor, carne asada and bistec for a total of $10. The carne asada was so so so good!! The bistec was also delicious and the portion was huge. “This is another great family owned and operated buisness. They have a wide variety of specialty sandwiches. They offer variety of dinner options. I haven't used the catering before but I'm sure these guys are good at it. The restaurant is a hidden gem and need to look for it a little. It's clean and didn't see any signs of insects, etc....The specialize in Mexican food but as I said they have multiple specialty dinners that are not Mexican. I personally ordered a patty melt to see how they tasted, and it was great. Please support family owned businesses. I think corporate will do fine. “Food was okay, atmosphere is cool, and the service was great. The food wasn't as flavorful as the other Mexican restaurants I'm used to from around the area. I had the pollo tacos and shared a platter of the nachos. Both were just okay - nothing to rave about. The restaurant itself is clean. Reminded us of a diner! The staff were also super kind and helpful, which is awesome. This hasn't replaced my go-to Mexican restaurant in the area, but I'd still visit again to try something else on the menu!“

“I absolutely love Big Rigs! From their food truck to their restaurant, their food is always so delicious. My go to is always a Quesadilla de Alpastor (tortilla hecha a mano). They’re a pretty decent size, I get full with just one ? definitely always recommend this place to people ?“

“Regular price and size tacos al pastor are really good. On Monday and Tuesday tacos are supposed to be 1 dollar but if you don't ask they won't tell. Why would you advertise that in social media if you don't offer it to your customers and instead just give them regular tacos and when customer ask, you say that you need to ask for those ? ? If you opt for the special taco be aware that you would get 80% tortilla and 10% grease scraps.“

I had the al pastor, mushroom al pastor and chile relleno tacos and each one was better than the last. I like that there is a lot of variety in the menu with some off the beaten path choices. “First and foremost, the staff of any restaurant are the ones that truly keep an establishment running and thriving and are the heart and representation of the business.The hostess / order-taker and crew at Stacked and Folded, were super friendly to us and offered such great customer service!The atmosphere inside is very nice and offers an elevated casyal food experience.Even though the average taco is around $6.50, it is very large and offers a lot of the actual ingredients. This was the case with my short rib taco. The short rib taco did offer a little bit of that spicy hot but not too much which was good, and yes, was slightly sweet in the sauce as advertised. Overall, the flavor combination was very good and would rate it a 3.9 out of 5. It was just tender and juicy enough, but could even be a little bit more tender in the meat. I know it is not easy when it comes to short ribs and believe me they did a good job here! It is worth getting!We had also ordered the short rib sandwich, but I recommend to have the short rib in the taco form. It just taste even better with the corn tortillas!The sweet potato fries are a five out of five star! Some of the best I’ve ever had in my life. They are cooked perfection, and have that right texture on the outside and perfect on the inside. Amazing.Now as a cook, my (James’) critique is focused on the shrimp taco. My advice based on the best shrimp tacos I have ever encountered or made are taking thawed raw shrimp, then marinate them of course, and grill them briefly and just right so that they come out juicy and tender and with that amazing flavor profile.That would make your shrimp tacos a five out of five.“

“The food here at least for the carnitas, are hands down the best, i live near the ORD airport and used to drive down all the way down to the southside for some good carnitas. Thank goodness, I no longer have to since finding this gem of a restaurant. Another indication that this place is great is because it always has customers, never empty. Oh, and their champurado is da bomb! I haven't tried other stuff on their menu like tacos, flautas, etc. But I can vouch for the carnitas. staff is also friendly and very clean.“

“We used El Pollo's food truck for a Saturday afternoon bridal shower and everything about it was amazing from start to finish! The owner, Aureliano López was a one man show, getting there in plenty of time to make a variety of delicious tacos, quesadillas and elote for 35 guests. The truck pulled all the way up the driveway into the back yard so everyone had easy access to grab their food from the brightly colored very festive truck! Don't make the same mistake. The food is traditional and well made by very attentive and authentic owners. I can't speak to the burgers (haven't tried them), but the Burritos, tacos, and flautas are all solid, the salsa's are excellent, and the Mexican fries are crisp and tasty. Great service too.“
