The experience was awful. The restaurant was closed, and OpenTable let me book a table and ruin my date. This restaurant is permanently closed. I expect OpenTable to give me my hundred points anyway very disappointed!!!

HOSPITALITY PLUS!!! EXCELLENT FOOD!!! We enjoyed our Ribeyes, baked potatoe & veg medely. Our salads were crisp! We enjoyed the Beat salad & the Wedge. We shared the Chocolate cake; this was to die for! Hanna our waitress, was the BEST! She kept checking on us for refills & needs. SO SAD that the restaurant is now closed ...

Rachel was our waitress and explained the specials and offered drinks and appetizers. Her recommendation of the cream of chicken artichoke soup was spot on. I ordered the NY strip and my wife the ribeye. Both came with a vegetable medley and baked potato. The steaks were flavorful and the sides were delicious. Rachel even brought the chef out to introduce himself. Rachel then explained to us that the restaurant is closing. I have eaten here numerous times and have never been disappointed. For the price, the quality of the food is well above the chain steakhouses. It's sad to see another family owned restaurant close.

Recently moved to Plainfield. Its been on my list of places to try for 4 months. Took my fiance there for a well deserved end of year meal. Ambiance was great, staff friendly as can be. Just made me feel like Family. Wine selection on point. Appetizers on point. Steaks cooked to perfection! Just a fyi - order extra garlic oil with the bread, its so effing good! We will be back for sure

I am going to join the disappointed reviewers from NYE as my boyfriend and I were there and got the worst service and food ever. We were not even taken care of until 45 minutes after sitting down and that was just to get a drink. The waiter had come back to the table next to us multiple times. It would have been nice to get a heads up in the first few min that they were over staffed. My boyfriend's Manhattan was too sweet and tasted like cough syrup and my dirty martini wasn't up to par. I could have gotten a better one at a sports bar. The menu as others have stated was a fixed menu and the crab cakes were the only thing that tasted descent. The baguette on the filet appetizer was stale, we never got our second course and both of us ordered the chicken piccata where the chicken could be accurately compared to grilled chicken from McDonald's. The chicken was over cooked and the meal was served on a salad plate. Furthermore we witnessed two other tables complaining and watched a table 4 walk out after being there for an hour with no one taking their order. We asked the couple next to us if they had any complaints and they stated that their meat was raw. The waiter had the personality of a wet mop and didn't seem apologetic or offered compensation until after I complained. The best part of the night was that he didn't charge us for anything. I could have had a better meal and service at a dive bar.

Our family chose to dine at Opera House for our New Years Eve Dinner, and were extremely disappointed. They offered a $50 Prix Fixe Menu, four courses, which was very limited. The server took our orders and the appetizers came out one hour later. The Oysters Rockefeller were cold, the 2 deviled eggs with caviar had 4 caviar eggs each. Our second course came out about 1/2 an hour later...lobster bisque was good, however, our salads were warm. Our entrees arrived shortly after and yet again, we were disappointed. The chicken breast on two of the entrees we ordered were clearly frozen chicken fillets that had been thawed, and were quite tough. The surf and turf my husband ordered consisted of a cold filet and cold lobster tail, even the baked potato was luke warm. We you spent $$$$$ for a fine dining experience and received subpar service, and food. We will not be back.

Went to Opera House for New Year's Eve 2023. The worst service ever. It was a flat charge of $50 per couple with a very limited menu. It was a four course meal, never got the second course after waiting an hour after the appetizer. Entree was then brought out very warm. Ask for manager as we were told to make it up they could box our salad and soups, really?? Then our deserts were delivered to wrong table and we told the individual bringing out the deserts, but he didn't care. Our main server didn't even come back to us. Will never go there again!!

We went on NYE so the menu was fixed, no one told me this when making a reservation. 4 course meal for $50 so the price was not bad but the meal was TINY! only a few options to choose from and being pregnant I had slim pickings due to a lot of the food not being cooked well (prime rib and cocktail shrimp) Only really had one option to choose from. My ravioli was ice cold after waiting 1 hour for food! My husband asked for ranch for his salad because the only option was balsamic and the server said they don't have ranch today.... I'm sorry if were paying $50 for a super small plate of food, you cant accommodate ranch for a salad that was lettuce and onions only! Should've came with croutons and cheese but the server told us that it as a typo on the menu, but the table next to us had croutons and cheese! THE SERVICE WAS TERRIBLE! I know it was NYE, but if you're taking reservations only you should be prepared with enough servers especially if the menu is slim items such as desserts couldv'e been prepared beforehand! We had a babysitter and took WAY longer than expected! Our dessert took 45 mins to come out, A piece of chocolate cake and what was supposed to be cheesecake, was pudding falling over on the plate. WHAT A WASTE! NEVER again, do not go here! save your time and money there are so many other great places in DT Plainfield!

Service poor - we waited extremely long for drinks, bread, water - waiters kept bumping our table set in a corner booth they had to pass to serve the bar area. Apps were good but both of our entrees were cold and the meat chewy & tough. We didn't even stay for dessert which we paid for. We noticed other people getting up and leaving. Not what we expected for upscale dining!

Our server was phenomenal considering they were overbooked and under staffed. The food was lower quality than normal, which was disappointing for the holiday. However the martinis were fantastic and our server was very attentive considering.

Delicious steaks, quick and friendly service, and wonderful ambiance. Conveniently located in downtown Plainfield with easy to find parking.

We've been here at least 5 times, but Christmas Eve was our worst experience. It started with our not so friendly waitress. They also had a limited menu for $50 per person. All the appetizers were seafood options. For the shrimp cocktail; they give you 2 small pieces of shrimp and cocktail sauce. The Ceasar salad was dry and barely had any dressing. I had the Tuscan chicken and I swear they used the chicken strips from the kids' menu instead of fresh chicken breast. They were fried and hard on the edges. We were told we were getting bread, but the waitress never put the order in so the bus person put it in for us. She also noticed I was out of wine and asked if I wanted more. She let the waitress know and 10 min later she came by to confirm i wanted wine without ordering it . It took at least another 10-15 min to get my 3 oz of wine that I paid $12 a glass for. The dessert was tiny. There were 2 bus people, a man and a woman and they were outstanding. Attentive, filled. our water, cleaned our table, asked if we needed anything. They were so polite and happy and were the ones running around working their butts off. Our waitress barely came by and wasn't very friendly. We've never gone out like this on Christmas Eve and for the 1st time the kids weren't home and this was such a huge letdown. We tipped the man and woman who went out of their way to make sure we were happy. The waitress got the minimum. We are huge on customer service and great tippers if you are good at your job. We probably won't be back.

Service would be ok if food service wasn't so slow. Took 3 hours to have a simple dinner. Restaurant wasn't even crowded. Mixed drinks weren't good. Food also was just blah. Won't return and can't recommend restaurant. Server was very friendly and nice but service was horribly slow.

I should have known we walked into a restaurant with only 3 tables sat on a Friday at 6:30 things wouldn't be good. Surprisingly, it took a while to be greeted by a server even though there were 2, and only 4 tables (including us) in the restaurant. There is a food runner/busser, so the delay wasn't in delivering food. The crab cake appetizer was the best thing we had during the night. My entree was horrible. I ordered a medium filet with a blue cheese crust. I will say the plate was beautifully presented. Unfortunately, the steak was well done, questionably a filet and hidden under a bed a blue cheese, radish and some random green herbs. The steak was so dry that so barely ate it. The server had no interest that I was not happy. My husband ordered the same filet, requested medium and was served medium well. At least his was the right cut, and not a dry piece of meat. However, the lobster tail he added on was overcooked, and unappealing. He didn't even finish it. Now I see why over the course of the 90 minutes on a Friday night they only had 6 tables total. This is a one and done restaurant. Clearly their chef has no clue how to cook steak or seafood. While we live in Plainfield, the extra 10 minutes to get to downtown Naperville is worth the drive for a better meal. We will never be back.
