“Stopped in for a quick bite on our road trip. I had the loaded cheese fries and broccoli cheese soup. I love that the fries were fresh cut and not frozen fries. The broccoli cheese soup was really good as well.”

The owner holds many events for his customers throughout the year, helps out with the community with charities and host a lot of parties for many locals. The bar is well known for the Famous country singer Gretchen Wilson. The cute little bar is a local favorite! They have weekly specials and always have some tasty wings!”

“On our way home to Missouri from Eastern Illinois we stopped in this quaint little town and visited some antique shops before stopping at the Sweet Shop and Mercantile. I bought a cheese danish. It was without a doubt the best sweet roll I have tasted. Be sure to visit this charming little shop and buy some delicious pastries. Your taste buds will thank you!!”

“Highly recommend Copper Dock! We went on a Saturday night in mid-September. They were very busy with homecoming weekend and short staffed but the service was great! They originally told us we would have to wait 40-45 minutes and we really only waited about 20 while we did a quick wine tasting inside. Our server, Dawn, was amazing! She made sure we had drinks the whole time, our food came out quickly, and the cheesecake we had for dessert was absolutely delicious! We can’t wait to have an excuse to come back!”

“The food was fairly priced and got A LOT of food. One of the only times on this vacation my oldest ate something other than just bread! Service was nice, the interior was super clean as well as the bathrooms and I liked the decorations. Our server was great! Definitely a place to stop on the way to wherever you're going for a meal.”

“My best friend used to deliver beer to Nuby's back in the 90's for his dad's business. I'll never forget when I rode along the route and ate a burger there for the first time with him. We went back several times. He passed in 2013. I haven't been back in 15-20 years or more, but am planning on soon as the food was just amazing. I drive by sometimes and look over and think of the good times.”

“I went to this farm a long time ago on a school trip as a kid. The tour was very fun and informative for a younger kid. However, I was reminded of this trip by stopping in at the local dierbergs and buying a good-looking bag of cheese curds, and they tasted amazing! After eating the whole bag and going bag a few days later to get another , I looked up the company and found this farm, the farm I visited years ago! Great people, animals, and cheese! These are must buy cheese curds, and the farm itself is a fun and informative place to visit and tour.”

“This is a somewhat hidden place in Highland. Unless you're a local you've probably never heard about it and how to get there. It's nearly disguised as a house since it's on a residential street which borders the business district. But either way, it's a great hidden gem. It's a great senior citizen's place, as they are open during certain hours. And in 2024, they will only accept cash - not that it's a bad thing. They do have a great menu, and some may say the food is not top quality. But the prices are very reasonable, whether you're coming here for breakfast and lunch. Service is great as well. Lots of Highland history on display too.”

“Phenomenal. I cannot remember when I have had better brisket, or a better overall meal. Prices crazy reasonable. A time travel trip back to a time when everyone knew everyone, and you were greeted with a smile even when you were a stranger. Make a trip to experience this special restaurant. Ask for Mary. She is the best.”

“I'm writing this as I'm enjoying the rest of the quiche I took home today. I went for breakfast and had the most amazing bacon, cheese, leek, onion quiche. I loved it so much I wanted to know if I could buy whole ones instead of a slice with sides, and they happily accommodated. Not kidding, best quiche I've had in my life. 5 stars”

“Recently visited Highland Diner with my son for the very first time. We had a MOST WONDERFUL TIME! The food and service were amazing! This place is an absolute jewel and we will definitely be returning!!! Highly recommended!”

“The ice cream is delicious! Some unique flavors too! The employees are really really nice. They will have conversations and joke with you if you start talking. The place is full of bright colors and replicas of cakes. There are no chairs or tables inside but there are plenty on the square. They have little cups and cones filled with what I think is clay to show you what your ice cream with look like. They are definitely not stingy with how much ice cream they give you. Nor the toppings. :) They give you punch cards too! Definitely recommend if your in the mood for ice cream.Dietary restrictions: Don't eat if your lactose intolerant. I think they have gluten free ones if i remember correctly.Kid-friendliness: Just like you would expect, it's great for kids. It's ice cream!”

The food is good, the wait is short (at least the times I have gone) but the real benefit is the options for those with dietary restrictions.Dietary restrictions: I have a lot of dietary restrictions. They have a really good Gluten Free option for pizza crust, so that is a great plus, but I was really impressed with the willingness of the staff to check ingredients for soy.They literally checked all the ingredients in the pizza, just to serve one customer. I am really impressed by this place.”

“I went to the Greenville location today, and the two ladies working convinced me to try a “Cotton Candy” cream soda. I can’t express enough how good it was. I was going to take a picture of it to post because it is also really cute looking, but before I knew it I drank it all. Was longing for another one. Perfect spring and summer refresher. “My husband and I had an early dinner at Diamond Mineral Springs and it was delicious! They serve family style and the amount of food is huge. I had the fried chicken, dark meat, and it came with two things and three legs. He had the pork roast and dressing. I totally forgot to take photos of the food. “The only sit down coffee shop in Greenville. Lots of students... as should be expected since it is on GU campus. But, the drinks were excellent and the baristas were friendly. The smores coffee was wonderful and the cinnamon scones perfect.”
