“A hidden gem along I-55! Was driving to Springfield and found this great spot along the way. Well worth the visit. Ordered the lumpia, bbq pork with an extra skewer, and the Magu Magu drink (mango juice with fruit pieces inside). I've been to a few Filipino restaurants and I will say Lola's lumpia were the best I've had. Served with a lightly spicy dipping sauce, they were crispy, warm, and really good! The BBQ pork skewers were served over rice and were perfectly cooked. If you have a decent appetite, I definitely recommend ordering the extra skewer as I wouldn't have found two skewers to be enough. The pork was not chewy, came off the skewer with an easy tug, and left a little sauce on the rice. Served with a vinegary dipping sauce which gave the perfect blend of a sweet sauce and a little acidity. Tried a Magu Magu drink which was really good and washed down the food perfect. I'll be heading back through Pontiac on my way home and will stop by again to try more. And then when I make my periodic trips downstate, will be by again and again. Salamat!“
