“This place was delicious. We got food for takeout (felafel, tabbouleh, hummus, pita, and fries) and all were delicious! There is also a chopped tomato and onion salad which is mildly spiced, I didn't catch the name of it, but we got it at their suggestion, and it's also so yummy! They were out of foule this time, so we definitely plan to go back. Very casual atmosphere with plenty of tables, and very clean.“

“De Mar's in Blue Island, IL is a must-visit for anyone in the mood for classic American diner fare. The restaurant has a cozy, old-school feel that instantly transports you to a simpler time. Every time I sit down in a booth it makes me feel like i can talk about nothing, (a Seinfeld reference). The menu is full of classic diner dishes, from hearty breakfast options to juicy burgers and sandwiches to homemade soups and salads. I particularly enjoyed the Tuna melt, which was perfectly put together with just the right amount of cheese and tune on white bread. The French toast was also excellent, with a soft and fluffy texture that melted in my mouth. But if you want the traditional, just order the all American breakfast, 2 sunny side up eggs with hash browns and two slices of bread, along with a cup of coffee. Everything is delicious. The staff at De Mar's are friendly and attentive, making the dining experience even more enjoyable. They were quick to offer suggestions on what to order and were always on hand to refill drinks or answer any questions. The restaurant itself is clean and well-maintained, with a warm and inviting atmosphere that makes you want to stay for hours. There is plenty of seating, so you won't have to wait long to be seated, and the prices are reasonable for the quality of the food and service. Overall, I highly recommend De Mar's to anyone looking for a traditional American diner experience. “Las Brothers has been a staple for decades. They have an extensive menu sure to satisfy any craving. I've been visiting Les Brothers for the last three decades, and I can honestly say I don't think I have had a bad meal. Highly recommended.“

“We were looking for Greek food, so it made us a bit nervous to find how little of the menu was Greek. We need not have worried. The meal was excellent!One sign that this cuisine is authentic is that they use the word "gyros" properly, as a singular! (The Greek plural is "gyroi".) My wife genuinely loved her gyros plate. In turn, I liked my souvlaki meal. The food was well seasoned. And the helpings were very generous. Boxes were required.It was obvious that the locals love this place. We will be back.“

Service was excellent as waitress made sure coffee cups were continuously refilled and always checking if anything was needed.The food was prepared exactly as ordered, the portion size was unbelievable and the taste was outstanding. “Food was good, prices were good. They had my favorite hot sauce (Louisiana) the staff were great. Three things that I say need improvement. The toast was a little too toasted, there was no grape jelly, and there was just a single cheese option. I would add at least 2 more options.“
