“After the gym my friend and I stopped by Taqueria El Perez after seeing it on TikTok. Unless they have a back area I didn't see this is a small restaurant with Mexican flair and totally work the visit. The service was excellent. I asked our waitress to repeat the drink options 3 times and she did it with a smile then offered samples to help us choose which flavor was best. She checked in on us and made sure we had everything we needed but on top of the owner went around the restaurant making sure everyone was happy and the food was good. Ohhh and it was delicious . I ordered the vegan mushroom tacos since they didn't serve seafood and they were seasoned to perfection. So yummy. Even though I tend to stay away from dairy I ordered the elote and it was sooo worth it! My friend ordered the birria tacos and she couldn't stop talking about how good they were. The chips and salsa were also bomb! Salsa had a little kick to it. I ordered the mango drink and my friend ordered the Fresca. Both so good and refreshing. This place is a gem .“

“My first visit here has been awesome! A super friendly woman greeted me, and took my order at the counter. I had chips and salsa and a chicken chimichanga and they were a 10 out of 10 on the flavor scale. The chips were fantastic as were the salsas and the pico de gallo. The chicken chimichanga was one of the best I've ever had anywhere.. I also had the Jamaica to drink, sweetened hibiscus based tea that was wonderful with my spicy food! I will definitely be back to this restaurant again and again!“

Restaurant offers little for Vegans. Vegans, as myself, I ordered a taco salad, with lettuce, tomatoes and guacamole filling. Had to pay an additional $2 or $3 for no meat and to add a scoop of guacamole.“

“Visiting my son and he suggested this “place for tacos”. Well it was way beyond tacos. This is a jewel of a place literally hidden in south suburban Chicago. The chef is adventurous and he goes way beyond traditional Mexican fare. We had an amazing mussels in chipotle sauce, that you will want extra bread for dipping. My son had a massive salmon burrito. He said the salmon was cooked to perfection. The chefs special was a four cheese ravioli with crawfish and a delicious sauce. Again, not your typical Mexican dish but terrific.The place was sadly deserted on a Tuesday night. I hope people check it out as it deserves love.“

My husband had a costilla dinner (both shown in the pictures). My kids had steak tacos. Everything was very good. Honestly I have to admit their al pastor tacos are one of the best I've had. They have very good flavor and they are definitely worth the price, since they are big. “I have ordered from this location at least 5-6 times through Uber Eats. Today I stopped in to pick up lunch. I’m having the fried catfish which is always fresh and delicious. I’ve had the lamb chops, the short ribs, chicken wings, chicken salad and many of the sides. I have 0 complaints!!!! Even when delivered, the food is amazing. I must say I’m glad I stopped inside before I met and. Darcy and the drive she provided was exceptional. She was knowledgeable and kind. “From a Mexican native perspective. Memos is a small clean place in the main avenue with parking on the street. The waitress is very friendly and prompt to attend customers. I felt welcomed. I ordered a basic 3 asada tacos. She clean the already clean table and bought 4 salsas. The only one freshly made was the orange made of habanero Chile. It was superior than the others. The meat in the tacos was hard and the cilantro and onion were fresh. I will comeback to try the other things on the menu.“

The food is great, service great and the place is spotless. It's head and shoulders above other local Mexican "burrito joints."
