“I have now visited this place a few times. I was here when they first opened and they needed to work out the kinks. I visited again when their pastries seemed to only come out of the refrigerated shelves and now they have a case with pastries. The two women working were nice when I arrived both greeting me separately when I walked in. One worked solely on drive thru orders and didn't help out the main counter if there was no one in the drive thru. The other working the main counter took her time making my drink of choice: hot mocha with oatmilk and an extra pump of chocolate (not a coffee drinker here). She filled my mug to the brim with artistic yumminess. It's a fairly open concept inside with two Jeni's ice cream coolers along one wall and a refrigerated cooler with juice cold brew canned coffees, bagels, fruit and other items. There's plenty of seating and plenty of space so you aren't on top of others. They have bistro tables, high chairs with a counter along two windows, low tables for 2/4/6 people for privacy to collaboration, and they have comfortable chairs and couches with coffee tables. It's a great place to start your day, conduct business, meet up with family and friends or to just kick back with a nice cup of Joe and a decent nosh.“

“I was at a company party right around the corner, they ordered food but things I couldn't eat. So I snuck out and stopped in here. asked if there was any specials, they had The personal pizza for $5.99. I thought okay whatever I got two toppings and didn't expect much but oh my god. This was some of the best pizza I've had in a long time.There's so many things on the menu, you really need a few minutes to look at everything to see what they have. They have all types of signature pizzas that sound marvelous. I pulled in Wednesday night didn't even wait maybe much more than 5 minutes from when I ordered to when it was done...two topping cheese with onions and black olives, paid cash and left. I didn't even make it inside to our function, I had to eat it in the car it was so amazing. There's about three more of these locations in between those one I'm leaving the review for and our house so we're getting another pizza tonight but sorry we're not driving all that way. we're getting one from Evanston. we'll see if it's just as good. If not, we're driving all the way out there to this store for more pizza. Very nice woman at the register and a very hard-working guy in the back. The bathroom was clean, had towels, soap, whatever. most little strip mall places like this don't pay attention to that stuff. I usually take lots of photos of all the carry out or restaurants I visit but this pizza was so good I was not going to pick up my phone and interrupt my eating. next time, next time.this location has a fancy painted up Prius for a delivery vehicle and offers free delivery as well.“

“Fantastic food with great portion sizes, the Miso and Seaweed soup are delicious, ginger salad is amazing, and the traditional bowl is filling. Their treats are a perfect dessert after the meal. Highly recommended for a healthy place to eat that will fill you up but won’t weigh you down!“

“Hidden Gem in Highland Park behind the Police Dept. on Old Deerfield Road.Family owned. Husband Wife team are always there. Wife greets you upon arrival. Has an outdoor patio.Very Creative menu and everything is delicious. Daily specials sell out fast.Recommend Tuesday Trio especially because it’s the only time the make BBQ Chicken. Thursday Orange Chicken is the best and unexpected.And the most unique of all the Corned Beef Brisket Yes Corned Beef Brisket. Really Everything is good. Fish is wow. Even have Grouper.Gotta try it. You’ll love it.“

“Got here before 5pm and the place was empty, which was nice. Got seated right away and after reviewing the menu, went with Hokkaido Cha-Shu Ramen and small order of Karrage.Chicken was perfectly fried, only had few pieces and took the rest home because I wanted to enjoy the ramen. Now, I'm not a fan of miso ramen, but their version was better than what I had expected and had in many other joints in the states. I was bit lost with the two potato wedges they threw in there and the cha-shu was bit dried unfortunately.Service was awesome, water got filled w/o me asking and food came out quickly. The place got busy after 5pm and by the time I left, all the tables were occupied. Would recommend you visit before the dinner rush.“

“Unbelievable food. The Kabuli Palaw had some of the best lamb I’ve ever tasted. Meaty, incredibly tender, deeply spiced roasted flavor but still juicy. Fell off the bone with a breath. The rice was fluffy and fragrant, while the carrots and raisins provided a sweetness to cut the richness. A light side salad to add freshness and a chickpea curry for some creamy side made for a well-rounded meal. Super friendly owner, very warm and welcoming. Will be coming back for sure.“

“My first time here. The place is spotlessly clean and extremely cozy and comfortable. The staff is very helpful but not "too much" so you can enjoy the excellent food.The salad was not only delicious, but very pretty and colorful.Excellent food, excellent atmosphere, excellent service. Extra protein is only $3 (perfect if you are splitting a bowl - which you could easily do). There are seven veggies, including kimchi, scrambled eggs, and cheese to add to your bowl, top it off with one of 6 sauces. Pineapple and avocado are premium toppings at $1.50 each. I found the Korean BBQ tender and flavorful. The broccoli is oven roasted, bringing ou the nuttiness. Seriously, two people can split a bowl or plan on lunch tomorrow. ? On the beverage station is a crock of hot Miso soup, it is included in with your bowl. I found the soup needed salt.“

From late August, 2023:Was just there today for our usual: steak and chorizo corn tortilla tacos with cilantro and Jarritos soda. Service is friendly and patrons are everyday people, which makes this good for dine-in as well as carryout.Dine-in is recommended, though,because of the larger indoor area and the fact that the tortillas are just slightly crispy on the outer shell, which makes for a really good bite. That slight crisp gets soft during carryout.Last, the chorizo corn shell taco here is great with a ton of spicy salsa roja smothered on top. And I had to mention that because I'm hungry.Wheelchair accessibility: Shared lot with other business tenants in complex.“

“Best food in town. These are his mom’s recipes, and she is sometimes behind the counter, stirring the pot. Bare-bones dining area (it used to be a hotdog stand), but the quality of the food is unsurpassed. Nothing bad on the menu, but I get the chicken plate “Tony Style,” with layers of buckwheat kasha, hummus, and tabbouleh.We did take out at least once a week during lockdown, and nearly always got it from here. We were not the only ones. There is a small army of regulars, many of whom the owner knows by name.“

“I decided to have french toast because of the attractive pictures on here. I tried the monthly special ube french toast. The sweet cream sandwiched between the toasts and the ube sauce were delicious. It looked very artistic too! I also like how the toasts were not drenched in syrups. My boyfriend had the smoked salmon plate and he enjoyed it too. This restaurant seems very popular as I had to wait in line for around 15 minutes on a Sunday morning before getting seated. Glad the waiting area had chairs so I didn't have to stand in line. This place is right across from Advocate Lutheran General hospital where my boyfriend will be working at. It was our first time here and he was suggesting coming here again!“

“Wow! What a great Thai restaurant with great food, home ambiance, impeccable service, and reasonable prices! The food was flavorful, fresh, and plentiful! Just the right amount of spice and the portions are more than enough to satisfy even the hungriest of appetites. What really impressed me, was how friendly the staff was, given how absolutely busy they were on Friday night. Our carryout order was taking a little bit longer, and several staff members came by to offer a complementary bottle of water, and a friendly conversation while we waited. This is not something that many restaurants do out there, and Jimmy Thai definitely stood out to us with this extra touch of customer service! The staff were quickly seating people at their tables, and zooming in and out with people's orders! Everyone who we saw had a smile on their face, and all the diners who were finished with their meals, left with smiles on their face. I saw one of the staff members even hugging one of the diners, and it looks like they have known each other for years! This is what it is all about! It warms my heart that knowing that there are still great restaurants out there that are reasonably priced while producing delicious food, and are in turn supported by their community. “These scones are AMAZING! He had bagels one day, and it was quite the treat. My grandfather has been a regular customer for years, and can confirm the quality is consistent and customer care is superb. Many people think of scones as dry, but these are wonderfully moist! My suggestions would be the apple cinnamon or strawberry scones for a first time try.Dietary restrictions: They had options for vegan and gluten free sensitivities. Not all options are gluten free, but are clearly labeled as such.“

If you're a fan of sushi and Japanese style appetizers but looking for a Subway restaurant style of informal dining ...a quick bite to eat, without all the overhead in service and prices, then I suggest trying this place.My favorite is the deluxe salmon bowl with the black rice. The fish is very fresh and I like the crab and seaweed salad. This has a very savory without being overpowering a true umami kind of tasting food. No overkill on making it hot or spicy. The meals include complimentary self-serving of miso soup. The prices are very reasonable for the amount of food you get. In my opinion it's a great sushi bowl at Subway prices.“

“Pita Inn needs no introduction, this is an established staple of the neighborhood. Pita Inn is full of staples for lunch, and dinner. The lunch specials are perfect and a crowd can be expected. Pita Inn service is top notch and will get everyone through as quickly as possible.The menu also offers great entrees, sandwiches, sides and some sweet eats like baklava. Pita Inn is always on my short list for take out.“

I'v also bought them at Pure Juice Cafe in Arlington Heights. With my wacky commute, I've also been able to find them at Brewpoint Coffee in Elmhurst as well as Conscious Cup in Palatine. We love their muffins, cookies, and donuts so so much. They are tasty and never give us a problem with our special dietary restrictions. They also are at the Mundelein Farmer's Market and offer seasonal special sales from their wholesale baking location in Mundelein. I follow them on Instagram where they advertise their latest products or new flavors. I also keep tabs on which businesses stock them on their IG page because it feels like the list keeps growing! The curry that it came in was also tasty. Tandoori chicken came out sizzling and was seasoned perfectly with the right amount of crisp. Tender and soft as well. Lunch came with Naan which was fluffy and it looked like it was baked fresh. Definitely not the typical flat store bought Naan. Chutney was also provided when I was seated. I ordered the mango Lassi and as you would expect it was standard and good.Lets quickly talk about service. I came in with luggage (just came from the airport) and they held the door open for me. So kind! I was seated at the perfect seat where I could toss my luggage to the side and out of the way. I asked for a box and the check (server could tell I was still picking and eating) and he said "I'll bring the check later, no need to rush". What a man! So sweet and kind. I came during non-rush hours (after 2pm) and I felt like I wasn't a bother at all and very welcomed. I appreciated the small talk here and there too as a solo diner!Definitely check this place out! They also have a fully stocked bar but I didn't order a drink.“

The woman on the phone was exceptionally friendly, patient and helpful. Everything in order came out perfectly incorrect. The food was delicious, everyone was happy and we even have amazing leftovers for the next night or two. Washington Gardens is consistently good and there is always a pleasure to deal with. “I can't stress enough if you haven't tried these yet make it one of your regular spots. All of their dumplings are delicious, but the beef and onion are my personal favorite. It's usually a 25-minute wait for the pan seared dumplings, but they are fresh and cooked to perfection.“
