I had the chicken and waffles. I don't like anything on my chicken so I'm glad I asked for it to be just plain friend chicken. They cooked more chicken for me but it was tasty. A bit light on the seasoning, but still good. My sister had the catfish sandwich and that was very good. The fish was very crispy and flavorful. I will be getting that the next time I stop through there. My daughter's chicken tenders were also good and flavorful. Hopefully I'll get to try their Sunday brunch...read full review
Had the catfish sandwich yesterday and it's the real deal. It had that genuine course cornmeal coating that you just can't find in No IL. Restaurant is extremely clean and staff very friendly and accommodating. We'll be back!

When I say I’ve been living in the Rockford area since 2003 off and on and I’ve never had the treatment that I had a Sonny’s Place their food was phenomenal the service was excellent even the music was on point I highly recommend eating here the owner jerriah came out and introduced herself her it was totally a honor to be able to experience such a great environment and amazing food……… Stepper get your shoes ready she have something brewing so be ready!!!!
