I ordered delivery from Southern Smoke BBQ Pit thru Doordash. As always, the food was AMAZING!!! I can't find better coleslaw or quality BBQ anywhere else in the area!Tonight, they gave me a free piece of the most delicious cake for free!!! They sent a hand written note apologizing for my order being picked up late! I didn't care, but the fact they did, and they make it such a personal experience (even with delivery!) warms my heart! I'm recommending them to EVERYONE, even at my own duress. If I keep telling people about this spot, they'll never have what I want left when I order, lol!BEST IN TOWN!!!

I ordered the rib tip dinner and they were so good I couldn’t stop eating them. Service was great and fast. And I love that it’s so close to my neighborhood. This was my first time and I’ll definitely be back.

I recently moved to Rockford and was looking for a good BBQ spot, as I spent the past 8 years in Janesville with no available authentic BBQ. This place is EXCELLENT and reminds me of my childhood living next to a BBQ joint in north Chicago. The tips are TENDER and juicy, and the sauce is spot ON. And the caramel cake is TO DIE FOR!!! ten out of ten for me, and my new go-to BBQ joint. Thanks, y'all!!!

Best oxtail dinner I’ve ever had.SUNDAYS SPECIAL???
Ordered the Chicken wings and they are not chicken wings,they are party wings! And there was only mild sauce on my fries……I’m not use to this. When I order wings with mild sauce I expect actual WINGS and mild sauce. I’ll continue taking that ride to the city to get my food fix.

Like I told the owner this morning, your food is on point like Stacy Adams, every time I visit their restaurant.! They are what should I say they've created a great service for our city No Doubt great food great atmosphere.
The rib tips were so good we ordered for a second time, we did get a Sunday dinner with chicken, greens, mac&cheese, dressing, corn bread and a slice of cake. Everything is delicious. I brought it to work and co-workers tried it, no complaints from anyone except for one and that was the greens were a bit spicy for her but she loved them. Definitely will be going back. Love the idea that I can count on some great freshly prepared food for those Sundays I can’t make my family a Sunday dinner… Staff were friendly, respectful and courteous. We will be ordering again.
Get Catfish on Friday 3x a month. Good food. Great people!

This restaurant just open this year, it is a woman owned restaurant black on restaurant we were trying to partake in it. 2 support at the food was awesome in the beginning when they first opened, and then within the first 2 months, the food kept going downhill and weak ordered at least 10 times from there and the 10 time was our last time, I'm sorry, we really wanted to help this place to open, but when you do subquality food, and you're oil now doesn't taste the way it did when you first started cooking, it's like you brought people in, but you don't know. How to keep them and I'm really disappointed to have to make this survey but I'm telling you, it is not what it used to be. I don't know what happened and if you try to call. Home on the phone they're business phone is a cell phone. And they only answer it when they want to.
