Fun coffee shop in downtown Rockford that has a small menu but lots of flavor. In the City Market on Madison at State is this place to get something cold or hot. Velvet Robot has this location along with another one in town. Mostly it's coffee on the menu. They at times have food, but there's other cafes in this building if you have to eat something. Came in here in the morning to get coffee. It's about $5 for one of the seasonal ones. The prices are higher than typical chain...read full review
I love this coffee shop! I got the iced baclava coffee and it was amazing, plus the atmosphere on the inside is a huge bonus. Definitely a nice little coffee shop I'd recommend to anyone in the area

Coming from a coffee hater, the iced coffee is delicious. Sam recommended the Banana Stand on my first time in and boy did he get me hooked. The breakfast sandwiches are also incredible, big portions and cooked to perfection. Another big plus is how kid friendly this location is (Alpine)! My tweens love it and I can’t wait to bring my toddler for a special chocolate milk.
