“The Capital Grille is one of my favorite spots for lunch. Everything we’ve tried has been excellent! The calamari is fantastic — perfectly cooked and so flavorful — and their Caesar salad is one of the best.

The salmon with couscous is also amazing. It’s cooked perfectly every time and feels light but still really satisfying.

But the absolute star of the meal is the crème brûlée cheesecake. Thick crust, tall cheesecake—It’s honestly one of the best desserts I’ve ever had. It’s so good that I’ve even order it for takeout sometimes!!

Their site indicated fresh ingredients, fresh dough, and outstanding service. It’s true! This is not a chain…as in everything tastes the same, pizza. The sauce is fresh and not overly salted or seasoned; you taste the tomatoes, the sausage, the green peppers and the onions! It was risky because I ordered this for New Year’s Eve for a group, (even tho I’d never had it) but all loved it. I had to laugh thinking about others’ reviews that note it tastes different-that’s because they haven’t had fresh ingredient pizza in so long. The owners (I assumed) were fun and kind and the cozy/small pick-up makes you feel like you are in another country-Italy. “Uncle Julio's in Schaumburg offers delicious traditional and contemporary Mexican-style food. Service is fast and friendly. We love their complimentary thin crisp chips and roasted tomato salsa. Kids and larger groups will love the chocolate, fruit and sweets-filled pinata. For a smaller, but delightful dessert, try the churro cake. Yum! Although all of the servers are great, we always ask for Alex. Such an accommodating and kind server!”

“It's my first time going there. I parked where the empty boxes are... a huge mistake. You have to line up before turning towards the gate. When a trailer comes out, you go forward and people ask which gate you're going to park at. My mistake cost me 6 hours.”

“So I’ve been here 3 times and all 2 of the 3 times there were issues. First time I ordered a banana split and the girl had no idea what a banana split was. I got something in a banana split container, but it was not a banana split. The second order was today and I ordered a Jamoca shake and it doesn’t taste like coffee even a little bit. It tasted like chocolate and there’s remnants of what seems like chocolate chunks mixed in. Very disappointing.”

“First time stopping at Bs Shrimp & Fish after driving by the area and seeing this new spot had opened up. I tried their shrimp, corn fritters, onion rings and spaghetti. Everything was bursting with flavor, the shrimp tasted very fresh. They make their own homemade sauces and what a bonus to find they carry other options like wings tenders, desserts, mac n cheese and much more. So glad to know we now have this jem in the neighborhood. I will be a returning customer for sure!”

“We visited with a large party for a friend’s birthday, so there was a bit of a wait before we were able to get our food order in, but overall the experience was positive. I don’t usually like sushi, so I ordered the yaki udon, which was good, and it came with a miso soup that I really enjoyed; though I do wish the udon portion had been a bit larger.

My partner ordered the Mango Tango roll and chicken tempura sushi and really liked both. The sushi was good overall, and the presentation was pretty, even if it was served on fairly basic plates. We also tried the chicken karaage, which had good flavor but could have been a little juicier.

To top it off, since we were celebrating a birthday, the staff brought out a free dessert for the table, which was a really nice touch. Overall, it’s a solid local all-you-can-eat sushi spot and a good option, especially for group dining.”

“Randomly found this restaurant on google maps driving from the city to burbs in search for a place that makes jjajangmyun, my mom’s favorite. Ordered a bunch of items and picked up. Sat inside to wait for them to finish my order and I loved the small mom and pop random design, comfortable feel. Food - Everything was delicious. Price - very reasonable for what you get. I’d have to argue the best jjajangmyun in Chicago - I mixed the kan-jjajang and jjajangmyun together. This will be the go to spot to pick up for me whenever I head to the suburbs. 🚀🙏”

“I am SOOOO lucky to live right across the street from this ice cream shop. It’s a bit more pricey than some places but the cost reflects the incredible quality of their premium ice creams. My faves are Peanut butter cookie dough; Coconut chip; Fat Elvis & Zanzibar (a rich dark chocolate). There’s a flavor for everyone. I think there’s like 50 different kinds. Open from mid-March to mid-October & on the last day of the season, you can buy whatever is left over. I got a whole tub one October for about $50–it lasted the whole winter! Yummmmm🥰”

“A Hidden Gem on Plum Grove and Higgins – A Must-Try!

We recently visited this charming restaurant located conveniently on Plum Grove Road and Higgins, with easy access from entrances on both sides of the building (formerly a McDonald’s). It was our first time dining here, and the experience was fantastic from the moment we stepped inside.

The staff greeted us warmly and made us feel right at home. When we mentioned it was our first visit, they went out of their way to explain the menu and highlight the house specialties. We started with chips and salsa, and what a treat! They served four varieties of salsa, each made fresh in-house. The flavors were unique and absolutely delicious—some of the best chips and salsa we've had in a while.

For our main dish, we opted for the fajita combo. The staff kindly asked how we preferred the steak, which we appreciated as it showed their attention to detail. When the sizzling fajitas arrived, they didn’t disappoint. The steak was perfectly cooked, tender, and bursting with flavor. The chicken was equally amazing—juicy, well-seasoned, and just as satisfying.

The tortillas were kept warm in a tortilla warmer, which was a nice touch and exactly how I like them served. The sides of rice and beans complemented the meal perfectly. The rice was light and flavorful, and the creamy refried beans rounded out the plate.

The location is just three miles from our house, which makes it even more appealing for a quick and satisfying meal. We can’t wait to come back and try more items from the menu. If you’re in the area, do yourself a favor and check this place out—you won’t regret it!”

For the best experience, I recommend trying Freezeland’s “Specialty” dishes marked with a star on the menu rather than the regular items.”
