I got the mild chicken. The seasoning is fantastic the chicken was tender! The potato salad is great too. Fries could be better, but they aren’t bad. The place looked really clean.

Just a half block west off the Oakton stop on the Skokie Swift and you'll be able to able to enjoy a delicious crispy chicken sandwich from Byrd's. Freshness and quality at an affordable price, for real! Try it with their 24k sauce and you have yourself a perfect sandwich, my friends. Recommend the crispy green beans too.More like a neighborhood spot than a chain, Byrd's is run by good people. The guys behind the counter are always cool and very hospitable. Highly recommend!

I’ve been here twice. The first time I was disappointed and I thought I should give this place another shot and I did. And it was disappointing again. The food is extremely bad. The service is nice, the people that work there are very kind and respectful but the food is just awful.

What an incredible place! The food is absolutely delicious, and the portions are very generous. The mains and the sides are so good, and I can tell it was all prepared with a great deal of care! Highly recommend the chicken sandwich!
Ordered chick n donut and sandwich.... Really loved it Must go place and have the sandwich and Byrd bomb and it's Zabihah halal.... Best chicken sandwich

this was nice! I got the first thing on the menu (I forget the name), and it was really good! not the best hot chicken I've had, but pretty tasty regardless. the fries were very good, the potato salad was nice, and the dipping sauce was divine. I didn't love the vibes tho, as there was bright white overhead lighting and really really loud music playing. not a deal breaker by any means, just not a preferred spot to sit in, especially in downtown Skokie. service was just slightly awkward cuz there wasn't anyone at the order counter, and I had to reach over the counter in order to get utensils.would recommend getting this place to-go and enjoying it elsewhere at the many cute places in the area
Get the Byrdbomb - its delicious, and they dont skimp on the portion, sauce, or seasoning.Byrds is WAY better than Raising Canes or Daves Hot Cicken.

Wanted a hot chicken sandwich and this place came up so we decided to try it out. The eating area was clean but pretty empty and there was one woman working hard to take orders and make the food. The wait was pretty long but again it was one woman working at the time. After we got our food, she had gone around to the three parties eating and apologized for the wait and offered extra fries. The food was delicious, a little pricy, but overall we liked it. Since there was only three parties at the time I went, it wasn't crazy loud. The music choice was nice, too.
