Seafood Restaurants near Somonauk

“This was only my second time going here even though I only live 4 blocks away. The food, service and atmosphere are wonderful. The only things I can think of to improve is they were short on staff and we were there quite awhile. Also the menu doesn't describe the food, we had to ask what everything was. I guess if you are a regular you might know what chicken George, chicken Jane or smothered chicken is but we did not. The variety of desserts was amazing!“

“Amazing mariscos at a good price, drinks are very good! Overall the food is to talk highly about. There staff is on it, checkin on you periodically to make sure you are having a good time eating and enjoying your visit. My go to is of course the Langostinos, Levanta muertos, camarones cucaracha, their different ceviche options and their tacos de camaron!!! 5 stars but if could give Sabor Nayarit 10...i would! It is a little slice of Mariscos/Mexican Seafood heaven!!! Im so glad they opened up in plano and i hope they keep growing, they deserve it! It does get busy, so if you can't dine in order it go. I Do!“

“I've been to Genes chicken well over 100 times easily. Used to live right next to the place. Try the beef roll, great pizza that will beat any upper Midwest pizzeria hands down. The fried chicken is epic. They also do a family fried chicken meal. So if you come to the largest county fair in Illinois the Sandwich Fair the first Wed thru Sunday Labor Day week you have to check this place out. It's only an hour drive or 60 miles due west of Chicago or 70 miles south of Rockford.“
