Have enjoyed food from this location prior and the service albeit slow has been alright. Today I entered the store and waited 10 mins before leaving as no employees came to the front of the store despite the door chime and me calling out. Several employees were in the back talking and I could see them braiding one another’s hair. Really disappointed. At this point I don’t see us going back despite the convenience of the location and what I consider to be decent sandwiches.

I placed an order for take out and when I arrived the store was closed up right. I tried to get a refund and I have to wait 48 hours for a support person to pick up the issue.I’ll not order from here in the future since they can’t keep the restaurant staffed and they still take orders they can’t fulfill.

I went to there to Firehouse in Springfield, Illinois at 5:00PM yesterday and the door was locked. The lights were on the coke machine and the lights were on the business sign above the front door. Are they closed now for good?

We went at 5:30 pm and the doors were locked. There were two employees inside that just stared at us when we tried to come in.

Multiple issues today. Tried to get Firehouse on DoorDash but the driver called to say that 'Firehouse's DoorDash system is down', so I had to cancel that order.So, I drove there. There were 4 people dining and two people in line in front of me at the register. (Not busy at all for 11:45 on a weekday on the West side of town.) So, I was excited that I'd probably be in and out fairly quickly.Well..... that was not the case. I sat for 15 minutes at a table waiting on my sandwich to be made. NONE of the employees started to make any sandwiches after I placed my order. They were all in the freezer area off to the side of the register having a very loud dispute. (There were 4 employees working. Two ladies making sandwiches, one man working the register and one man in a polo that looked like the manager.) They were literally yelling and arguing with each other- in a place of business. At lunch time. In fact, people walked in and waited at the register to order while all of this was going on. Two men walked out and left, rolling their eyes. It was ridiculous and extremely unprofessional.Of course, I get the sandwich back to my office and it's not correct. So, I wasted my entire lunch hour driving to Firehouse, waiting on my food and I didn't even get to eat it.Literally the WORST service I've ever had. I loved Firehouse when it was in this location before- it was professional and I never had issues. Since it's been re-opened- it's a joke.

Decided on Firehouse because I have not had it in years. I also love the soda machines they have! They reopened in my next city so I finally stopped today for a late lunch. Upon entering I should have turned around and left right then. The establishment really was just not very clean. The floors hadn’t been swept in quite sometime. Wrappers and crumbs all around the tables, the drink station and the trash can. Very short wait time on the food which did surprise me. However first bite out of my sandwich I immediately seen a small black curly hair. I took my food back to the counter where I waited for a worker to come out. They got the manager. Great we will figure this out. Wrong. They came out and immediately tried saying that there was no hair. I pointed out there clearly was as it was stuck into the bread. The manager then proceeded to tell me it was my own hair when it was very clear it wasn’t. Refused to give me my money back. Didn’t offer to make it right in any way. I told them the place was disgusting and they procecced to curse and scream at me. I said I would call corporate because this is not how you run a business, in return was yelled more to get the f out of their store as I was leaving. . There was 2 other customers eating together whom threw their food out and left. They had terrible customer service and I still plan to call corporate's number on my recipe. If they make it right then I will change my review but like I said this is not how you run a restaurant.

So happy to have Firehouse Subs back! Food was so good and other than an issue with ice machine- everything was great. All the employees were friendly.Vegetarian options: Offering veggie sub and can customize any sandwich to accommodate dietary needs.Kid-friendliness: Pretty sure they had coloing sheets bit not ositive since I don't have small children and sometimes don't notice everything.Parking: Parking lot is very big - many businesses utilize the parking areas, so typically find somewhere close to the shop.Wheelchair accessibility: Handicap spots about 20 feet from the front door. Sidewalk ramp by the handicap spots as well.Dietary restrictions: All items on menu have clearly marked ingredients and all sandwiches are made to order.

My sandwich is always great but I tried to go at 8:51pm on a Friday when their hours said open until 10 and they shut the lights out and locked the door before I could walk in. I would say they need better employees or management.

Just tried Firehouse Subs for the first time and I'm so disappointed. I called and the manager said she is 100% sure she toasted it, but the bread is soggy and chewy and cold. She said the toppings made it soggy. It's awful?

Hands down the best subs I have ever eaten, EVERY TIME! Very close to Schlotsky's Deli, which I used to eat all the time and loved.

Ok listen, my sandwiches are always SO good. The services is very slow, but if you come in with that expectation, I don't mind. I came on here to speak about the manager (I'm assuming because she's always working). She is VERY overwhelming. I know she is most likely stressed but listening to her demands, constant criticism and stressful nature, it is so hard to sit back and listen as a customer. I feel she makes her employees second guess their work, instead of creating a safe/calm environment. Each time I come in, there is always new employees and I'm assuming that is why. I don't mean to sound rude, but it would be helpful to help her change her tone when speaking to people, it makes me not want to come here and the food is always SO good. They also have never messed up the fact that I want no cheese.

I did not receive the Mac and Cheese in my order. I drove all the way home to find that we were missing an item. I drove back to the store and was met with employees who were very rude and condescending. We asked for the Mac and Cheese and they tried to act like I was lying. I then asked if my brother can have a drink for the mistake that was made. They handed my brother a drink cup to get a sweet tea and he went to get a drink. EJ the manager then proceeds to tell us that my brother needs to pay for the drink even though he was given the drink by another employee for the mistake. We were then told that we can either have a brownie or cookie for the mistake and we will need to either pay for the drink or throw it away. EJ the manager never apologized for the mistake that he made and made my Brother and I feel like we were the problem. We took the Mac and Cheese that was paid for and threw away the drink and left the store. This was our first time at the store and we will never come to FireHouse Subs again.
