I loved this place before until yesterday when my friend and I went there around 8PM. We got our food 10 mins later and started eating. At 8:23, the waiter approached us and said “are you still eating?”After I replied “yes”, he forced us to leave right away, without even a chance to finish our meals because “the restaurant is closing” while the official closing time is 8:30PM. This means, I even didn’t got a chance to eat the rib I was working on and was still underfed even though I paid for the food and service as a customer. To kick us out, he took out boxes and one old lady came out, signaling “you should get out now”. I first tried to pack my food by myself, but they even rudely grabbed my box and started packing for me. Obviously they blamed me for my slow packing. Well they could have allow us more time to eat, right? Or advance notice for more time? Or they should stop receiving orders earlier? Or apologize for closing soon? No, they did none of them but just directly kicked us out and indicated we were not welcomed even we were customers there. This is my very first experience of terrible service in my life ?‍?

Had tteokbokki with cheese. It was moderately priced and is big enough for two people. It's not too spicy and is slightly sweet and creamy. Fishcakes were fishy tasting (not in a good way) but the rest was good. Looking forward to trying more items.

I recently visited Bap Plus and was left deeply dissatisfied with both the service and the management’s attitude. After ordering and paying, I was informed that an ingredient was out of stock and was promised a refund. However, I never received this refund. When I checked my credit card statement and returned to the restaurant for clarification, the staff denied the occurrence and refused the refund, stating that the incident was too long ago.Furthermore, the manager displayed an extremely unprofessional attitude over the phone, refusing to address the issue. I strongly feel that this treatment was due to my status as a student and my Chinese nationality, rather than being Korean, which led them to believe they could treat me this way. I had expected a simple dining experience but was left with a feeling of disrespect and disappointment. It’s unfortunate, as I believe every customer deserves to be treated with basic courtesy and fairness, regardless of their background. I hope this feedback encourages Bap Plus to improve its customer service and address these serious issues.

This was my first time having Korean food and it was really good. We were leaving the UIUC Engineering career fair and decided to grab a bite prior to getting on the road. The food was fresh and flavorful. I love the textures of the foods and the spicy sauce you can put on your foods. We ordered kimchi soup, seaweed rolls, fried dumplings and Bi Bim Bap. Would definitely return in the future.

This is a good lunch spot for a quick meal. I will need to come back and try their soup noodles. Quality- I got the squid and pork rice dishes because I was really hungry. Overall, the food was average. It was well seasoned and marinated with their sauce but the meat was over cooked. The squid was a bit stringy and the pork was also a bit dry. The vegetables were cooked properly though. Quantity- for the price, this place used to give a lot more food. I had enough for lunch and dinner usually. Now they cut back quite a bit to just enough for lunch. Atmosphere- the place is clean and inviting. Lots of sunlight is able to get in and light up the place which I appreciate. Service- you just grab your food and sit down. No waiters or waitresses which is fine. They're usually accommodating here.

Good food, but they don't honor requests. I have tried twice to order my food without onions because I have an intolerance. I saw them put no onions on the order, but it came with them both times. This is annoying for me and could be dangerous for others who might have more severe reactions.
