First time at a new church today and I was invited to lunch by the pastor and several other people. It seems McAlister's is one of their go to places. It is a nice looking place with counter ordering and table service. They are apparently known for their sweet tea, which I passed on as I prefer unsweetened tea and not diabetes in a cup. The unsweetened tea was really good though. I had a spicy southwest chicken sandwich and a fruit cup side. It was a good choice as the sandwich was pretty tasty though nothing too special. It was good enough that I will gladly go back with this group from my new church it won't necessarily seek it out on my own as I tend to prefer locally owned smaller places. Still good though.

Cheapest plastic silverware ever. Come on, McAllisters. I like the food, and the restaurant itself, but really, the worst silverware ever. Now I have to bring my own silverware. Never had to do that with anyone else.

This location’s phone number goes to a voicemail no matter what option you choose. The app will not let you choose gluten free bread so we have no way of ordering ahead. Pretty frustrating when the Gurnee locations answers every time and is very nice and helpful.

Food good as usual but "manager" needs a lesson in customer service. I asked for an unsweetened ice tea with packets of fake sugar. Gal looked at me like I was speaking another language. I repeated what I wanted, again, deer in headlights. She goes and gets her manager. I say to her I want an unsweetened ice tea with fake sugar on the side. I added that's exactly what i said to her. Manager says look I don't know if you're having a bad day but don't take it out on my staff. She continued on to say I was being very rude, I should have patience with new girl. I don't know what she thought was so rude about my comment but to verbally attack me was uncalled for. Here's a tip if new girl can't understand what unsweetened ice tea is, dont leave her alone at counter. And dont be rude to your customers. Won't be back.

Went here on a saturday and was craving corned beef. i ordered a cornbeef and the sandwich was thinner than i thoguth it would be for the price. Not many employees we working but they were a nice bunch. Probably will not go

Just moved to the area and had the most fabulous experience. We ate here for a late lunch and there were only two workers so we had to wait a little bit; this did not bother us as I use to work for this corporation many years ago. The staff was busy at work and very kind.The place was very clean and the ambience was quiet. I had the pick two. The half Italian on gf browns was just the right amount to go with my GF veggie spud. Absolutely will be back. Pro-tip they have a drive thru if you want to eat on the run.

We were early, 4pm, but expedited a little better service. Service was good but many tables so had previous use. We also had to wait due to three others to receive their delivery orders. Just a little different. TY.
