“I have eaten here many times for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. My favorites are anything on the breakfast menu, the onion rings, and liver and oinons. I never have enough room for dessert, but their list looks wonderful. Last night we stopped for dinner. I had liver and onions. For $10.25 I had a bowl of stuffed pepper soup, 2 slices of liver with grlled onions, fresh steamed broccoli, baked potato and a roll. Everything I ate was delicious. Wed nights is chicken night and Fridays is fish night. Try them out if you haven't. Great food and friendly service in a diner atmosphere. You can't ask for more than that in my book.“

“The Wednesday special of 20 wings for 13 is amazing. Can get bone in or out.. Will even bread them either way (if wanted).Their house dressing (don't know flavor) is my favorite. Don't normally eat salad but do eat theirs..Always get served by same person and she is best part of going there.Have had their large ravioli and it is one of the best Italian meals in Peoria area. The lasagna was one of my GF favorites.They also have fountain diet mountain dew. Which is only soda I want..Price is little more than Avantis but the servings are much bigger (besides the all you can eat).My favorite Italian restaurant in Peoria area. “Alpha Bravo in Washington ILCrisp breading, nice thickness, goodL,T,P,&O but just a tad overfried. Tots were hot and crisp. Onion Rings were crisp and hot. I enjoy the thick cut ones. When you bit into it, you didn't get the rest onion comig out. Husband had the Tenderloin Pizza and also said it was a little too crisp. Once and done for the tenderloin.I would go back to try some other things on the menu.“

Even though we didn't have a reservation and they were fairly busy, they were able to seat us upstairs, where we had the room to ourselves.Everything from the appetizer to the dessert was prepared to perfection, and the staff ensured we had anything we needed without being overbearing. Everyone was friendly and helpful when it came to any questions we had regarding the menu. “We were there on a super busy Monday. They were very polite and pretty quick to seat us. Our server had lots of tables but seemed to always be around when we needed her, which wasn't often. “This may have been the best fried tenderloin I’ve ever had! Husband had a burger which was good also! The chips are waffle chips and very yummy! I got my fries well done and I usually don’t like thick fries but these were actually really good! Highly recommend. We got it to go which was good because it was very busy inside. I’m not sure how we’ve never tried this place before as my mom lives less than a half mile from here but we will definitely be back.“

Many locals support this establishment, including people from Peoria all the way to Mackinaw. Easy street parking. Enjoyed a night with friends on karaoke night, locally run by a family who loves supporting this establishment too. Had the build your own nachos (def. Baseball game style, simple, nacho cheese add your own toppings) basic, large portion of fried pickles and chicken tender bites with their traditional mild sauce. Everything was as expected. “We have a very picky eater. A few months ago she wanted to go out to eat and get French toast. With an internet search, I found the Buttermilk Cafe. Because she is usually a slow eater, I put her order in before the rest of us had made up our minds. She enjoyed her food so much, that she finished ALL of her food as we were getting ours. She's always asking to go back. The reason I didn't give 5 stars is that a couple of weeks ago the baby had fallen asleep without eating breakfast. I wanted to have food in the car when he woke up. They wouldn't bring food to the car. :(“

“Plenty of free parking although it's a hike to get in from the parking lot so if you have trouble walking be forewarned. The store was clean and well managed, we had a brief wait for a table but not too bad. Staff was courteous and attentive. The food was pretty good, not great but good. Portion size was average. The restroom was clean and well stocked. Food was out quickly and our orders were correct.“
“I really liked the morton culvers, best in area for me. A lot of times, you have to wait in a line, both inside and outside, especially during launching dinner times, but it's worth it. The food is always hot and delicious. we enjoy the big beef pot roast sandwich and make sure to make it a basket. And their custard flavors change every day. Yummm. And as a perk, they offer senior citizen discount!“
