I placed an order at the Tropical smoothie in Wicker Park Chicago. They claim to open at 7 am on weekdays, this order was placed at 9:02 am. I was charged and when I went to pick up my acái bowl and kiwi smoothie, no one was working and the doors were locked. I called the business multiple times with no response. I tried to call headquarters and was on hold for 30+ minutes. There was no compensation for this craziness, but yet they want to claim that I received my order and award me points...NO! I want my food and my smoothie or my money back! This is ridiculous

Pro: 1. Clean, bright seating area 2. Yummy food and drinks. We tried the baja chicken wrap, chicken caesar wrap, detox smoothie, and avocolada. 3. Free birthday smoothie (I got an email but didn't have time to redeem on my birthday) Con: 1. We used the mobile order for food but they were out so we had to pick something else. 2. There was only 1 staff so it took awhile since she had to do everything for the drive thru and walk in. 3. Food and drinks are pricey

Thank you Cesar. The woman behind the counter was busy/overwhelmed. Yet my Thai Chicken Wrap and Pomegranate Plunge were awesome. First time getting this, and I'll be getting it again. Maybe my new go to. And she managed to handle everyone else in a prompt and friendly manner. Customer centric location.

It's very obvious this franchise owner is watering down the drinks at this location or cutting the required ingredients in half because their smoothies have NO FLAVOR. I had a smoothie here for the first time today because I was too lazy to drive to my usual tropical smoothie location. Jokes on me because I just wasted my time and $8! My island punch smoothie, which is usually a refreshing burst of tropical flavors, tasted so bland and flavorless it ruined my morning. Avoid this location at all costs!! Such a rip off and a waste of time!!!

Stopped for lunch yesterday here via drive thru and got a peanut butter crunch flatbread and a peanut paradise protein smoothie. Good fast service and the staff is friendly as well. Definitely recommend to all!

Food is terrible. The quality of the smoothie is pretty watered down. I had island punch.The avocado sandwich is made with fake avocados and tastes horrible. The peanut banana crunch was ok it's the only thing I picked over and ate.Also the side of sweet potatoes were bland. Sweet potatoes have their own natural taste however not all of my potatoes were thoroughly cooked so it was a fail. I only ate the ones that were done. The person who took my order was pleasant but the lady who brought my food to the window was rude.i had to take my sandwich back because it had bacon on it they remade it for me but the quality is still trash. Don't waste your time or money,you won't get your bang for your buck

Tried to place an order for pickup 30 mins before close and wouldn't process the order because it was too close to closing time. Went in 15 mins before close and wouldn't make food because it was too close to closing time. What's the point of having business hours if you won't serve people when the business is open?

I would give 0 stars if I could. This is the second time I'm writing a review for the same ongoing issue. I bought my regular to smoothies again and by no surprise the worker went ahead and tipped themselves mind you not even giving me the option, but this time I saw them click it before I paid. I was optimistic that they might have cleared it, only to find on my receipt that they went ahead and tipped themselves. When I reached out I was told it could be a "mistake" which I would understand, but for it to happen every time with various employees and for it to happen to other customers. This is ridiculous and is theft at this point. I will not be coming again and I don't know who needs to hear this but unless you want your money stolen from you don't come here. I would like the option to select to tip and not have a worker go ahead and tip themselves.

Its also on the way home from my new job so I thought I would swing by tonight and try a smoothie. After all, that is what they are known for! I saw a good one called the Sunrise Sunset. It had oranges in it so I was looking forward to it. I was a little shocked at the price, but lets see how it is. This smoothie is terrible It barely tastes like anything (especially orange) and is way overpriced. The other thing that bothers me about this place is that I could see all the "rules" for employees on the wall when I drove up. Suffice it to say, this place appears to treat their employees poorly. This is paticurlary suprising after we just went through Covid. For all the money they charge for a smoothie (over $8), you would think they would treat their employees better. This place is not worth your time or your money. They make substandard smoothies and treat employees like dirt. The two stars are for the great customer service worker at the window. She was great. She also deserves better.

This. Place opened up near my house recently and I was excited to give it a try. I'm not the biggest smoothie fan so I was happy that they had a good variety of actual food items on the menu too. My friend from work went there on her lunch break and ordered the flat bread, she said it was good but not enough to fill her up so I decided to get a sandwich with comes with one side for the price you pay. I was very satisfied with my choice of the Caprese sandwich and side of kale apple salad. They tasted good and fresh and the portion size was average for the price. Next time I'd probably ask for light sauce as the bread was kinda soggy, but overall a very enjoyable meal. Easy parking and friendly staff too.

Service is a little slow to respond. You could have mobile/online orders to speed up the process order. But walking in doesn't have the best response time. They focus on serving their smoothies since it is faster but if it is busy you will be waiting on food depending of the backorder. If you come in just for smoothies on a pickup order then you should have no problem. Else you could easily wait longer than you wanted because this place has only few employees.

New Tropical Smoothie Cafe location on Devon where the old Pizza Hut used to be. Ready and fully operational for a week now. This location has a drive thru to order and pick up. The location is ready as well to take app orders. Ordered my mango magic and was ready on time. Smoothie tasted great! Service was friendly and greeted you when you walked in. Plenty of parking at this location. Definitely give it a try.
