Restaurantji's Wheeling guide: Where to find the best Mexican flavors.
“The best place to get burritos and tacos if you're near. Other places are sloppy. They tak the time to be nice and remembers you! The young lady who is the cashier is the sweetest. They make you want to come back. I'm telling you if you want a burrito and you see this review..get...it...from...here!!“
“i recently moved to the area and was looking for mexican food, and so i decided to try this place from google maps. i ordered the steak burrito special with rice and beans for takeout, and it was delicious! the burrito was big and the steak was seasoned well. i was pleasantly surprised and excited to have found a great mexican place nearby. this has become my go-to, and i will definitely be back often!“
“Went here for a quick bite and to watch the bulls game. Ordered tacos which were delicious but slightly salty, and the chips that came out were cold/room temp but good flavor. Elotes were awesome. The service was excellent though, it was completely dead and we were one of 2 tables and sat at the bar. Our server took care of us, put the game on, and was super friendly and attentive.“
“It s nice place in Wheeling to have tacos, I went on Tuesday, they call it taco Tuesday as every taco costs $1 only but this if you pay in cash , if you pay in card it s $1.29 , if you choose extra cheese extra 25 cents.for every additional item there s some extra cents .I ordered 2 chicken and one steak, the chicken was super good but the tacos are so small (maybe 3 to feel okay not full) .Clean tables, nice waitress and in general good experience.I recommend to try on Tuesday and pay with cash .“
“Delicious enchiladas de molefriendly waitress. The salsas were good. fresh home made tortillas. We went 1 hour before closing and the waitress was nice and attentive. It was our first time. I will definitely go again for local Mexican food.plenty of parking.“
“Overall pretty good experience. Chips and salsa were solid - even came with 4 different salsas to try! Green one was my favorite. We had several different drinks and all were very good, giant cantaritos ($14.99) and micheladas ($7.99) and decent food. Server was very attentive as well.Only slight complaint would be that they ran out of certain beers while we were there and that when we got the check it wasn't itemized so we didn't know how much the drinks were since the prices weren't listed. Will definitely go back though to try more of the menu!“
“The filete a la diabla is the dish I come here for. The sauce is flavorful and has a good kick to it. The rice, salad and garlic bread compliment the dish to help offset the spiciness (my tolerance for spicy food is low but I love the flavor of the sauce and so I deal with it). The staff and owner are friendly and tentative. I like going to a Mexican restaurant and hearing Mexican music while I'm there so that's a big plus.“
“If you are a fan of Chilaquiles as much as I am, look no further. This family owned business has the best Chilaquiles, red or green salsa, topped with cecina meat, cilantro, onion, queso fresco, sour cream, and for a small charge you can add eggs. The tortilla chips still come out fresh and crispy, unlike other places.Let's not forget the amazing hard workers who prepare our meal. The staff there are very welcoming, friendly and overall amazing.I've been coming here for a good while now for my lunch break almost every week and will continue to do so.P.sThe fresh guayaba water is also a must try if you never had it.“
