“I REALLY LIKE THE ATMOSPHERE IN THIS BAR, I GOT TO SEE ASHLEY AGAIN ☺️ WHO USE TO WORK AS A BAR TENDER ?. SHE REMEMBER ME FROM 6 YEARS AGO. WHEN I HAD COME IN THERE WITH MY DAD.”
“Renee, Andrea, Samantha and Leanne are the smart, talented, pretty, funny, personal, ladies that make the Grove a desirable spot to enjoy cocktails and beers, and some fun times!Vegetarian options: Well Andrea is Vegetarian option. LolKid-friendliness: Dont bring your damn kids.Wheelchair accessibility: There are folks that ride their chairs into the Grove.Dietary restrictions: Dont you restrict my diet punk.”
“What a yummy breakfast. I had the 3 meat omelet which came with hash brown potatoes and toast. I couldn't begin to eat it all, and believe me, I wanted to. My husband had corn beef hash with eggs and hash browns. He was pleased with the crispyness of both the hash and hashbrowns. Great food!”
“Phenomenal food and Phenomenal service.. Can't say enough how friendly and generous the staff is.. food is A1 quality.. Will definitely be back.. Plus all the tvs and slot machines made my March madness day extra enjoyable.. A++++”
“I was surprised by how good the food is just because this place is definitely more of a bar than a grill. We all enjoyed our meals, and the service was excellent. The prices are fair, and it would be a great place to come check out sports or some live music. They also have some slot machines.Vegetarian options: Not many vegetarian options besides salads, but I believe they have a few.Kid-friendliness: Kids are certainly welcome and they have a kids menu, but it is really close to an actual bar.”
“A solid four star experience. Our foursome all had a good time. The staff were efficient and friendly. We were sat immediately. Our server didn't keep us waiting either so a good job all around. My drink was good as was our food with one exception: the shrimp tasted fishy. I didn't dare eat them. Otherwise everyone loved their food. The ambience was fancy dining room with a homey fireplace at the end. It just felt comfortable and we all felt at ease. We'll have to try the back patio when the weather permits. It looks beautiful. Everything was clean and orderly as well. No complaints. Not gonna lie. If it wasn't for my shrimp this would be a five star review hands down. I would definitely return based on the overall experience. I would also recommend this restaurant.”
“I had the pleasure of being a guest for a billiard club member at this location and I immediately felt at home! The wood work, pool tables, and old pictures on the walls were awesome! Great place and inspirational… hope it’s around for a very long time!”
“Good place to enjoy an Italian sausage ? with sweet and spicy peppers. Add cheese. I was delighted with the bread ? , the place is big, very clean lots of parking. Will definitely go back ?”
“The indoor space feels intimate and old school, and the different types of outdoor seating are amazing on a nice day. Bonus points that it borders a forest preserve! The drink menu and draft list are extensive with many local options. The service can be a bit hit or miss, but the personality of the staff makes up for it. I'm a vegetarian so I don't always find the greatest food options, but all of my carnivore friends and family love having a meal here.”
“I thought the food was fantastic and will definitely be back . Slightly expensive but well worth it . Loved everything i ate. I ate the chicken Marsala , perfectly cooked just excellent. My husband had lasagna that was delicious.”
“Love this place. Most of these negative reviews are such a reach. Adan below me is an absolute ?. This place is popping and has great beers, events, space and service.”
“Fairly fast, great staff, sometimes there drive thru speaker isn't very good though.Kid-friendliness: Always smiling this staff is kid and fur-babie friendly. They always ask my pups if they want a munchkin in the drive-thru.Dietary restrictions: I have a dairy allergy. This location is amazing when it comes to allergys.”
“This cafe is really one of a kind. The decor and ambiance is really welcoming, I could be in here forever. It feels like I've been transported to the set of a rainy indie film. Both times I've gone, I've spoken to Ava. Ava remembered me after the first time (which was two weeks prior), which felt really sweet. I usually hate being a regular, but at a place like Ashbary, I don't mind being recognized and taken care of :) My partner and I had plenty of sweets (which were all delicious), and the drinks were quite good. I had one of the Valentine's Day specials, and they had a house coffee. Both are really great, enough to come back. This place is out of the way for me, so I couldn't come here often logistically, but it is definitely worth the drive. I love it here!!”
“I had recommended this place to my friends as they had never had birria before and this place did not disappoint! I had a smile every time I took a bite out of the tacos de birria. The staff were very friendly and nice, and the overall this place gets a 10/10 outta me. I can’t wait to come here again and try the ”
“El Solazo's triumphant reopening heralds a new era for Mexican cuisine aficionados seeking an elevated dining experience. Located in the heart of the West Elsdon neighborhood, this sophisticated upscale restaurant effortlessly marries tradition with innovation, presenting a tantalizing array of traditional Mexican dishes infused with gourmet flair. As I stepped into El Solazo for the first time since its revival, I was immediately captivated by the vibrant atmosphere. The warm hues of ochre and terracotta, coupled with soft ambient lighting, created an inviting yet refined ambiance. The subtle strains of Mexican melodies floating through the air added to the restaurant's charm, setting the perfect backdrop for a memorable culinary journey. Deciding to savor a trio of tacos, shrimp, cochinita pibil, and al pastor – I embarked on a gastronomic adventure that exceeded all expectations. Each taco was a masterpiece in its own right, showcasing the chef's dedication to craftsmanship and flavor harmony. The shrimp taco showcased plump, succulent crustaceans nestled within a delicate homemade tortilla, harmoniously complemented by the crunch of onion, cilantro, and tomato. Following that, the al pastor taco whisked my taste buds away with its layers of marinated pork, roasted to perfection on a vertical spit. Each bite melted in my mouth, a delightful fusion of savory meat, caramelized pineapple, fragrant cilantro, and a hint of smoky chipotle. However, it was the cochinita pibil taco that truly stole the show. Tender, slow-cooked pork infused with a symphony of smoky, earthy flavors and adorned with pickled red onions transported me to the heart of the Yucatán with every bite. Each taco at El Solazo was a culinary revelation, a testament to the chef's dedication to quality ingredients and authentic techniques. From the first bite to the last, every morsel transported me on a sensory journey through the diverse landscapes of Mexico, leaving me eager to explore more of the menu's delights. El Solazo has undoubtedly reclaimed its place as a culinary gem, offering a sophisticated interpretation of traditional Mexican cuisine that delights the senses and leaves a lasting impression. Whether you're a connoisseur of fine dining or simply seeking an unforgettable meal, a visit to El Solazo promises an experience that transcends the ordinary and celebrates the extraordinary flavors of Mexico.”

“I have lived away from the Chicago area for 26 years. So whenever I am back I must indulge in a great Italian beef sandwich. I was staying near Midway so I decided to give Tony's a try. They did not disappoint. I phone ordered the "big beef" with hot peppers and provolone medium wet to go. They told me about ten minutes. I got there about 30 minutes later expecting to quickly pay pickup and be on my way but had to wait about 5 minutes or so. But I realized this was a good thing as they meticulously assembled the order with the peppers and oil in a separate container which otherwise would have made the sandwich a soggy mess by the time I got back to the hotel. The beef was perfectly moist and seasoned and the sandwich was huge. I only planned to eat one half but could not stop. The staff was super friendly. It is pretty much a take out spot with a small counter eat in area and a small off the street parking area in the back. I highly recommend Tony's for any connoisseurs of the Chicago style Italian beef sandwich.”
“Definitely a 5 STAR meal that we experienced. We took advantage of having a Loyalty Meal after collecting points, and it was worth the wait. Scott, it was a perfect evening!”
“Excellent food and even better service! Humbrto and the rest of the staff makes sure you have everything you need and wonderful experience all around. Great prices as well!”
“Our server Santana was great, we were there for brunch and we were looking forward to some hot coffee (which they do not serve), but Santana made us some hot coffee even though it was not on the menu to welcome us. He was great in making sure that we had everything! Would go back just to have him as a server again, the food was delicious, maybe they could include hot coffee on their menu in the future.”
“Best thin crust pizza I've ever had! This place is old school south side Chicago to the core. The decor is probably all the original and never been replaced and it fits perfectly here. You can belly up to the bar and get creme cocktails while you mingle with the locals. Worth the trip and can't wait to go back again.”
“Charming little ice cream place. Kids thought the ice cream was great, and there are non dairy options. One person in our group ordered coffee that was forgotten, and when she checked back with the cashier, the cashier asked to see a receipt for proof, I guess.”
“Hamdullah One of my favorite places to eat! The hummus!!!! The best … So tasty. The service… so genuine and loving. The food …soooo yummy and nutritious. Peace be upon the cooks and the preparers. Highly recommended.”
“We came here from Naperville since we had business nearby. Had to park three blocks away on an early Friday evening. Overall it was a great experience but somewhat expensive with 3 drinks. It got pretty noisy when full. Sharply decorated and very good food and menu selection. Waitress attentive but busy. I would go back especially for a special occasion.Nice portions on starter , entrees and dessert. Marco's is a nice independent upscale restaurant in the Western Suburbs. They obviously did their homework on this operation.”
“The staff here is sooooooo welcoming they are very attentive. I've never had an issue with coming here and I always give them complicated ordered and they fulfill it( allergies)!!!! This is my favorite spot and hospitality is what brings it all together. The food here is better than my sister in laws home cooked meals!(sorry ?). But I highly recommend!!”
“The drinks are excellent. The atmosphere is great. Additionally, Octavio's service was extraordinary. He was friendly, thoughtful, and did an amazing job explaining the menu and making recommendations. Will be coming back again.”
“Tried the zucchini soup for the first time. It was delicious! The mini fajita burrito is good and one of my favorite snack foods.Vegetarian options: Vegan food that's too delicious!! Vegetarians can eat it and non vegan customers as well.Dietary restrictions: GF, nut ingredients labeledParking: Street parking on Archer AveKid-friendliness: Have seen families enjoying their meal”
“Delicious pastor tacos, the only thing missing is a few pieces of pineapple or roasted onion and they would be the best pastor tacos in Chicago. (I wish they would add it) The toro taco was also very delicious and so was the sauce. :)”
“Incredible food for how small the place is.I visited an hour before close. One or two people working and got my Margherita pizza and a brownie. They got me my pizza in 11 minutes and it looks amazing and tastes amazing.Thin crispy crust not burnt at all. Cheese was excellent. All this goodness and the place is basically under a bridge ??”
