The restaurant is clean and nice for dining in. All around awesome choice for regular family dinners.”

“Four of us went Carlos and Carlos to celebrate three August birthdays. The staff was very friendly, accommodating, and courteous. You need to be prepared to read an extensive menu with specials of Italian dishes including pasta, veal, fish and meat to meet range of tastes. Also, available were soups, salads, desserts and appetizers with a decent wine list. Definitely worth a return visit.”

“Hubs and I came last night for an impromptu date night. The holiday décor was absolutely beautiful, you can tell a lot of effort and attention went into it. The staff were all super friendly and helpful! We arrived during the dinner rush, and given it’s the holiday season, I’m sure there’s an uptick in guests, but we were still seated within about 15–20 minutes, which was impressive. There is a one-hour dining limit during this season, I understand they’re turning tables quickly to accommodate everyone, especially having worked in the industry myself. However, I was really disappointed that every single item we ordered was cold. I don’t usually like to complain, so I didn’t mention it at the time, assuming it was just due to how busy the restaurant was. But after reading other reviews, it seems this may be a recurring issue, which is unfortunate. I’m not sure I would return, but on a positive note, the atmosphere was lovely and the staff were wonderful. Hopefully they can work with the kitchen to make sure the food is served hot, because everything else about the experience was great!”

“Always a wonderful experience. I must say, I wish their berry tartlets were the same as the ones they make for their Gays Mills, Wi restaurant. The berry topping has too much more sugar than the restaurant ones. I was disappointed I couldn’t have one today. I’ll just have to bring some extra home when I go back to Gays Mills. Everyone MUST go to their restaurant at least once!”

“My favorite coffee shop in Wilmette! The atmosphere is everything I want in a local coffee shop. I haven't tried many different food items (I'm a creature of habit, and always get my favorite) but what I have had is always excellent. The service is wonderful, and everyone who works there always is so friendly and looks like they enjoy the work. The patio out back is my favorite place to sit.”

“I’m a foodie, always down to explore unique flavors. And this place has many. Cafe con Leche, figs with cognac, Merlot with berries -YES! That one was my favorite. The authenticity of coffee and wine was very interesting to find in ice cream. The only thing I missed was the basic, crispy cones (they might’ve been out I didn’t ask) - the ones they had were way too sweet.”

“This was a nice tavern experience. The prices were moderate and the food was good quality. There were a few small details like 2 tomatoes and 1 cucumber in my salad, and an unenthusiastic server that technically could've been better, but it was a very enjoyable experience overall.”

“Wow!!! What a treat. The CYO bowls are my way to go because they let you decide exactly what you were going to get. If you don't want to go to the create your own route they have eight signature bowls that you can choose from. They also have a Bento Box that you can choose from or create on your own as well. For kids they offer a kids box for $11 which offers chicken beef tofu all Teriyaki style orange style or tempura. They have a ton of different sides from sushi rice to house salads to edamame to gyoza. What I really like so is the sunset cup, as it's a half a bowl with all the fixings at half the price.

This place is very solid and the prices are on point as the servings are enormous...

Plus the fact that you get free parking right outside and makes it a very easy option for lunch or dinner.”

“I was pleasantly surprised by how delicious my meal was! I wish I had snapped a photo of what I ordered—the sesame chicken salad was arranged beautifully and bursting with color. It also had way more flavor than I was expecting.

I also found the service to be exceptional and the workers were extremely kind. They went out of their way to be friendly and accommodating. Unfortunately, I forgot to ask for their names but to whoever was working around 12:30 pm on August 24th: you were so kind and friendly, thank you!!!

All in all, what a delightful surprise. I didn't expect anything extraordinary (this is a furniture store after all) but I left very impressed, pleased with my meal, and feeling full.”

“I ordered the Chicken Burrito, and it was absolutely delicious. The chicken was fresh, tender, and clearly well-marinated — every bite bursting with flavor and perfectly wrapped in a warm, soft tortilla. You can truly taste the quality and care in the preparation.
I also tried the Steak and Shrimp Tacos, and they were equally impressive. The steak was juicy and seasoned to perfection, while the shrimp were plump, fresh, and cooked just right. Each taco had that perfect balance of texture and spice that makes you want to order another round.”

“Growing up in nearby Northfield, the Dairy Queen on Lake Avenue was one of those wonderfully simple places that felt like part of the fabric of childhood. The Blizzards are delicious, but what I love most now is the nostalgia: summer evenings, familiar surroundings, and the uncomplicated thrill of getting ice cream. Decades later, it still brings me right back, and I’m grateful it’s still there.”

“The greeter seemed to not wanna be there, possibly from the attitude of the other staff, while she was trying to get us setup another dude jumped in and interrupted and took over. Figure out who does what.
I also found some bogus transaction on my card from this day, and the only time anyone ever took my card from me was from this restaurant I ended up with an uber charge but I DRIVE MY OWN CAR! this is the only time I had anyone else touch my card this day so is someone back there taking card information? has anyone else experienced this from this place? check your transaction history if this is a trend its gonna be a problem, if not perhaps a different vendor is doing it, eitherway its unproven yet so it doesnt affect my rating, if someone does get a bogus charge after going here, can you post it on a review so we can see a pattern.”

“Why do you keep going back if “every time you go” there is a problem? That’s seems crazy. I believe if they make a drink incorrectly they will remake it with a smile on their face. If they don’t have an ingredient what do expect them to do? I really like this location, they are friendly and are working hard to serve you. Out of Oatmilk? Have you addressed this with management? Maybe there is a shortage, transportation issues? Seems to me you just want to complain about workers who are making you something you don’t want to make for yourself. BE KIND is how I was brought up, what happened to you?”

It was actually spicy. Needs just a little something idk. Maybe cardamom.

“I “started” the subject that pertains to this transaction at the time, while the food was top tier, the services is what needs to shine. I placed an order for delivery, and when I looked at the app it said that the food was picked up. An hr or so had passed and I had not received my food. I made a call to the restaurant and the way that they appeased me was to remake my order and the owner himself brought me my food. That gesture went a long way for me, and I truly appreciated it.”
