Sukey's China Restaurant is known as a great local spot for comforting Chinese food. The sweet and sour chicken is crispy with plenty of sauce, while the beef Lo Mein and crab Rangoon are also favorites. Their egg rolls are one of a kind. Despite the old building and outdated decor, the restaurant has a certain charm. The staff are friendly, and the prices are reasonable, with a dinner for two costing under $20. The beef pepper steak was tender, although lacking in spices, and the teriyaki chicken was enjoyed. The wonton soup was decent, but the fried rice was dried out and bland. The egg roll seemed to have been fried in old oil. While the restaurant may not be visually appealing, the kind staff and affordable prices make it a worthwhile visit for classic Chinese dishes like the St. Paul sandwich.
