I usually go to Antigua in Crystal Lake. Decided to try Woodstock...eesh. no comparison. I've never had undercooked Hispanic rice. Today I did. I never had refried beans soup style with no salt. Today I did. I'll stick with crystal lake.

Atmosphere is pretty ok, but service is slow and unfriendly. Food is worse. If you want your yearly salt intake, just go here and eat ONE meal. I ordered enchiladas and the sauce was so salty that I couldn't eat but a few bites of it ... and I generally like more than normal salt in my food ... this was WAY over the top salty. The salsa is so runny that you can't even keep it on a chip long enough to get it to your mouth and taste it. Will not go back. Go to Mary's on the square if you want REALLY fantastic Mexican food. That's now our go-to place!!!

Let me tell you we have found our new Mexican restaurant in all of McHenry county!!! I am very picky when it comes to Mexican food, and let me tell you Antigua checked everybody and then some. Kiara our hostess/bartender/waitress gave us 10 star service, she was attentive and kind and even my kids felt special because of her. The food was absolutely amazing! I ordered the enchiladas, my husband the chimichanga, my daughter the kids taco, and my son the kids cheeseburger (yeah, we're working on it) and we were all blown away by everything. This place is hands down amazing and a great addition to Woodstock ❤️

What a disappointment ?. After months of hearing great news about Antigua, we finally got here for dinner...and will not go back.Atmosphere: 3Cleanliness: 5Service: 4Presentation of Food/Drink: 5Food: 2 at bestCost: 2. Higher than other Mexican restaurants/bars in the area and higher prices on the bill than on the menu.Horchata looked pretty, has a lot of cinnamon but is not as creamy as other places.Chicken chimichunga and chicken burrito were super salty. The chicken tasted more like tuna. This was not authentic tasting Mexican food in the least.Of the 4 of us, none of us enjoyed our meals and didn't even eat half of what we ordered. I spent $60 for two of us and that was not money well spent.

I've dined here 3 times and each experience was wonderful. I recommend the chicken mole enchiladas ( if you like mole). I look forward to trying other dishes in the near future. Service is excellent and friendly

Great food, great service, fair price! The only negative was that the music was a bit loud, making it difficult to hear the server and converse with our friends.

The Caldo de Cameron was outstanding! I was pleasantly surprised with the service and server. A very welcoming environment and the chips and salsa are delicious. Can't wait to come back!

Our server was awesome, recommended skirt steak so we got a salad with skirt steak and I got tacos with the skirt steak. GO HERE AND TRY IT, that's all I have to say. Absolutely

Interesting Mexican restaurant, if you haven't been I'd recommend trying it, not my favorite food but still high quality for the most part.

I ordered the taco lunch special which was delicious; one steak and one Al pastor. The salsas served with the chips were not spicy hot; the red one had tomato chunks and fresh cilantro, and the green one was smooth. I will be back to try everything on the menu! Great service and a real value for 9.99.

Food was delicious and came out hot and fast. Not enough seating. They could use banquette seating in here to fit more people/party tables. There were a few larger groups that had to wait or get squished into a booth.
