What a great find in this small town. Ertel Cellars is not only beautiful but also great quality food and wine. We got a table right by the windows where you can see into their production. Very cool! I enjoyed the Cabernet Sauvignon. My glass was full all the way to the top. We started with a cheese plate. Which was overwhelming in size, but underwhelming in quality unfortunately. Beautiful winery quietly tucked away in the rural area of Batesville IN.Great food, amazing staff, and awesome wine.GM (Terri) and owner (Tom) had some free time and took us on a private tour of the facility and the wine making process.Amazing time. Wine tasting is FREE (don't forget to tip)!Make some time for this gem, you won't regret it!

Recently renovated interior, dining room has large windows looking into the wine brewing room, beautiful scenery around the restaurant, free wine tasting and they have 18 different wines many of which are made from grapes grown right there on the property. There were no vegetarian main dish options on the menu, but the server spoke with the cook and made a fantastic pasta for me.
