Great place for breakfast so far. Food was good, service was excellent. The atmosphere is so clean and well lit. Homemade tenders were seasoned to perfection. The la Mexicana steak platter came with hash browns and eggs your way and toast. The steak was good but a little tough. Country fried steak was nicely portioned and good, according to my daughter in law.

Beware, you will probably pay more than you expect. We asked for a receipt to see why our bill was so much. The prices on the menu are not accurate. They are less than what gets ringed up. When we attempted to hand the server her tip, she said it was already added. She said anything over $20 automatically gets gratuity added to the bill. We had no idea. We almost left it on the table so they would've gotten double. The food and customer service needs work. I won't be returning.
This place greatly surprised me! The newest owner has worked to make the inside spacious and a rustic modern. Service was great and ambiance was calm after the morning rush before weekend lunch. Great Italian skillet, good avocado burger, and good hot chocolate. I absolutely loved the photographs of yesterday's East Chicago and the harbor. Don't let the construction stop you.

I thought I’d try this place since the new owners took over. I seen a lot of bad reviews, but I took a chance anyways.Our food was delicious. The portions were good too. A bit pricey, but I don’t mind paying for good food. I will recommend this place to everyone. Now I got to try the dinners.
